“Very good. Best Fried Shrimp I’ve ever had! My onion rings soaked up too much oil though, my dad got the curly fries with his meal and those came out very good. Clam chowder was very good too, not the best I’ve ever had, but a very good bowl! I think they have a decent lobster roll, my brother got it and enjoyed it, but it looked like it should have had more lobster for a $35 roll. Prices are out of control over the past few years, but i understand owners have to cover costs. Overall food was good. Very friendly staff and clean picnic tables. Ice cream was great as well. Would stop again next time I’m back in Old Lyme.”

“From jumpstreet, these people treat you like an old friend. Great place to keep ur chops polished. You never know what song is coming @ the "pickin party". And it's a challenge and exhilarating at the same time. Dan and Gayle create a very comfortable living room setting as comfortable as can be.”

“Excellent Experience. Stopped at that Subway to buy myself and 2 workers lunch on the way back from a job. The 2 ladies working were very friendly, polite and attentive. The elder of the 2 who had taken care of me made a great wrap suggestion and the food was great. Besides the friendly staff there are chairs outside to sit in which was great on such a nice day.”

“My friend and I had a phenomenal time at brunch here. The restaurant is gorgeous, the staff are doting, and the food was outstanding.
I had been here once before with a different friend, but wasn't in a place where I could afford more than soup and bread.
I am so thankful I came back when I had saved up a bit of money so I could enjoy a full meal and drink. I guarantee no matter what you order you will be impressed. Their menu is kinda small which allows them to perfect everything they offer.”

The chicken capris is absolutely delicious, and the staff there, especially our server, was incredibly kind and welcoming. This new restaurant’s staff and owners try very hard to please their customers. We will definitely be back!”

“We have been to Shayna B's at least 10 times. The food is always amazing! Yesterday, 8 of us celebrated my wife's birthday. Everyone, including the non-gf folks, loved the food! The staff was great. I can't say enough nice things!!!”

“My husband and dined here for the first time last evening. We both savored the experience. From the moment you walk in the door, you know that you are in for something unique. The cocktails, especially the white Negroni, were excellent. The food was top tier. I had one bite of my husband’s halibut and fell in love. I opted for several starters. Oh! To be a mussel luxuriating in that broth! Ceviche portion was HUGE and clean and fresh, lobster risotto was so creamy and warm. I wanted the entire dessert menu, but selected the frozen soufflé, which was light and dreamy. An night out like no other! Thank you chefs!”

The restaurant has ample parking and a charming, decorative interior that adds to the experience. We ordered Chicken Korma and ghee-topped wheat chapatis. The chapatis were soft and perfectly made, while the Chicken Korma was bursting with flavor. We asked for medium spice, and it was just right—rich, aromatic, and satisfying. A delightful stopover that we’ll definitely remember!”

Not only do they have brunch service, pastry counter, and coffees, they have a lot of specialty grocery items that are nicely curated and add to the vibe while you’re eating. Our waitresses were very attentive and knowledgeable. Boursin omelette was amazing, and we will definitely be back for more pastries!!!”
