“I had such a wonderful experience today, at this charming bakery! First of all, Yumi and Chloe served me; I walked in from NYC ten minutes before they closed for the day (at 2:50 PM), and they were still kind, polite and courteous. Wow! They welcomed me as though I'd walked in two hours earlier, and that's a rare find in this inpatient day and age! : ) Thanks, ladies! I ordered a hot chocolate with dairy milk and a chai latte with non-dairy milk (oat milk), and both were terrific. The chai was a little sweet for my taste, but it's all good. : ) I also ordered the flourless chocolate cake and a plum tart. Both of these desserts were yummy! My spouse and I shared our treats outdoors, on the lawn of the local library - which is just down the street from the bakery - and it made for a lovely afternoon. “We ordered trays of pastries for the luncheon following my grandmother’s funeral this past year. One of her favorite pastries was sfogliatelle, and we were pleased to not only see that Del Pete had them available but also that they were so good! My grandmother would have been so proud. I highly recommend this bakery.“

“Traveling in the area for a family visit we had heard of this gem bakery and did our best to get there before closing on a Saturday. We selected a sample of the items the owner had left. A few donuts, 2 cookies and 2 meat pies. All are made with such pride and are delicious!! The uniqueness of the donuts can’t be explained .. must be sampled. The chocolate chip giant cookie is heavenly.. and the chicken Parm meat pie is today’s lunch. I’d highly recommend this woman owned bakery. She is remarkable and very customer service focused. “Now, I never ever write reviews, as I’m just an easy-going, genuine girl who will say whatever she feels best in person, but after taking a single sip of my ‘Iced Peeps Latte’ made by the name ‘Emily’ on my receipt, or whoever the absolute sweetheart is working at 6:40 PM on 03/21/24, I could not go without writing this and making sure she gets her due credit. I have been a loyal customer to Plasko’s for as long as I can remember, having grown up right around the corner from here in Stratford, CT, and come in just about on a weekly basis now, and this coffee I just received is hands-down the best one I’ve ever tasted in my life. I’m the biggest coffee lover I know, and I just need my fellow customers and the admirable staff to know here that this amazing human being went above and beyond in her customer service skills, made me feel so welcomed and seen right away, took my order with care and letted me know that this was her first time making this seasonal drink yet as it just dropped on their menu today, and I just have to say they absolutely made it to pure perfection. “Really good coffee. They rotate the beans they use so sometimes so sometimes it tastes different but they roast beans in house and it makes for some of the best coffee in town. Their breakfast sandwich is also great, with crispy bacon and eggs that aren't over or under-dome, and the best part is the pretzel style bun they put it on. 5/5 favorite breakfast sandwich.“

I spoke with Sky, who took some some details and told me to expect a call later that day to go over details and pricing more in depth. Since I had actually never had anything from the bakery before and was placing an order based on reviews, Sky gave me two complimentary cupcakes to try them out. I chose red velvet and carrot cake and both were delicious. My daughter's cake (theme "Wild One") turned out exactly as I had envisioned and all the adult guests kept asking where the cake was from and complimenting the design. The top tier was red velvet and the bottom layer was vanilla with buttercream and it looked just like the inspiration photo I provided via email. I wouldn't hesitate to order from here again for all special occasions in the future.“

“I recently signed up for Pierluigis Sourdough Bread making class at the Fatto an Mano Bakery in Westport, CT and it was a 5 star experience all the way. I felt it was taught in an organized way so that home bakers could feel educated and empowered to make beautiful artisanal bread at home. We learned all the different stages of making sourdough and we were able to get our hands on some dough and learn the techniques from the master himself. He is a gentleman!! 10/10 highly recommend!!!“

“Boutique empanada shop, nicely decorated in a small, cafeteria-type setting. Very good empanadas including two outstanding sauces. Coffee is excellent and service is fast, with a smile. The empanada was tasty but light on the filling. Elephant ear pastry was fresh baked and as good as I've had. There are about six tables to dine in, or take out.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, mainly empanadas and pastries.Parking: Free street parking right outside, can be a bit more difficult during busy times of the day/week.“

“Had a wonderful Saturday brunch here. After we ordered and grabbed a table, I noticed the salads on the table next to ours had wheat croutons. When our food came, my boyfriend's brioche was wheat, as was my sourdough toast. It was unexpected but everything was absolutely delicious. The breads we had did not taste like normal wheat to me - they lacked the heavy, earthy mouthfeel that wheat usually has. The portions were generous and everything tasted super fresh. The house made sausage was perfectly greasy with whole peppercorns embedded in the meat. The hash brown was dense and buttery. The char on the asparagus was beautiful. I read their website after brunch, and saw they only use non-commercially milled wheats and heritage grains. That explains why the baked goods were so good. We took home a chocolate croissant and a strawberry rhubarb pie and they were both divine. I was surprised at how good the wheat tasted, especially the croissant which was light and airy. I didn't know wheat could taste so good! Will definitely return to this cute little spot. Parking is limited which is the only downside.“

“My favorite bagel spot. Bagels are made correct and daily. The absolute best egg sandwiches! I always get an egg bagel toasted with butter with bacon and egg white . They will make you them however you want and they are absolutely worth every penny! Nothing bad to say about this place.WORTH STOPPING IN FOR BREAKFAST.HIGHLY RECOMENDED!Parking during early morning rush can be hard just keep that in mind .“

The space is beautiful and inviting, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy their endless supply of delicious baked goods, sandwiches, coffee, etc.. Forty-five possible varieties with some unusual ones like Banana Cream Pie, Blueberry Cheesecake, Peanut Butter & Jelly, and Sweet Potato S'mores. We picked up a Chocolate Chip (Brown sugar cookie mixed with dark chocolate chips) and the love child of a brownie and a cookie called a "Brookie" (Brown sugar cookie mixed with dark chocolate chips swirled with a fudgy brownie base) for $4.75 each. Now, what does a $4.75 get you? Well, quite a bit - they were 4 inches across and an inch thick. A teense over six ounces in weight. And speaking of weight, according to their website, each cookie contains 4 servings at 170 calories per serving. So, in other words, each cookie contained 680 calories (in case you're keeping score at home). We each rationed out a quarter of the chocolate chip cookie last night, and the portion size was surprisingly decent. And it was delicious! Our server Jonathan, was super friendly, had a great personality, and was a pleasure to chat with. Chip City has 31 locations spread across CT, FL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, and VA.“
