“Best DQ in CT the ice cream is just different here the texture and taste is way better, the toppings are always generous and they actually fill the cup over the top so you definitely get what you pay for here. The employees are always polite and always get the orders correct.

Parking: There’s like 15 parking spots there is 1 handicap spot but no matter where you park you’ll be close to the building.

I pulled off the interstate while traveling to eat lunch at the Brownstone House of Guilford.

As I was leaving, what do I see directly in front of me? You guessed it, ice cream!

And no self-respecting foodie is going to ignore that gastronomical sign of the heavens, right?

Wonderful flavors, I had mint chip in a waffle cone, and an assortment of many other sweet concoctions.

They also make ice cream cakes that are holiday and season themed. I hear that Halloween time is especially enchanting.

“Stopped by here on a whim as I was driving through. I got the black bean burger, which was incredible (built my own with a bun, cheddar, and some avocado). It was well made and crispy on the edges. Very flavorful. The French fries were awesome too - seasoned well. They tasted almost like curly fries, but better.

I remember when the people working there knew your face sometimes even your favorite meal or ice-cream. Now they sit you down very small talk and it seams like they can't keep there employees. “My server was Johna and she was amazing! Courteous, professional, friendly, and attentive are just a few terms I would use to describe her. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions were huge. Hubby had the fried seafood combo plate. He has never taken a doggy bag and he brought home half his plate. I ordered the hot crab dip with garlic bread as an appetizer and a cup of lobster bisque. We shared the appetizer and it was so delicious. You could tell it was made with lump crab and there was actual lobster claw meat that was in the bisque. I’ve never had it before where you could actually see large pieces of meat. From atmosphere, to service, to taste and quality this was definitely a 10 out of 10. Will definitely be going back! And special thanks to the manager who gave my hubby a piece of carrot cake on the house for our 35th anniversary.“
