Whenever I call, the nice woman who answers is friendly, calls me by name, and demonstrates her appreciation for my business.
Yesterday afternoon, 2/13/25, I placed a big order: Wonton soup, pork fried rice, bbq spare ribs, steamed dumplings sesame chicken, and chicken with broccoli. Everything was delicious, cooked freshly, and portions were generous. Some places cut corners by giving less chicken, but Moon Star puts plenty of chicken in the meals.
I was allowed to take a 2-liter bottle of soda for free, and to our surprise, there was a HUGE portion of freshly-made fried dough (my wife's favorite!)

“panda garden consistently makes the best take-out chinese food in this area by far. the options are plentiful, and the food is always tasty, hot, and well prepared and packed. i appreciate the choice of rice including brown rice, which i prefer. the appetizers, the mains, the combination dishes..... everything is great. their wonton soup is a hit both for flavor and for wonton quality. i drive past at least 3-4 other restaurants who serve the same kind of stuff to get their food. i recommend panda garden without reservation.“

Peking Garden in Brewster has held their ground for many years. The consistency of their food, and the pride they take in ownership is why they are #1. They offer menu items that you cant get anywhere else in the whole county, and the flavor is always the best. They serve the freshest vegetables and use the best ingredients to make their dishes really stand out. When I get Peking Garden I have to literally force myself to stop because it's so good that even when I'm full I just want another bite, and another bite lol.“

“Ordered togo, but ate while waiting for my ride. The food was fresh and delicious. Lots of flavor and not too greasy. Got chicken and brocolli in brown sauce, and it was generously coated.

The people were very nice and happy to make accommodations. The place is has tables to sit and eat. Their little decorations are cute.

I've always been pleased with what they serve and their service. Shout out to their dumplings in particular, not too doughy, not too greasy.. Just perfect!“

“SOOOO GOOD! I ordered the fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice, vegetable lo mein and lemon chicken. The fried dumplings were perfect and the sauce was on point. The shrimp lo mein was fresh and the lo mein and chicken were also excellent.

“This downtown Chinese restaurant has a quick inexpensive buffet or you can order from the take out menu. We have had both while we visited Danbury, CT. The buffet is fresh and we enjoyed the chicken and broccoli, the veggie lo mein, and the string beans. It is an all you can eat buffet for a flat fee. We ordered won ton soup for lunch one day. A pint of soup contained four big wontons in a tasty broth. Dark and kind of dreary interior, but just sit by the windows so if it bothers you.“

“It was okay. We felt it was your average Chinese food, nothing to write home about.Our favorites were the crab Rangoon and the boneless spare ribs. Both were cooked to perfection.The fried wontons, fried dumplings and sweet and sour chicken were all barely warm and chewy, when we got home we had to re-heat all these. They almost tasted old. General tso was okay. Flavor was good but chicken needed to be crunchier, and we found numerous bones which was just unappetizing.Although we didn't hate it, there were good parts, we will be trying out other places in the area first before going back.“

“Went for a meal to eat after a long day at work. Was looking for a simple, stomach filling place to eat for a decent price. This place was just that. The girl at the front who seems to be the daughter saw me and stood up to take my order. The food was ready in just a few minutes but they still tasted amazing. They're not world-changing, but you get what you pay for. I also had a nice conversation with the owner, making the space really comfortable. I've been to several Chinese takeout restaurants around states (I travel a lot), but this place gave me such a hearty experience I just had to rate it.“
