“We stopped by today after a long walk- the arrangements were fantastic. The flavors are listed outside on an A frame sign, lots of clear, easy to read signs about how to order. Staff was super friendly and happy to help. The kids enjoyed the ice cream! :) Thank you guys! Nicely done! :)“
“Very hard working and kind young staff. Busiest times are at night, but always worth the wait!Vegetarian options: All vegetarian, some vegan options as wellDietary restrictions: Sugar free, and low fat optionsParking: In the Hamden Plaza, full of parking right across the sidewalkKid-friendliness: Crayons and paper are provided through requests! Super fun colorful atmosphere“
“What an amazing event! i have eaten at the Microcreamery but did not know they did parties!!What a pleasant surprise !!!! White Glove service with delicious ice cream !!Shahan arrived with a freezer, toppings , warm syrups, cups spoons, a wonderful partner and Amazing Service!!!!!!this was a retirement party- reasonably priced and delicious . i cannot say enough about their service, flexibility and quality!!Can recommend without reservation!!!“
“Fabulous food, wonderful atmosphere and great staff. Noise was a bit loud, but being in a booth made all the difference. Our waiter was great, but very busy and he had a lot of tables so it took awhile to order. He was great after that - very attentive and many other helpers. Our 3rd time there and definitely my favorite spot in New Haven!!!“
“A dessert shop known for soft serve and high prices but justifies its cost with extremely quality dessert.Would definitely recommend getting more than just a soft serve such as the ice cream with cookie simply because combinations items are better and you will have a much better experience2nd in dessert only to Elm St. Diner***Ice cream + cookie = A brown butter chocolate toffee cookie with a hint of espresso is a rare find and exemplifies the sophistication of flavors in each of their items. Definitely a flagship itemBrownie Haven = An interesting flavor which may not be appealing to all flavor pallets but definitely delicious“
“My wife and I took a private pottery throwing lesson with Emily. She inspired us to take a six week lesson followed by another six week lesson. We then became members. We love it there. What a wonderful pottery community! Thank you Jess!Side note: the paint-your-own is super popular there, as well as glass fusing, candles, and mosaics. It’s a great place to get together and drink some wine and be creative or bring the kids for a party!“
“The Big Dipper!! Currently reigns my favorite ice cream parlor in CT! This hidden gem is to die for! Their flavors are so intriguing and the thickness of the ice cream is perfection!! I love their classic chocolate and their chocolate mousse when they carry it!! I wish they were opened all year round! 4.9/5 stars for me!“
“I enjoyed everything about Billy's Old Fashioned Ice Cream. My husband grew up in the area, this was my first time. The decor super cute with a working model train going around on the track. No one was yet at the ice cream counter but a nice girl / women came over right away we had no wait. Our order was two sundaes. My sundae was coffee carmel expresso with peanut sauce, whipped cream, cherry, and chocolate sprinkles. The 2nd sundae my husband's usual the classic vanilla ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, and crushed oreos. One thing I noticed about Billy's that was done differently which I enjoyed our chosen sauces were through out our sundaes. Several places I have been to for ice cream the sauce is either just on top of the ice cream or over the whipped cream. Good technique Billy's.“
“It was my first time ever trying Crumbl cookies! Amazing! I wish there was one closer to my home.Parking: There is just so many store in the strip mall that there just isn’t enough parking for all. I had to park much further away than I would’ve liked but it was still accessible for me. If you had someone that was less as accessible they may just drive on. Maybe if there was a Crumbl quick 15 min parking that may help!“
“We had the most enjoyable ice cream after a gorgeous summer day this holiday weekend, visiting family in Connecticut. Sweet Cream's in Wallingford had an impressive list of flavors, the usuals as well as innovative flavors such as Rice Krispy Treat, and Nutella flavor. I had a ginger snap on a cone and it was delicious. The service was great which always is a plus. We all enjoyed our homemade ice cream and will be back when we are in town next time for sure“
“This is a lovely little new ice cream shop in the Yalesville section of Wallingford. The ship is brightly lit with typical tables inside and out. The summer time outdoor seating attracts bees which takes away from the experience if anyone in your party is scared of or allergic to bees. The flavors are yummy, brightly colored when appropriate and the fixin's selection is good. No freezer burnt experiences yet. Outside the scoop shop, a few doors down, you can find a koi pond, water display. Not sure if it's seasonal but the kids liked it. If tables are dirty it's due to inconsiderate customers and the crowds.Parking: Lots of spots, just be sure to look around you when backing up in a busy lot.Kid-friendliness: Kids approved.Wheelchair accessibility: Stroller friendly.“
“AMAZING service!! Me and my family went late at night to grab some goodies and the worker was so nice :) she was patient and described each dish to us and gave us complimentary items as well! The bakery was so cute and warming when we entered! 100% recommend if you're looking for a friendly family environment serving delicious food!“
“I have never had a bad ice cream from Bananas! I have always been a lover of their cotton candy ice cream but went in and tried their new flavors and I was blown away. This shop is small, sweet and full of smiles. Great service and care. The only down side I have is I wish it was closer to my house!Dietary restrictions: They offer many options for those who have restrictions.Parking: They have parking in the front and side.Kid-friendliness: My kids love coming to bananas and trying new ice cream and new toppings. Always a great stop for them.“
“My first time having crumbl was breast cancer awareness week, and I drove an hour to try and support it was amazing and it’s a ritual to go to crumbl on the best weeks as often as I can, the atmosphere was great and they never disappointed me will continue to go!“
“We love Arethusa! Best ice cream in downtown New Haven - you need to try their seasonal flavors, especially the new hazelnut with chocolate espresso beans . The seasonal pumpkin flavor is also excellent, and the sweet cream flavor is also always a go-to. Pro-tip: You can get one scoop split into two flavors - just ask! I only wish that they were open later because sometimes I crave ice cream past 8 pm!“
“Such a good experience! I love ashleys its my favorite ice cream shop ever. And their black raspberry ice cream is unbelievable my favorite flavor ever. And I hate raspberries. They staff is decent they could be nicer is my only feedback. Sometimes they look like they hate their job. This location doesn't have outdoor seating just in case the one in branford does though! It's retro style and cute.Vegetarian options: All vegetarianDietary restrictions: All dairy heavyParking: Its right by Yale the parking is impossibleKid-friendliness: Decent for kids but almost no seating so get takeoutWheelchair accessibility: It's fairly open a bit cramped for a wheelchair“
“The staff were kind to a first-time visitor whose brain was fried from a day of travel.I tried the black & white milkshake. Pretty sure it made me see God.If Google Maps guides you through Green Garden St, skip that step; it's a tiny little road that unnecessarily loops you through a residential area. You can directly access the parking lot through Gerrish Ave.“
“Went here unexpectedly for breakfast. I had the avocado toast. The portion was plenty for one person. The balance was great of all the ingredients. Plan on taking your food and eating it somewhere else as seating is limited. We happened to grab a barstool facing the water which was nice. Would recommend! Can't wait to go back and try something else!“
“THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER!!!!! Literally ruined ice cream living in nyc I now am obsessed with Ashley's. Especially their blackberry ice cream flavor. And I don't even like blackberries but this is my new favorite flavor. You have to try it. It's delicious creamy and so so addicting. Defintely get a milkshake in my opinion thats the best way to experience it. I literally sometimes get 2. My one feedback is the staff is usually teenagers who hate their job and aren't very nice. I've been working since I was 16 and Defintely never had attitude but they do. But it's worth it for the ice cream. This spot is my favorite still because it has the outdoor seating available across from the green it's the cutest.Vegetarian options: It's all vegetarian!Dietary restrictions: Dairy heavy be prepared to pay the priceParking: It's right across the green so parking is difficultKid-friendliness: Perfect for kids!Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space for your wheel chair !“
“I didn't even know this place existed until my dad's girlfriend brought us there I had my daughter and my nephew and they got tons of candy they had homemade looking great desserts I loved the atmosphere it was a great place and I recommend it to anyone who's aroundKid-friendliness: It's a store almost made for kids they get to get a bag and pick out the candies people are very nice“
“On these hot days- ice cream is amazing. Dairy Queen offers an assortment of different kinds of ice cream. I had an oreo/ bownie Blizzard & loved it. My husband likes the cherry dilly bars. I was shocked @ how cheap an entire box of dilly bars was. Another favorite is vanilla on cone w/ rainbow sprinkles. Friday nights in North Branford they have classic carnight @ Dairy Queen. Great people awesome cars & ice cream. How can you go wrong.“
“Ben & Jerry's in New Haven, Connecticut is a family-run, locally owned and operated ice cream shop that has been serving up delicious scoops since 2012. The shop is located in the heart of downtown New Haven, just a short walk from Yale University and the New Haven Green. The Ben & Jerry's in New Haven is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The shop is always busy, but the staff is friendly and efficient, and they move the line quickly. The wide variety of unique and creative ice cream flavors, including vegan and dairy-free options. The high-quality ingredients and delicious taste of the ice cream. The friendly and efficient staff. The convenient location in the heart of downtown New Haven.“
“I finally tried PopCentric and I will say it's in a little strip mall but I did drive by it 2x . But it's a small little place but huge variety of popsicle flavors from chocolate to mango raspberry lime creamsicle etc . They are a bit pricey but it's all natural fruit . It actually had fruit in them . Nice refreshing treat other than ice cream . Good luck to them the staff was very nice . Enjoy Chris M“
“Stopped by 1 afternoon for some traditional Mexican and this place did not disappoint. It is a mid size spot in the center of town in Wallingford. When you walk there are about 6 tables with the person taking orders by the register. The place is super casual and the girl working on the front super friendly. We had burritos and tostadas which were very good. The burrito which was what I had was super big and flavorful. Burritos are one of those meals that you can't go wrong with. The tostadas were what you would expect, crunchy with lots of toppings. Definitely a place to stop by while in Wallingford.“
“Wow!!!! My boyfriend and I tried this new little spot on a whim and boy was it GOOD!!!! Honestly the best Mexican I’ve had in the states and I’ve lived in LA, California. It was so fresh and well made. Absolutely delicious. The tostadas were fire! So was the corn but those Churros!!! Honey. Let me tell you. THE BEST THING IVE EVER HAD! Get the caramel. I’m sure they’re all good but we got the caramel. It was like a warm custard inside of the churro. I thought it was gonna just be a sauce you dipped it in. They were excellent!!!!! I have a burrito I’m saving for later but I have no doubt it’s gonna be magic. Don’t sleep on this spot. It’s 100% worth it and the prices were beyond fare. Oh we also got tacos. I didn’t eat those but my man. Did. He loved them!!! Definitely go! And go now before they get so popular you can’t get in! Also, it needs to be mentioned that the customer service was outstanding. They were so kind and patient. Helpful. And all with a smile. I’mTelling you. Next big thing in Wallingford ??“
“Always so fresh and warm each cookie I’ve gotten over the last 4 years. The staff are friendly. I was able to get a sample of a vegan chocolate cookie which I’d never usually try on my own and been hooked ever since thank you. Always quick as well, and the location is great so many things to explore and experience but even better ending the night with freshly baked cookies from you guys.“
“Sweet Claude's is a great ice cream spot in Cheshire! They recently moved from their location on Route 10 to a building on West Main St. (part of the Ball & Socket Arts building) and I visited them at their new location recently. While the inside looks different, they still have the same great homemade ice cream!I ordered the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in a waffle cone and it was excellent. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The new location seems to have more parking than the old one, and more benches to sit.Make sure you add Sweet Claude's to the list for your CT ice cream tour this summer!“
“Definitely had to try this (what appears to be) Cheshire institution. Our order did take a while to prepare but not an outrageous amount of time. To me, that's a good thing as you know it was being prepared to order. Food was good and nicely prepared. My wife had the "butch burger" and it did live up to the praise - very tasty and done as requested. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was done nicely with a tasty but not-too-hot buffalo sauce, lettuce, tomato and bleu cheese. Crinkle cut fries done nicely topped off our meal. Service was very friendly. Didn't get a chance to try the ice cream menu, but it did look yummy. I did like the fact that unlike many "roadside stands" I've found throughout CT (many of which don't have indoor seating areas), Rose Dairy had an outdoor seating area in a permanent open air covered structure. No "table umbrellas" to have to deal with. Good way to keep out of the sun on those hot summer days - and the ceiling fan in the outdoor area was a nice touch as well. I'd definitely give it a try if you're in the area (in-season, of course).“
“Dip top is your standard ice cream place, walk in, get ice cream, and go outside to enjoy it! The service is delectable not to mention their wide range of flavors, soft serve, dip, and many flavors of hard ice cream that if I were to list I would still be writing tomorrow! As there is no seating inside, you really have to depend on the weather to have a good vibe while enjoying your ice cream, but nevertheless they have very nice benches outside on their own private little lawn, with a generous amount of garbage cans you'll hands with never get drenched in melted ice cream if you do dare to throw away the delicacy that is dip top ice cream!“
“How can I begin this review? The staff at dairy Queen should have their own sitcom. They are so much fun but professional at the same time. I ordered the Cherry dip cone. The same kind of treat I used to get as a child. Actually, I felt like a child again. This smooth chocolate taste combined with cherry flavor was so good. As I said, the whole package is awesome. I think I'll call the manager or owner and tell them what a nice experience I had there.“
“This Dairy Queen Has stood here for over 40 years, I remember going there in the summer time when across the street was Stop N Shop back in the late 70s. I'm so happy it still there and still the same. Best place ever. Wish i still lived in Wallingford. But i will be making a trip there soon and surely stopping by this place again. Thanks for the great memories.“
“So, we ordered a birthday cake for 20 people. My daughter picked up a 10" cake. I was concerned. I called the store. The manager got on the phone. He researched the issue. Told me it was their mistake. THEN HE PERSONALLY delivered a new cake to us at no charge. That manager will always get our business. I understand business can make mistakes. Be honest, own it, and you will be my vendor of choice for life“
“One of my favorite places to go where the customer service is one of the most consistent and best for fast food. Especially if their females serving you got the most time. If the males perform as good as the females and if I'd order a icecream and without the top it doesn't look like it's going to fall off the cup I'd give it a 5 star.“
“What is a girl to even say?!?! I love this place!!!!! My boyfriend and I finally tried it and we will not go anywhere else for ice cream now. Fresh, icy, creamy but not too heavy, and so so tasty. The prices are unreal- I spent $8 for 2 people…… What?! Somewhere else would’ve been $20 for two people at least!!!“
“The man who runs the window is so nice and kind. Absolutely the kindest man, best customer service we’ve ever had! we’re going to come here ALL the time. They’ve got an awesome selection and they’re open late, best place ever! ❤️“
“Their ice cream is delicious, definitely worth a trip out. They also have delicious ice cream cakes. Be sure to provide a little lead time for a cake purchase, and they will have it ready to go for you. I like to order mine about a week ahead of time.“
