“This place by far is the best burger joint in the Valley. Easily. My favorite is the cutlet sandwich, my mother in law swears by the fried seafood platter, my husband loves the bacon cheeseburgers. We all love the chili dogs and their fries. If you’re a morning person, their bacon egg and cheese is the best I’ve ever had. Plus, Pricila and Sam are so incredibly nice. Highly recommend.”

“My husband surprised me with a dinner gathering at Red Lotus. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by two staff members and the owner Larry. Gary was our server who I must say was by far the best server we have ever had. Gary and Larry truly made us feel like we were the only ones there (they had a full house) the food was delicious we were a party of 8 and all had different plates none of us were disappointed with our food. The presentation of the plates were beautiful! Larry made sure to come to our table and assure we were satisfied with our food and service took time out to talk with us and build a relationship. Thank you Red Lotus from an amazing experience and phenomenal customer service.”

“This was such an adorable place. It felt like a local spot found in the Hallmark movies. Recently had brunch with my daughter at The Sandy Hook Café. It was an absolute delight from start to finish. Nestled in the heart of Sandy Hook, CT this cafe exudes a cozy yet vibrant charm, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch. We chose the booth by the front window box that was sweetly decorated for the holiday. There were couple other booths, a high-top table, and several two/four-top tables. Tiny space but a gigantic, interesting menu. Good for takeout as well. There is a small outdoor seating area overlooking the river. We were greeted by Ralph, the owner/chef. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. He proudly described all of the interesting specials (his own creations) and it was difficult to decide as they all sounded simply wonderful. We went with the blackened eggs benedict with salmon special, and the breakfast burrito. All fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. It’s an inviting space where you can linger over your meal without a care in the world. Sandy Hook Café is a hidden gem that’s worth every penny. I will definitely be becoming a regular.”

“Absolutely phenomenal shop! Not sure what to rave about first: the food, the taste, the owners… All outstanding. I made a trip over an hour long to come for their pumpkin French toast bagel. It didn’t live up to the hype in my head; it far exceeded it! And toasted paired with maple brown sugar cream cheese was an out of body experience. Meeting the owners, even briefly, they are fantastic people who are extremely personable, thoughtful, and dedicated beyond belief. The shop is super cute inside and with place to sit and enjoy. Absolutely will be a regular stop from now on, whether on or out of the way.”

Food was amazing, wait staff was attentive and friendly and even helped bring all the presents out to the car. The room looked elegant and was set up perfectly for our party size. Everyone raved about the food and service. Jaime was so accommodating and easy going. He makes you feel like family. I highly recommend Ritrovo's for their food or if you are looking to have an event at a restaurant!”

“We visited this restaurant hoping to see Nigel, a waiter we knew from other restaurants and who had always provided excellent service. Unfortunately, he wasn't there, and our experience was extremely disappointing. Our server was the complete opposite of what we had expected: he was rude, inattentive, and seemed to have little interest in taking care of his table. The food was another disappointment. The meat itself was good quality, but it was so heavily salted that it ruined the dish. The fries were just salty and hard. And we are not talking about the bill....”
