“I am a New Haven style pizza purest. Although Colchester Pizza is not that style, it is amongst the best pizzas I have had. Certainly the best in town. “Omg! I needed a soup and the soup of the day was barley and beef! Unbelievable! Full of chunks of tender beef, vegetables and barley cooked down to perfection. One could order a bowl of that and make it a full meal. I had already ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a glass of Mediterranean red they had on the special little table menu. Perfect pairing! I will definitely be back. So glad I discovered this place. The chef knows how to cook. Now I understand why the parking lot was packed. The wait staff is so unbelievably friendly, too. Have only eaten in the dining room a few times over the years. The service is great. You come in and usually get a slice of pizza, but that didn't happen today. I had baked potatoe pizza slice, and my son had a vegetable grinder. If you sit up front, you don't get waitstaff as often, but the girl was pleasant and asked if we needed anything else. I like the crust on this pizza. Crust is very important to me on a pizza. Haven't really had any bad experiences here. Always been yummy.“

All the staff, from the bartenders (shout to Zeke and Ethan!) to the servers to the kitchen chefs, are all great people that bring amazing energy. The food, in my humble opinion, is delicious. And the gelato is some of the best I've ever had (I grew up 30 minutes from Philly, so I know good gelato when I taste it). I won't say the "bad" reviews have no merit, but my personal experience, after coming here for a little over a year, had been nothing if not great. If you're in the area as a student, visiting family, etc., do yourself a favor and check it out. Square Peg Storrs is one of THE BEST spots for food, drinks, and fun in the area.“
