“Very great dinner for my boyfriend and I. Attentive and professional service by Emily , classy atmosphere and fantastic food. We tried both the New England and RI chowder and it was delicious. Warm and filling, we prefer the New England. We got the Rockefeller from reviews and didn’t realize it was baked, very good but will just stick to the Raw Bar when we come back. If you like baked oysters I definitely recommend. Absolutely loved their Sixpenny oysters. Will be back.“

“I frequently visit the Helmsman Kitchen & Bar and I have always enjoyed there food, and atmosphere. Yuleika our Bartender was amazing as usual , her energy is always very upbeat and on point and the service is impeccable . Definitely a must visit when you’re in the Mystic / Groton area .“

“Black point pizza is always my go to when I want an absolutely amazing pizza. for me I have the cooks keep it in the oven a bit longer so it stands up when you pick it up to eat. the sauce is to die for also. if you like your pizza a little more firm just ask and the cooks are happy to make your food exactly as you like. minor the owner is a stand up guy and really did good with this recipe. the salads and his homemade balsamic dressing is the best I've had from anywhere. if you have not come out to black point you are really missing out. “01.26.25- 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' - Little Galapagos Restaurant ❤️ City of New London ❤️ I dropped into The Little Galapagos Restaurant this evening to review a couple of their popular menu items which were Chicken Wings, Thai Chilli Sauce followed by Carne Asada Ecuadorians Style meal that was actually really Dope ❤️ however the Chicken wings were not great at all so they earned a Thumbs 👎🏾 The atmosphere and service was really dope there and I am sure that had I ordered anything else on the menu besides the Wings would have been just as good as the Carne Asada. “I went there a few months ago and got a steak, I want to say it was the strip steak. It was cooked to perfection and the side was perfect as well. I went last night and got the wings, they were supposed to be maple sriracha? I tasted neither. The dip wasn't all that great just overall flat meal, and the wings were rubbery I like them crispy which is my fault I probably should have asked for them crispy? Not terrible but could have been great.“

“Smokey O'Grady's is a bar where the locals hang out, so you may feel like you're back in high school. If this is your first time here, don't expect the same service as a local. The food options are nice since they have a big menu. Drink options are endless here. Food and drink prices are reasonable. Our waiter was the bartender as well. This man deserves a good raise.“

“Awesome place. We were in town for a USCGA event and stumbled upon this excellent, fun place.
The food was amazing, our waitress, Aria, was fantastic, and the two IPAs I tried were great.
I am kinda unique amongst IPA guys in that I despise hazies, so I was thrilled to find two nice and happy westies.
The one thing I found a bit puzzling was there were no TVs.
We will be up in the area quite a bit, and I am looking for a place to watch the NFL!“
