“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I've been to Brewery Legitimus many times throughout the years, and it never disappointed me.

The brewery is spacious enough: the indoor space is separated into two rooms, which makes it easy to have a private event. There is a patio opened during warmer months, as well as several tables near the main entrance (a smaller patio). The place does not serve any food, but the food trucks are usually onsite. Also, the taproom, received an upgrade recently and now you can order cocktails from their bar.

The selection of beers is fine, although it is IPA-heavy. But you can also find several other styles on tap - Marzen, Kolsch, Ales, etc. The place not only serves beer flights of 4, but also sells 6oz drafts, so you can try more beers. I've had almost all the beers they sell during past visits (and refreshed them with new releases during the latest visit). The beers are not frequently rotated, so I only saw 6 new beers compared to my visit several months ago. The beers are always solid. It is safe to order any style and be sure that you will have the best quality. I'm not into IPAs, so from their selection I will definitely recommend their Barrel Aged bottles - Lord Dobson's (Imperial Stout) and Maple Girl (Belgian Tripel). Both of those have an immensely reach barrel taste.

Great tasting home made soups and plenty of pastries, cookies, and donuts for those who have a sweet tooth to satisfy. Another thing I like is they always have fresh coffee available here too. Love the atmosphere as it has that kind of hometown gathering place, comfortable, cozy, but with with that energy of a lively hometown crowd. Food, service, and beer were great. A little on the salty side(feta cheese) but very satisfying. Delicious butter pecan ice cream for dessert from Grass Roots. Service was friendly. “Just a quick meal at a local Chinese restaurant. Although they do have tables for dine-in, most customer took their food on the road. We dined-in but ate off of our trays cafeteria style meal. Food was good. A quickie meal then back to shopping.“

“The Elbow Room is an awesome venue, the food and drinks they have are great and reasonably priced, I'm a big fan of their wings and tacos. I go to the open mic comedy nights on Thursdays, and I throw fun comedy shows/parties in the basement around once a month on Fridays with about 50 people, and everyone always hangs out on the rooftop after now that the weather is warmer. The Elbow Room is a staple of West Hartford and almost everyone knows about it.“

“Wow, just wow! The almond ice cream is seriously one of the best flavors I have ever had. The bubble cone/egg white waffle is heavenly. Not too sweet, just right. Make sure you come hungry though. It's very filling. Cute spot with shopping all around. I was visiting from out of town and stopped here twice. It was seriously that good! Highly recommend!“
