I just love coming to a restaurant that has stood the test and has not changed it's values or it's awesome flavorful menu. The staff very pleasant and always ready to help at anytime. “Omg! I needed a soup and the soup of the day was barley and beef! Unbelievable! Full of chunks of tender beef, vegetables and barley cooked down to perfection. One could order a bowl of that and make it a full meal. I had already ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a glass of Mediterranean red they had on the special little table menu. Perfect pairing! I will definitely be back. So glad I discovered this place. The chef knows how to cook. Now I understand why the parking lot was packed. The wait staff is so unbelievably friendly, too. “This is the store I order from on a average 3-4 times a week, my order is mostly always the same however tonight I placed a order for my kid and husband and I thought I ordered it correctly but this time I actually didn’t! I forgot to hit the bacon button so I called to have the correct order made and even though I ordered it wrong they remade it and delivered it! They didn’t have to remake it cause Im the one that ordered it wrong but Tim had it remade and had it delivered anyways!! “if you live near UCONN, then you need to check out gansett wraps on storrs roadthe owner khal is originally from lebanon and when he moved to the states, he knew he wanted to share his love for food with the community around himhe originally opened his first wrap shop in narragansett rhode island and now gansett wraps is in a few towns across connecticut and rhode islandfirst timers have to try the gyro falafelits a beef gyro, with housemade falafel, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce. the sauce is so savory and falafel which is a blend of chickpeas and spices added so much flavorother wraps can be stuffed with chicken, bacon, veggies and even french frieshome to where the husky womens basketball team gets their lunch, gansett wraps has to be added to your connecticut foodie bucket list❤️“

“Have been coming her over the years, and you can always get a good slice of pizza, a good grinder, and to me, it was always a quick to go type of food. Have only eaten in the dining room a few times over the years. The service is great. You come in and usually get a slice of pizza, but that didn't happen today. I had baked potatoe pizza slice, and my son had a vegetable grinder. If you sit up front, you don't get waitstaff as often, but the girl was pleasant and asked if we needed anything else. I like the crust on this pizza. Crust is very important to me on a pizza. Haven't really had any bad experiences here. Always been yummy.“

All the staff, from the bartenders (shout to Zeke and Ethan!) to the servers to the kitchen chefs, are all great people that bring amazing energy. The food, in my humble opinion, is delicious. And the gelato is some of the best I've ever had (I grew up 30 minutes from Philly, so I know good gelato when I taste it). I won't say the "bad" reviews have no merit, but my personal experience, after coming here for a little over a year, had been nothing if not great. If you're in the area as a student, visiting family, etc., do yourself a favor and check it out. Square Peg Storrs is one of THE BEST spots for food, drinks, and fun in the area.“
