“Had the best time and food! Our first time here and we sat at the bar. Drink special Simple Plan was tasty with a spicy finish so just right! We loved Tuna Tartare. Best tartare ever and we are not kidding. Poached Shrimp Tostada was good too. Spicy Caesar Salad delish to the last bite. We finished with Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée which was well balanced sweet and flavor tasty. We talked with others at the bar about their dishes and those got good reviews too. So we are looking forward to coming back.“

“I’ve now been to Casadoro three times, and this latest visit was hands-down the best yet! This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots for Italian-American comfort food with a fresh twist. Great happy hour.The new bean and garlic dip is an absolute standout—creamy, garlicky, and loaded with herb flavor. Paired with their warm, homemade bread. We also got the Bianca pizza with shallots. The sweet caramelized shallots combined with the creamy base and crispy crust made it incredibly tasty and unique. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Casadoro nails that cozy yet elevated vibe, and the food quality keeps impressing me more each time. Highly recommend for date nights, happy hour hangs, or just a delicious Italian meal. “I used to love coming here pre pandemic! I brought my friend with me from out of town and we were having a GREAT night with the bartender Dustin (who literally was excellent), and at the end of the night it was just my friend, the owner, and I. The conversation was calm and civil and fun and suddenly out of NOWHERE the owner proceeded to verbally assault us, calling us expletives and making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. We decided it was no longer for us and stepped outside, at which point he FOLLOWED US OUTSIDE and alternated between apologizing and cursing at us and begging us to come back inside until we left. I’m glad we didn’t go back inside as his behavior was erratic and potentially dangerous, considering we were two women and he is a much larger man. We were afraid and felt safer walking home (in Hartford that says something) rather than staying put. I’m bummed because I used to like this place, but it’s come to my attention we are certainly not the only women with this experience. Please be careful y’all.“

“I had gone here several years ago and was very disappointed. A friend convinced me to give them another try, so I did! My breakfast sandwich was delicious. I also picked up a chicken salad sandwich for lunch that tasted very fresh. I'm happy to add them to my food choices in town.“

“Cannot say enough good things about The Hollow. Whether you are a golfer or not the restaurant should be added to your regular rotation. The food is top notch, everything on the menu is fantastic. “When I asked at work where I should take my family for some authentic Pho, I was told to hit MECHA. we went today and it was superb! The staff were excellent and everything we got was top tier. The edamame, and mushroom dumplings were awesome appetizers and the Pho was awesome. I had the Pho King with the recommended greens and Thai chilis and it was the best lunch I've had in a long time. The limeade was soooo good. I can't wait to go back!“

“We celebrated Thanksgiving 2025 at Casa Mia. The ambience was lovely. The food offered was a family style four course meal. I ate so many yummy warm rolls, I barely had room for dinner for dinner. The staff had a lot of customers to serve for the seating and the provided outstanding service. The restaurant manager was personally greeting customers and ensuring they were happy with their meals. Keep up the good work!“

We stopped in during Middletown Pride today and not only was the restaurant unique, with a very boricua aesthetic, very much upscale island vibes, with swing seats, cultural decor, but the music was incredible! The drinks were beautiful and delicious, but THE FOOD. Omg. Incredible. They may not have planned for the Pride crowds because our server, Jennifer was handling all the tables, inside and out, but she did it with grace. I will definitely be back!“

I go to the open mic comedy nights on Thursdays, and I throw fun comedy shows/parties in the basement around once a month on Fridays with about 50 people, and everyone always hangs out on the rooftop after now that the weather is warmer. The Elbow Room is a staple of West Hartford and almost everyone knows about it.“
