“Last evening I had what is possibly the best meal I’ve ever had in our area of SE Connecticut. We had the Tasting for Two at Whitecrest Eatery - Pork Schnitzel with Buttered Peas, Roasted Root Vegetables, and Lingonberry Compote. Absolutely everything was fresh, including the meat. The Schnitzel was light as a feather, the coating crisp, and the pork juicy and clean tasting. The peas were so delicious, I could have eaten a whole pot of them. I didn’t know food could taste this marvelous! Service was great, even the music playlist was fabulous! The dessert, Lemon Ice Cream with a raspberry reduction and crumbled cookie, was, again, light and refreshing, obviously fresh made. It was what I imagine dinner in heaven would be like.“

“Stephanie one of the owners is so charming and creates such a friendly atmosphere here. You can feel the buzz when you come in. My Stonington fluke was a stomach shot back my days living in this delightful village. And friends loved their tuna. Yummy. Keep it going guys. You do a great job.“

“Normally we have good luck here, but not tonight! Sat at the bar, ordered a chicken ceaser salad with extra hot chicken(thinking I would get at least warm chicken). Nope cold chicken. We had a woman who I've never had before ask what kind of dressing I wanted on my caesar salad. At that point I knew I was in trouble.We got our food, I did not eat any of it due to the COLD chicken, woman never came back to check on us, never realized I ate none of it. Asked for boxes and still said nothing. Unbelievable.“

“It's absolutely one of the best breakfast stops we've ever made. The staff was so friendly and they were kind enough to find us a spot. I recommend reservations for this spot. It's extremely small and very busy, but it's quaint and cozy. The food was to die for. I don't know what they put on the homefries, but they were delicious. The blueberry pancakes are a must try if you stop. I'm definitely going again with reservations.“

“It's a really nice environment to be in. If you're like me and prefer less crowded restaurants, go for dinner as late as possible. We went at 7pm, and it was the ONLY time I've seen empty seats there. I'm just not a fan of packed places. The food is amazing, and I love looking into the kitchen to see what the cooks are preparing. Thank you for a great time, each time!Parking: There's a parking lot in the rear of the building; super convenient. There's also street parking towards the front of the building as well.“

“Many restaurants will charge high prices to create an aura of quality and fine dining, only to disappoint when it comes down to eating. Shipwright's Daughter is not that place. The prices are on the high side but wow, do they deliver. Four adults, four very different entrees and everyone left with all smiles. My beef strip loin was cooked perfectly and everything that accompanied it was tasty. Some signature cocktails were discounted for the 5 - 6 pm happy hour and were, again, delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive without overtaking the conversation. If your taste buds deserve a holiday this place is worth a visit.“

“I visited Nashville, TN last year with friends, and have been trying to find a similar spicy chicken sandwich. I stopped by the Tin Peddler in North Stonington after work for takeout and decided to try the "Nashville Chicken", with tangy slaw, pickles, kewpie mayo, and a homemade bun. It was everything I could have imagined in the first bite. Spicy and delicious! The fries were an added bonus. Looking forward to going back with friends to try more items on the menu.“

I've been with my wife for a few special occasions but have also photographed a wedding celebration here.Chef Renee and company know what they are doing. If you're anything like me, you'll love the uniqueness of everything Oyster Club has to offer, from the the dishes to The Treehouse. This is New England fine dining at its best.If you're in the area (and even if you're not; just make a reservation and plan a drive), you have to stop for a meal at Oyster Club!“

“Have been here many times and mostly wonderful experiences. But most recent visit left a bitter taste in my mouth with the manager/hostess being extremely rude to my party. The phrase "this isn't that kind of place" when asking if possible to turn a 4 top into a 5 top. Wait staff and food was excellent.“

“This place has it all! Atmosphere, view, and exquisite food. Check it out if you're in the area and make a special trip if you aren't. Owl & Dove is a special spot.We're vegan and they had several vegan dishes on the menu, with others that could easily be made vegan. All the non-vegan dishes coming out of the kitchen also looked amazing! They've got something for everybody at Owl & Dove.Dietary restrictions: We are vegan and they had vegan options right on the menu, along with several other dishes that could easily be made vegan. “So much fun even if you are a terrible bowler. Went with a group for a fundraiser. Pitchers of beer, mixed drinks, and food available at the lanes. Great for parties. Connected sports bar with bar food and tons of tvs to watch any sport you wish. Enjoyed the nachos and quesadillas. Fun time!!“

“I have gone to Sam's shack for years ...always enjoyed the sun and the parking attendant was always a hoot. We have since became friends. They have a wonderful lifeguard on duty at all times throughout the week. Good food at the shack . Breakfast and lunch or snacks ?. Plenty of parking also $20Parking: Very good parking area. “Horrible quality of food! Barely any flavor n maybe 4 mushrooms on burger 2 small slices of bacon n one slice of cheese .20$ on a burger n fries! I'm so disappointed! I'll go to McDonald's or burger King n get more of a burger than here!“

“We had an awesome experience we met the new manager Lindsay, She was so friendly and welcoming. We loved our food. My friend got boneless chicken breast wrapped in lettuce, I got the buffalo chicken sandwich And we got truffle fries on the side. They also sell fair trade certified Maine root. Certified organic root beer. We will definitely come back and try this again. We are coming from Massachusettes. I get five stars for everything. Also I wanted to add the place is so clean and the girl cooking in the back Nelly looks like she actually likes her job ?“

“My husband and I arrived on Thursday. We asked the Hostess, (Andrea) if we could make a reservation for Friday night at 8pm. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make them with her. But, Andrea was a real help and informed us to go online. She promised she'd be there on Friday night. True to her word, Andrea was there. She remembered us and was a real joy! I wish all employees were as pleasant and easy going as Andrea! Foxwoods HighRollersLuxuryLanes is so lucky to her!!! This is a great place!“

“We love going to the Mystic seaport and this was a great pub! The food was terrific and the beer was great. You order inside of the counter and they bring it to your table outside. They also have indoor seating. Would recommend if you are going to see the historic village.Kid-friendliness: Great for the kids because you sit outside.“
