“Came across this place on a neighborhood walk and I could not be more happier! The food is so delicious and authentically Dominican. From the Tres Golpes to their fresh jugo de Maracuya, this cozy little marketplace is the best. Their staff treats you like family the minute you walk in the door :)“

“We hadn't been here since in changed names/owners a few years ago. Four diners ordering 4 completely different meals - it was hard to choose which one we liked best. Starting with the street corn dip and poached pear; both were a hit, but the party was divided on whether or not they would have liked the pear served warm (it was served cold) and filled with honey mascarpone and lots of pistachios. We moved onto the main courses of chicken cutlet with mashed potatoes; steak with truffle fries; orecchiette with broccoli and sausage; hamburger with fries. Everything was cooked to perfection (steak medium rare, chicken crispy and not at all dry, burger medium with just a hint of pink in the center.) The drinks were creative (did not skimp on the alcohol!) and plentiful, refilled quickly by our attentive server. Desserts as always tend to make or break a meal; these desserts did not disappoint. Banana tres leches cake, Amaretto crème brulee and the special cookie and ice cream combination along with coffee and digestif. A special treat for the evening - Live entertainment in the bar area. Not too loud, we could still have dining room conversation over the music, but found ourselves singing along to most of the tunes. There is definitely something here for everyone!“

You can dine in but most staff don’t speak English (Spanish only) which wasn’t my case. They had a soccer match playing on screen which was entertaining but a bit too loud“

“This is my first time trying Columbian food and I am hooked!!!!! The AL Pastor Columbian style Arepas is by far one of the most delicious things I have had in a long time. The cornbread base was sweet without being cloying and mixed with the pork and pineapple, OH MY GOD! My dish came with a side of some of the most flavorful rice I have ever had and it was topped with some sweet plantains. The serving is more than generous. I'm a big girl and I am easily getting 2 meals out of my order. The prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and find this hidden gem while you are in town. You will not be disappointed!“

“It was so nice out that we sat outside. The 3 of us shared our food. Enjoyed everything we had. The shrimp tacos were all we talked about. The margaritas were delicious. The service… very friendly but also a little slow. We sat with empty glasses for a bit. Had to call her over to get another. We will definitely be back though

Parking: Unfortunately there’s only street parking so there aren’t a lot of spots. It’s across for the Salvation Army so maybe you can park there. But then you would have to cross Dixwell Ave“

“Grabbed lunch here, and got chicken, rice and beans. Food was delicious! I don’t speak Spanish, but between the girls behind counter and one of the customer’s help we figured out what I wanted! Got a lot of delicious food for not a lot of money. I’ll be back.“

I also, happen to catch a couple of event nights there that were really enjoyable. One, displayed a artists paintings, and the other was an open mic night, anyone was welcome.
