“I’ve been a fan and customer of Villarina’s Southbury for many years for far too many reasons to list ... but the most important one is the owners who are family and treat everyone like family!❤️ This is a quick review to say YUMMMM!!! Before the “stay at home” order went into effect, I stocked up on their frozen dinners and lots of pasta sauce. Always love having these in our house and especially so now. We recently tried the frozen linguine w/white clam sauce I had picked up. It was our first time for this dinner and WOW! It was fabulous. My husband says it’s the best he’s ever had. It’s not something I typically eat but loved it. We’ll add it to our list of things to pick-up. Thanks as always!!!“

“The experience at Nouveau Monde was fantastic. We've eaten there many times, but last night I thought was exceptional. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was perfect. They have added a shortened wine list to their menu, but if you're real adventurous, you can flip through the enormous wine list that is viewed on a tablet. I went the easier route this time, got a bottle off the menu and was absolutely pleased with it.“

“Outstanding restaurant! (and we do a lot of our dining in NYC!) Local 63 is an oasis in Watertown, CT in a variety of ways. The food is creative (even when the dish SOUNDS traditional). The chicken fried steak (hard to even find in New England) is outstanding. The salads were awesome: perfectly dressed with great crunch and freshness. The Cassoulet (originally a French farmhouse dish) with chicken, in-house sausage, and white beans cooked to perfection is something you will not find in many other places. Great bar--friendly atmosphere and great for large groups and celebrations. This is a hidden gem with excellent service and owners who obviously care! I will go back and bring many other guests here when I have a chance.“

“Had a great lunch today at Lebnani in Watertown, CT. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The beef shawarma and hummus were spot on, and you can really tell everything is made with care. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Definitely one of those spots you’ll want to go back to. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a great meal.“

“We had the pleasure of dining here for the first time this evening! WOW! How have we not tried this restaurant until now?!! Exceptional dining experience! Started with smoked wings and the shishito peppers, which were out of this world good! Fish and chips with fries done in duck fat, Mac n cheese with short rib was soooo good with the Gouda cheese! Julia was an amazing server! It is difficult to find even a good dining experience these days…we would rate this one as exceptional!“

“Tried Pizzaro’s Pizzeria for the first time. My wife and I shared a large antipasta salad and a large cheese pizza with garlic, half pepperoni and half broccoli. Everything was great. While this is more a takeout place they have large booths and the service was excellent. The salad was awesome and so large we took 1/4 of it home. The pizza was excellent. Thin crust with a delicious sauce. I’m not a fan of the outer crust but this was so good I ate everything. I highly recommend their pizza. We have to go back and try their subs and meals as I witnessed many people getting these and pizza for takeout. I give it five stars. We will be back.“

“Used to go here all the time; over the years, got away. Had guests coming in from Portugal. Ordered sausage and mushrooms, route 67 and hawaiian pies. Fabulous! Outstanding. Company debated which pie was the best and there was no clear cut favorite. This family has been tremendous serving Oxford for years. We will not go anywhere else again. This is our go to pizza restaurant.“

“Beer is good but we are saddened that they will no longer have the card purchase for $50 for 11 beers. It was a good value. This may deter us from coming. If it is not working for black hog maybe raise price of card a little? We love the beer but beer is becoming expensive at all of the breweries. “Reverie continues to be a top contender for our favorite craft brewery in CT. Today was another great visit…the 5th anniversary of Reverie’s existence. The live music was great, the beer was great, the souvenir pub glasses were great, the staff is always great, and our group of 8 had a great time! “jimmys food is excellent! however I was there for the 1st time last week, our waitress was not friendly with us. no personality, no smile..brought our food put it down walked away, said nothing. then 5 mins later, as she was walking by the table threw the receipt down, said nothing. Never came to see if we needed anything else or how the food was, she never offered desert, so we didn't get that. I had to go to the counter and ask for a box, as again she never came back to the table. there were only a few tables full, so she wasn't overly busy, meanwhile I'm watching the other waitress there, smile and laugh with her customers. I wish I knew her name, because she definitely needs to learn people skills. ohh I also heard her complaining to a customer who she must've known, about her training someone and now the other girl is waiting tables and she was not happy that this girl was doing her job basically 🙄“

“We visited Walker Road Vineyards today after seeing the sign while driving through the countryside and we cannot recommend it enough. The scenery was beautiful. The barn gave it a rustic feel and the wine was delicious. My husband and I had the rose and it was superb. Also the owners were incredibly kind and took the time to talk to us about the history of the vineyard and they walked around talking to other people too. What really made it special was them taking the time to talk to my kids and make them feel important! Let’s keep small businesses like this alive. We will definitely be going back in the future!“

“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I tried beers from Lasting Brass at bars before, but this was my first visit to the brewery.

The brewery occupies a separate building near a picturesque area with a river. It has 2 separated outdoor patios and a small area indoors. No food is served inside, but food trucks might are onsite occasionally.

I already had several favorite beers from Lasting Brass, because they were not shy to experiment with flavors. So this time I tried all beers they had on tap. Luckily, there is an option to order a small pour. I have to say, that some beers really impressed me. All the beers I tried were solid, crushable and tasty. But the special place in my heart is reserved to their flagship beers - Java Bloom (Imperial Stout) and Contusion (Sour IPA). These 2 were really bursting with flavor, that was complex and layered. On top of the beers, I thoroughly enjoyed the community in this place. It was filled with regulars, everyone knew each other and it was just a really cozy and friendly environment.

I do recommend this brewery to everyone and it is worth a dedicated trip.“

They were able to get a party of 30 moved and setup in that time they chose an amazing spread of food for us so I could relax and just worry about the party itself and activities for the kids. We had Jamie as our server and the party went perfectly. My son said it was the best day ever. It was an amazing experience and perfect day.“
