“Love this place and stop in almost daily for a quick sandwich and drink. Rocky is awesome and always does your food up quick! Great for those of us on the run but want something MORE then mcdonalds. He offers some Asian stuff (egg rolls, soup, wontons) plus all kinds of sandwiches.“

“So glad we stopped by for lunch! Ordered 3 sandwiches and fries and WOW they did not disappoint!! The firecracker (owner recommended) was fabulous - tons of flavors happening at various levels (yes with a bit of heat 😉), my classic (with american cheese & onions added) reminded me of the Turkey Bacon Avocado wrap from Quarry coffee, and my husband's Cuban sandwich was spot on even with the adjustments to the bread!

“This review is long overdue, I’ve been going to Mattei’s for a long time now. Their food is outstanding. If you like eggplant this place has the best eggplant I’ve ever had. Not to mention unlike a lot of other places, Mattei’s loads up their sandwiches and gives you PLENTY! The employees are also very polite and happy to help. All of their food is delicious, I highly recommend coming here and trying it.“

“I lived in this area in 2009 and discovered this little gem. I moved back to my home state of Michigan in 2010 but still have my whole family in West Haven, so I still come to town every 3-4 years to visit, and when I do? You best believe i am making a pit stop in here for a pastrami sub. 😋 This is 100% the best deli i have ever been to. The man and woman running it are the sweetest people, they always remember us when I mention we are from Michigan, and the food? Absolutely phenomenal. The steak subs? Delicious. The Italian combo? Large and full of flavor and toppings. However, the pastrami will always have my heart. No where even back in Michigan compares. 100/10. Go support this business. You and your taste buds won't regret it.“

“B&B must stand for “Better & Better!!!” The new ownership, as short as they may be, have really turned the place around. I love the new floor and the Pepperidge farm bread selection. I do think they need to carry alternate Monster™️ flavors. Good pastrami too.“
