“Ever tell yourself, "I could use some good home-cooking" - but where someone else cooks, tends to your needs andcleans up afterwards? Well, hustle over to Joy's Kitchen then, less than a mile north of Mohegan Sun, 'cuz they do all three of these things really well. On a recent brunch visit, my wife and I immediately appreciated how attentive and polite the servers are. And the place is downright homey! Next, since I always cherish an eatery that can conjure up a heapin' bowl (or cup) o' grits, I'll be long remembering Joy's. Grits just that good! And under Mr. Flores' new but seasoned guidance, you can expect really fresh eggs, meats, veggies and home fries, nicely prepared American and/or Mexican style - and at darn good prices. The coffee and tea are also tend to flow about steady as thenearby Thames River, just hotter 'n tastier! The only glitch I detected was my bacon showed up a bit crispy, but server Marcos was ready to bring a softer batch pronto if I wanted; and he deserves top grades for his hospitality. All in all, if you want a comfy corale where you can fill up on tasty, nutritious fare, stop looking! Skedaddle over to Joy's, the warm, local place to eat and relax!“
“EVERYTIME I go the staff is friendly and efficient. Food is always great. I will continue to come here for many different dishes, from pizzas & calzones to wraps and pasta dishes. Irene’s special pasta, yum! Buffalo chicken wrap, delicious. Pizza & calzones always fresh & hot to order. Happy to be close enough to order here or eat in. Great family owned and run.“
“Stopped here for lunch with my family. All the food was super fresh and delicious. The bathroom wasn't very clean and could use some updating. But the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. Will definitely return!“
“Every time I come here, I know what to expect… Great food, drinks, and extremely friendly staff right down to the owner! It’s a great spot for any gathering with friends, family, or colleagues, for lunch during the day or a very nice atmosphere for dinner. Highly recommend stopping in!“
“My kids and I order from Asylum Street Pizza every Friday night. It’s our tradition, and it has been for almost two years now, since I moved into the Asylum St area. We love it! The pizza is always perfect, our order is always ready right on time, and everyone there is so friendly, from the girls at the counter to the gentleman from the kitchen, to the owner himself. They took the time to remember my name, and they always say a friendly hello no matter how busy they are. My favorite pizza restaurant in Norwich!!!!!“
