“*update: Bar Experience. The bar was very well equipped, the bartender ( Alex) was very attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. Carlos made sure everyone was tended and had what they needed. Great teamwork behind the bar. The food Experience at the bar matched that of the dining room experience. The bar and restaurant was busy but Alex, Carlos and all of the staff hustled and the food was hot, tasted wonderful and of course left me wanting desert. If you have not visited this establishment, you are missing out. Everything from their service, their extensive drink menu, their delicious "tapas", their creative specials, their daily menu to their tray of deserts is an experience. Come on by, I promise you will not be disappointed. Check out the updated Bar Experience pictures. A hidden Gem in downtown Southington. This is our second visit here and we are absolutely in love with this restaurant. From its eclectic decor, super attentive staff to its fabulously fantastic tasting tapas and entrees....where do I truly begin. The owners ( Rob, is always stopping by to say hello and check in) are visible and make you feel welcomed, my waitress Alyssa was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious. The pictures below do no justice to the flavors that pop as you are eating them. You can't wait to come back. Oh I almost forgot....the drinks....the best Sangrias!!!! Yes! Sangrias...Sangrias!! You must stop by.”

Little do you know, I ordered this meal for my mom who spent the entire day in the hospital with my grandma. “First time ever dining at Tuscany, but not my last! What a treasure! I had the beast veal Franchise ever! I ate the whole thing! The bread was crusty on the outside and soft inside and the salad was fresh and cold. The service was fantastic—the owners/chef came out to meet us.”

“I've learned, when you order something new when you're out always ask about flavors of item, seasonings, etc. The street corn for instance should have nothing on it. Was too greasy. The brussel sprouts would have been fine just roasted. Asked about the sauce it was cooked with after I tried them. Doesn't need sauce, again made it greasy and the taste for me personally too sweet. Ate 4 pieces and pushed it aside. Later upset my stomach. NY strip was good but price points are high and honestly should be a thicker cut. Basically overall restaurant could save money 💰 by eliminating sauces, imitation butter, etc. I know this is a national chain but large corporations don't get it.... keep it simple...”

“Last week my family and i had dinner at Flair which is one of our favorite restaurants and Hector the owner told us his family bought Fratellis. We said we would come in this week snd try out the new restaurant. We had told Hector the we loved clams casino and he remembered and even though they were not on the menu he brought some to us from Flair. They were excellent. We also had the best chicken dish ever which was called chicken fratellis. It was very obvious that Hector and his family bent over backwards to ensure our experience was amazing and.......it was. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a fabulous meal and feel that you are appreciated. Thank again”

“Just had our first meal here. The entire restaurant is filthy. Our dishes that held our silverware were reused. Our table was dirty To where we washed it with our drinking water. We were ready to leave but had put in our order and wanted to try food. The food Was decent but pricey for amount you got. Called manager over to show him how thick the dust was on ledge where everyone sits And eats. He said he was new. Not an excuse. Restaurant was empty now I know why. The whole place smells dirty as soon as you sit down and have to breathe in one spot. This restaurant will not last if things don't Change. It will be a repeat of Chips restaurant all over again.”

“I literally love coming here but lately it’s been disappointing since they seem to never have my crème brûlée boba tea. I’ve been here three times in the last month and they always say we didn’t make it. Why keep it on the menu if I can never have it and I walk out with no boba. Please bring it back!! Thank you”

“A remarkably good restaurant, great food and presentation, excellent service. Went with friends who are well-travelled and they loved it. Enjoyed the paella, salmon, rib eye steak, and at the delicious radish and fruit salad. I have always been impressed by the food and the experience. Will definitely come again.”

“We were nervous because of the reviews about service but we loved it! The food was delicious and our server was so nice. She was really busy but had a smile on her face through it all. One thing I will say is the host, didn’t smile at all and even walked guests to a table talking on her cell phone. Didn’t help the server run food all while she was drowning either. Would absolutely come back regardless!”

“The food is good and the atmosphere is really cool. Depends what theme you're seeing, but definitely fun and a cool experience. The dry ice drinks for Wicked were tasty. For me, the best part was our waitress, Kenya. You can tell the staff is under pressure to keep everything moving, but Kenya kept a smile on her face and was so kind and warm the entire time. She chatted with us even when she clearly had a lot of other tables and made us feel special. Great time overall. Make sure to check out the rooftop bar!”

The service was amazing, the gentleman behind the counter was one of the nicest I’ve come across. He was prompt and attentive and kept a smile on. “Tried the frozen Mac n cheese and it was absolutely delish! My son who is very picky had three helpings. Probably the best we’ve had. We miss the seafood newburg. We were told it was not a good seller. It is a must try if they put it out again. You don’t know what you are missing. The flavors are unbelievable!”

“Me and My friend Pauly and his girlfriend went here from the rails trails and I got a awesome ice cream Cookie Monster and we got waters and my friend got shakes, and I saw a yeti with a beanie hat in the claw machine so I went over and split my 5 dollar bill into singles dollars to try and win in the claw machine and I couldn't get the yeti but then pauly girlfriend tried it and she won 3 things in the claw machine”

When you order a vegetable in a hot jalapeno cream spread, they should label what is hot and which one is vegetable? That's the only problem I have.. I definitely recommend their food to anyone.”

One of us had falafel hummus mediterranean wrap w fries (12), another a a falafel gyro pita sandwich (18) and third same as first minus fries (8). We also got warm pita and hummus before entrees. We'll return.”

“This place, they always say it’s the small places that shock you, well I’m shocked. $6 all day Sunday game day wings, pretzels, nachos, sliders. HOT OIL PIZZA! The menu is outstanding. The staff is A+++ and the owner is pleasant and present. I’ll be back, this place is a 10!!!. What a hidden gem!”

“Had a great meal here for the whole family, and the owner came by and joked with the kids... husband had burnt ends, brisket, ribs, etc. He loved the smoky flavor of the meat and that not all of the flavor came from the sauce. nice to find a BBQ restaurant with a veggie option, thank you!”

“Great new brewery in town. I didn’t know Transcend existed until I stumbled upon it on a web search. The space is really cool. Came here on my Bday and they have beers like IPA’s, lagers, and fruit beers. Would be a great spot for a party rental (there’s an additional large room for that). I didn't try their food but I hear good things about their pizza, wings, and sandwiches. Also family friendly with a kids menu and some games to use. Outdoor patio too. Recommended.”

“Good service with very attentive waitresses. Food is delicious and cooked perfectly. They do have size options for the pancakes so if you are not into giant pancakes you can downsize. Atmosphere is comfortable but not overwhelming. The price is a nice plus to coming here, even though they only accept cash, but that keeps their prices down.”

“So I’ve been going there with my family for years now. There is never been a time not once that the food was not phenomenal the attention to detail On even a simple sandwich is done very well. The lobster grilled cheese is amazing. Their breakfast burger was amazing. They’re baked goods are delicious. I’ll continue to go there and enjoy it. It truly is a great place with delicious food, compliments to the owner and the chef.”

“I recently hosted my son’s 1st birthday party of over 100 guests at Hawks Landing. Jeff & Paul were absolutely amazing to work with. I work with a lot of different venues all over Connecticut with my event planning business and this place is truly next level. The attention to detail and the way the entire staff works together to really give you everything you envision is hard to come by. Paul and I designed the entire event menu from scratch. Anything I asked for, he made happen! My biggest concern was that I didn’t want guests waiting too long for food but I also didn’t want a sit down meal. Paul suggested we do multiple food stations around the space so nobody was waiting. He also had his staff start with passed appetizers while everyone was mingling. It worked out PERFECTLY. My theme was “Jack’s 1st rodeo.” Paul even offered to request that his staff wear jeans and a flannel shirt to match my vibe. Every single member of the Hawks team had such a hand in perfecting the day. My guests are still raving about the food and experience more than a month later. They really made the day so special and I couldn’t be more grateful to Jeff, Paul and the entire Hawks team! ♥️”

Tonight the man working was helping a woman before us, she waited until the last second to complain about how the worker made her sandwich and she said “Your manager will be hearing from me” when he said “do you want me to remake it?” she said “no. let me pay so I can leave.”The man working tonight at this store on 5/23/24 was very kind to us, was attentive and made our sandwiches perfectly. He did not deserve to be treated like this by the previous customer. I hope he does not get reprimanded for it. Thank you!”

“Our order: 1st plate: sausage & 2 eggs toast & 1 pancake 2nd plate: omelette with green peppers; tomateo & cheese ( no toast or meat) 1 pancake ---1 cup of coffee each!! COST: $33.34! Outrageous! The young waitress forgot to put in for 1 pancake as partner requested a little late but she completely forgot altogether & then told us it was almost done, should have admitted dde forgot to put in for it! Then she never came back to get us a 2nd cup of coffee. Busy at times but it only takes 10 seconds to pour coffee & the mugs are extremely small! Seems she catered to larger tables (bigger tips)! Way too expensive for the poor service. Prices on menu online are not updated”

“I stopped in with my fiancé today. He got a sandwich and I ordered the fresh fruit salad and mozzarella tomato salad. I went to my car and opened both containers and the fresh fruit salad had gone bad. I took it in and the team was absolutely excellent at exchanging it. They smelled the salad and agreed with me something unfortunately went bad in the salad. They exchanged it out for something different and I went about my day. 10/10 recommend. They have awesome customer service and they were super apologetic!”

“What an amazing experience!! The cascading waterfalls, scenic walkways, and covered bridges shaded by gorgeous Japanese Maple trees is such a zen mini golf experience. They have something for the whole family including a wooden train and wooden ship play area. There is a beer garden if you want to stop for a cold brew, food, and Italian Ice and ice cream. We had such a great day!”

“Since I first moved to Southington in 2004, this has been a favorite spot of mine! The cuisine is consistently delicious and expertly prepared! I adore the coleslaw, deviled eggs, and ribs. That's all I ever receive, so to be honest, I can't say much more about it. I hope to return soon and was happy to return!”
