“Very comfortable cider house. Sitting by the fire at the bar or one of the rustic tables you ate sure to find something enjoyable about this place. Occasional events like trivia or comedy the friendly stag will keep you lubricated in delicious regular and seasonal ciders. A small selection of prepackaged snacks are available but the curated selection of market goods to take home with bottled cider or growler fill is always good. “Myrcene is a hidden gem within Old Saybrook! We recently hosted a graduation party here with about 50 guests and it was the PERFECT spot to host a party. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They kept all of their delicious beers, wines, ciders and seltzers flowing for our guests and allowed us to bring in our own food and desserts (this was a game changer for us when looking for a spot to host a party locally). From the time we set up to the time we cleaned up the owners offered to help and were always there to see if we needed anything. The inside space is perfect for a gathering, plus they have a wonderful outside space too for guests to sit and relax and play lawn games. I can’t recommend them enough for your next party or just for a local meet up with friends and family for a delicious drink!“

“The fruit and vegetable wines tend to be on the sweeter side. The tasting room is small and connects to a green house with flowers and flower baskets. In the tasting room you will also find various jams and sauces from the farm. All the people were kind and helpful.Wine Review:My wife really liked the rhubarb wine. Most rhubarb wines (mine included) are pink in color. Not Staehly's. Their rhubarb was greener, sweet, with a sativa or indica aroma and taste. It was interesting, but not off-putting.There are a number of fruit wines, most of which are a little on sweet side, even if they claimed the wine was dry. Alcohol level was around 10% for these wines. As a home wine maker, I typically aim for dry wines. If I want to sweeting the wine, I add about 5 ml of a Moscato wine to give it the aromas and sweetness while keeping the wine dry.“

“Black point pizza is always my go to when I want an absolutely amazing pizza. for me I have the cooks keep it in the oven a bit longer so it stands up when you pick it up to eat. the sauce is to die for also. if you like your pizza a little more firm just ask and the cooks are happy to make your food exactly as you like. minor the owner is a stand up guy and really did good with this recipe. the salads and his homemade balsamic dressing is the best I've had from anywhere. if you have not come out to black point you are really missing out. The bakery is excellent, the cookies are irresistible. Quaint gourmet sandwich, coffee, and gift shop in downtown Chester. Highly recommend, outdoor seating. Always friendly service.“

“Hungry after a few hours at Gillette Castle, we were looking for lunch/dinner. We had a wonderful experience at Pattaconk! Our waitress was friendly and attentive to my dietary needs (Celiac’s). We had a burger, quesadilla & Nashville chicken stripes. My burger had a gf bun & was delicious, husb & daughter loved the stripes & quesadilla. Restaurant had a nice, chill atmosphere, everyone enjoying drinks & food. We will be back when out in the area.“

“Absolutely LOVE Dev's On Main. The small plates menu is fabulous with many different and delicious items to choose from. Toasted goat cheese was heavenly, as was the shrimp cacio e pepe and the mongolian beef is a favorite. Main dishes were expertly prepared and have never disappointed. Fish and chips, citrus chicken, and the cod were outstanding. Cocktails were delicious as well. Service is warm and friendly. The atmosphere is fun and simple so it's easy to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. We have come here several times and always enjoy it.“

“We have been coming to David's place for a long time - usually very good. This time (7/23) was not the greatest. Ordered sea food salad roll toasted. It was not toasted and they have changed the sea food salad since last month. It was really good before - now it's more "Stop and Shop" type salad with big chunks. Before it was chopped up small and had a delicious taste. Also the chips were obviously the "bottom of the bag" ones. Sorry - just disappointed. We drove quite a few miles to eat there.“

“Great for a warm September afternoon lunch by the Old Saybrook Marina. The à la carte menus is extensive, delicious, and portions generous. We shared the whole grilled Branzino. The dish was well seasoned, but the bold ingredients came through with delicacy. The fish was grilled to perfection. Service is excellent. The venue is a resort and the one negative was the messy state of the bathrooms. This restaurant is well worth a visit - even at the $60/head price tag including drinks à la carte (there is a brunch menu).“

“Really nice CT hole in the wall spot. A bit away from the busy downtown area of Niantic, and right past the famous Book Barn, if you're coming from the North. Inside is nice an cool, with enough space for people to eat. As well as outside tables by the porch or the front of the venue if it's nice and cool.

Eventhough it was busy, these people were fast.

Once you get in, you go right to the front desk and order. If there's a line, make sure to have already picked what you want. Don't wait last second to figure it out. It's not polite. Then pay and get your receipt and your number.

Take a seat and make sure the waiter and waitress sees the number for your food.

We had a pleasant time. They have two doors so you dont have to leave the same way you came in and bathrooms.

If you have children or wheelchair, make sure to have someone to order for you since the first step of the venue is tall. Making it hard to get in for wheelchair ♿ people.

Decent parking space. Just pay attention with the ongoing traffic. People drive too fast and they stop for nothing when you are leaving the plaza.“

However, Spice Club surprised me with really good sushi apps and great main thai dishes. The ambience is pretty good too and the hostess was very kind and accommodating.“
