“Unfortunately, this is a downgraded rating for this restaurant since we first went there several months ago. First I want to say however, that the service remains excellent and the staff really care. We have been to Morea 5 times since it has opened and tonight we realized that if they really want to be the best and 5 stars, then a few things need to change. 1. There menu is significantly static and really needs to either change or increase the choices on the menu. 2. They need to add more seafood choices. 3. Their dessert menu is not great or imaginative. and 4. They need some surprises on the menu- like wild game, seasonal dishes, or special seasonal delicacies like wild mushrooms or amazing and delicious fish like Pompano. “I’ve been a regular here since Day 1 and I can’t believe I didn’t post a review until NOW!! What can I say, it’s the best seafood in West Haven HANDS DOWN! The oysters are fresh, the lobster rolls are the best, and the mussels for 2 is so flavorful. The staff are like family and welcome you with open arms. For drinks, I recommend the manhattans, old fashioned, espresso martinis and dirty martini with the blue cheese stuffed olives (YUM!). Their Moby’s lager is delicious and there’s a great selection of tequila. The bartenders are the best around! My favorite dishes are the lobster Mac, Lobster Rolls, Tuna Sushimi Oysters, Oysters Rockefeller, and tuna tartare. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with your dining experience! Nick and the crew will take good care of you. I’m a customer for life ❤️“

“We originally had a reservation across the street, but it turned out that they were actually closed so we ended up at Bank Sports Bar and are we ever glad we did! We were looking for a place to stop to get beers and a bite to eat before attending a concert nearby. When we walked in there were more than 65 in the bar and the vibe was exactly what we needed. Quickly we noticed there was one bartender behind the bar - ut oh. Right? Nope. Britt was truly amazing and this place is lucky to have her. We never went without a drink; she was attentive and kind. Turns out there was one person in the kitchen, too - AJ. Our food came out delicious and hot. All of the respect to these two. We hope to be back soon!“

“On the way back to NYC from Foxwoods and decided to stop by Bridgeport for some Vietnamese food. The original Vietnamese restaurant we googled by Bridgeport led us to a location that was closed so we decided to stop by this place since we saw it also served pho among other things. We were very pleased with selecting this place after our initial viet restaurant wasn’t open. The food here is really good!! Kinda hope they can open one in NYC if they haven’t already! If not maybe I’ll make the trip up here again in the near future just for the food.“
