“In bed at 5am writing this review a week after the fact, so that should say a thing or two about how good these guys’ pizza is. Driving down to New Haven for a pie at one of the big three spots from where I live in Western Massachusetts has long been a favorite weekend trek. That trek is definitely going to happen a lot less, since seeing the One Bite review of this gem and then trying it myself. The mozzarella pie is probably the best that I’ve ever had. Period. Excellent char and the sauce is insane. I’m sensitive to dough and get really bloated easily. Fuoco’s crust is just a little thicker than, say, Sally’s, but it’s light and airy and I get no reaction from it, which tells me it’s great quality. Everyone really should have access to pizza this good….there would be a helluva lot less trash pies out there in the world. And the prices are affordable. I loved my pie so much I made the hour drive back down three days later on NYE. I ordered four pies for a party and almost stepped back in to get another because I ate three slices in the parking lot before pulling off haha. It’s that good. On a final note, I had no wait either time and the staff was friendly as ever and made me feel really welcome. They deserve ALL the recognition!“

“The Pinnacle of High-Class Dining

Well, folks, let me tell ya, I done seen some fancy places in my day—like the Red Lobster out by the interstate—but nothing, and I mean *nothing*, coulda prepared me for the high society experience that is Olive Garden. This ain't just dinner, it's a dang *event*.

First thing I noticed was the atmosphere. Real cloth napkins, not just the scratchy brown ones from a gas station dispenser. A lady in a button-up shirt brought us bread *for free*, and I nearly fell out my boots. That’s hospitality, right there. The sign says, *"When You’re Here, You’re Family,"* and I gotta say, I ain't never felt more like kinfolk anywhere that didn't have a bail bondsman on speed dial.

Now, the food? *Exquisite*. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo ‘cause it had the most expensive-soundin' name, and buddy, it was like the Lord Himself boiled those noodles. My cousin Bubba Joe said his spaghetti was “real gourmet,” and that’s sayin’ something, ‘cause he usually eats his pasta straight out the can.

Course, not all my kinfolk appreciated the refinement. My Aunt Brenda Sue got kicked out ‘fore the salads even hit the table ‘cause she tried lightin’ a Marlboro right there in the booth. She said, *“I thought this place was Italy! Don’t them Europeans love smokin’?”* The manager did not see her logic.

Then there was my brother Cletus, who took the “All You Can Eat” breadsticks as a *challenge*. After about basket number seven, the waiter started givin’ us the side-eye, but Cletus just kept hollerin’, *“I ain’t full yet, fancy boy!”* I think they were fixin’ to cut us off, but then cousin Raylene started flirtin’ with the busboy and bought us a little more time.

The night took a turn when my Uncle Randy decided to sample the wine list, which we usually don’t mess with unless it’s in a box. He said the house Chianti tasted like “fancy Welch’s grape juice with a kick,” and I’ll be damned if that ain’t the most poetic thing that man’s ever said. He got cut off after his fourth glass and tried tellin’ ‘em he was an *Italian prince* to get more. Didn’t work.

By the end of the night, after a heapin’ pile of pasta, unlimited salad, and just a *tiny* bit of property damage (Randy knocked over a whole display of them glass olive oil bottles while tryin’ to reenact a scene from *The Godfather*), we wobbled on outta there feelin’ like true high society folk. I ain’t never been nowhere that fancy, and I tell ya what, I’m gonna make Olive Garden our new special occasion spot.

“I recently ordered the House Meat Gyro Sandwich. It was delicious. It could have benefited from a bit more of their included tzatziki sauce, but it was still very good. Decent size gyro... Not the largest gyro I've received from places, not the smallest. Quick. This was the highlight. I called and asked, and the girl told me 10 minutes! Good and quick service over the phone and in person. This is one of those evaluations where I'm a bit torn between two ratings. I'd rate 4.5 stars if I could. However, I'm going to be pulled to rate one less star than 5 due to the cost. $12.99 for one delicious gyro is a bit more expensive than most similar gyros I've ordered. I ordered mine to go, so seeing tax on food ordered for carry out when I'm from Ohio seemed crazy to me lol. Actually brought the total for one gyro to-go to $13.94. Come on, Connecticut, stop stealing from the citizens! Seemed like a cool place inside.“

“Gino’s pizza has always been my favorite go to. Even now, living all the way in Litchfield it’s my preferred pizza spot! The owners are so kind and helpful! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable! The restaurant itself is always so clean and fresh!“

“My wife and I had the opportunity for a late lunch today. This was our second trip to the this location. We went back because ALL the employees are extremely professional and there to provide the optimal experience. While we were dining several people came up to us asking if we needed a refill or if there was something else they could do to make our visit the best that it could be. There were a group of people at a larger table and i could see some badges. Chic-fil-a badges. I assumed on of them was the franchises owner and I was able to figure out who he was. This man as he was walking up to the counter and he asked how we were doing. He cared. He listened. It was TODD the owner. We had a great conversation and made us feel welcome. We complemented him on his location. I let him know the fresh waffle fries are what got my attention. Todd, congrats for what you have and what you are doing for your company. “Our family has been to many different pizza places but for some reason uptowns pizza is one of the best pizza pies around especially if you add mushrooms.Not only is the pizza amazing but we get the honey bbq wings with the bone and ranch dressing instead of blue cheese and it blows your mind it is so good the chicken is tender and the skins not grisly it is cooked perfectly. “We're traveling through CT on our way home and stopped into the Meriden location for a late lunch. We were warmly greeted by both front of house guys, got a fun bell ring and a "Gratzie!" for our 20% tip. Our veggie sandwich was delicious, great bread, and the perfect amount of dressing. Our chicken caesar was fresh and tasty. Used the bathroom before we left and it was very clean and smelled nice! If we were local we'd be there all the time.“

“Since their move down the road, the quality of the gyro sandwich has dropped, possibly because they are now sharing space with a pizza restaurant. The gyro meat was okay (could have been hotter) but the vegetables added tasted like they had been sitting in a bowl together, waiting. A gyro that had been able to make my sister's eyes roll back in her head at the first bite, was now "Okay.," However the hummus was outstanding and I will be stopping in to pick up more when I pass by.

Dietary restrictions: Kept the onions and peppers out of my sandwich as requested.

Parking: Limited spaces in front of this line of stores. Also people coming to pick up pizzas.“

“My boyfriend and I frequently come in to this noodles and company and have been coming here for quite a while. They always have exceptional service and quality food. The place keeps getting better and management in amazing and the employees are always extremely kind and respectful.“
