“Waaaayyyyy better than some of these other pizza places everyone talks about in New Haven. I’m from NY and it’s been hard to find good pizza. Please don’t recommend those other “popular” pizza places. They were trash compared to this place. Nobody tops NY pizza but this place was really good.“

“Had state street for the first time today after a hockey game. It was super busy but they quickly got us seated nonetheless. The food was SO GOOD. Well worth the price! The siracha maple syrup is FANTASTIC.“

“We were a large party of 8 with no reservation for my son's birthday. We didn't have to wait for a table so that was amazing. The bar was backed up, so we got our salad before our drinks even though our drink orders were placed before our dinner orders. My mom and I both got the garganzola steak Alfredo dish. We were so looking forward to it, but it was over cooked so we were bummed. We didn't even take the left overs because they were too over cooked to reheat. We celebrated my son's 4th birthday, he said it was the best birthday ever 😆 so he loved his meal and the tablet at dinner.“

She is exactly what superior customer service should look like in the food industry. She was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive to the customers. What an asset to your team!“

“A wonderful family spot for dinner. Visited here many times with friends and family and we tried a wide variety of dishes and everything was among the best food I’ve ever had. I asked for spicy—but not overwhelming—and they nailed it perfectly. The staffs are incredibly professional and took the time to explain the dishes to me as a first-timer. I’ll definitely be returning—regularly.
While I spent a bit, the portions were generous and I had plenty of leftovers. In my opinion, the prices were very fair for the quality and quantity of food. Fair to recommend them.“

“In bed at 5am writing this review a week after the fact, so that should say a thing or two about how good these guys’ pizza is. Driving down to New Haven for a pie at one of the big three spots from where I live in Western Massachusetts has long been a favorite weekend trek. That trek is definitely going to happen a lot less, since seeing the One Bite review of this gem and then trying it myself. The mozzarella pie is probably the best that I’ve ever had. Period. Excellent char and the sauce is insane. I’m sensitive to dough and get really bloated easily. Fuoco’s crust is just a little thicker than, say, Sally’s, but it’s light and airy and I get no reaction from it, which tells me it’s great quality. Everyone really should have access to pizza this good….there would be a helluva lot less trash pies out there in the world. And the prices are affordable. I loved my pie so much I made the hour drive back down three days later on NYE. I ordered four pies for a party and almost stepped back in to get another because I ate three slices in the parking lot before pulling off haha. It’s that good. On a final note, I had no wait either time and the staff was friendly as ever and made me feel really welcome. They deserve ALL the recognition!“

“Usually their salads are delicious. But today i came by, right when they opened up (prob a mistake) and ordered a crispy chicken salad … My salad was done in about 5 mins …. ( how can chicken be cooked that fast?) Anyway, i tried to eat the salad for dinner. My croutons were stale, the bread was stale and tomatoes along with the cucumbers tasted like theve been sitting out from the night before. I doubt chicken was freshly made. I’m so disappointed. “Great menu fresh and unique ingredients. Great cocktails and wines that pair nicely with menu. Everything was cooked and presented perfectly. I had the Niman Ranch Pork Copa. And some eggplant caponata crostini as appetizer. We stopped at the rooftop bar for a cocktail and snack. We had Tuna tartare with wasabi peas. Service ambience. Made it a perfect Evening and the Hotel is awesome too.“

“During lunch break from having to serve jury duty I found this coffee shop down the street and decided to pop in. The two behind the counter were very friendly and inviting, and the special grilled cheese with tomato or bacon with soup was PERFECT . the chicken corn chowder came out piping hot and didn't even need any salt or pepper. I'm usually skeptical when someone has to make my coffee instead of me doing it, but unlike dunkin donuts the gentleman made it just right! they seem to have a familiar and friendly customer fan base, and I would definitely go back again.“

“There's a good amount of parking in their lot that runs alongside the Farmington Trail. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. Inside is comfortable, with a diner atmosphere in a well maintained and clean restaurant. The food is very good with reasonable sized servings at good prices. Definitely will be back!“

“My wife and I had the opportunity for a late lunch today. This was our second trip to the this location. We went back because ALL the employees are extremely professional and there to provide the optimal experience. While we were dining several people came up to us asking if we needed a refill or if there was something else they could do to make our visit the best that it could be. There were a group of people at a larger table and i could see some badges. Chic-fil-a badges. I assumed on of them was the franchises owner and I was able to figure out who he was. This man as he was walking up to the counter and he asked how we were doing. He cared. He listened. It was TODD the owner. We had a great conversation and made us feel welcome. We complemented him on his location. I let him know the fresh waffle fries are what got my attention. Todd, congrats for what you have and what you are doing for your company. “I really like this place for amazing salads. All ingredients are fresh and there are many choices. The açaí bowls are hands down one of the best I’ve had. My reason for not giving 5 stars is because of service. I know the workers are busy preparing phone orders but when you have people in the shop, serve us! I feel like I spend a lot of time waiting to be helped. Last tip: get the Fig dressing , the dressing alone is a reason to get a salad!! You won’t be disappointed.“

“Our family has been to many different pizza places but for some reason uptowns pizza is one of the best pizza pies around especially if you add mushrooms.Not only is the pizza amazing but we get the honey bbq wings with the bone and ranch dressing instead of blue cheese and it blows your mind it is so good the chicken is tender and the skins not grisly it is cooked perfectly. “We're traveling through CT on our way home and stopped into the Meriden location for a late lunch. We were warmly greeted by both front of house guys, got a fun bell ring and a "Gratzie!" for our 20% tip. Our veggie sandwich was delicious, great bread, and the perfect amount of dressing. Our chicken caesar was fresh and tasty. Used the bathroom before we left and it was very clean and smelled nice! If we were local we'd be there all the time.“

“I like this place a lot. I’ve dined in and done take out. Staff and owner are so nice. This a great place to stop in if you’re having an Apple Store visit and want to pass time or just need a break from walking broadway and shopping. Will keep going back.

The calzone sauce is great, in my opinion.Just be careful at night, it's located across from a 24 hour gas station and every time I've picked up an order at night I've been bum rushed by panhandlers and some can get pretty nasty.
