“I had an amazing opportunity to cater a wedding of two great friends at The Brewery. I don't have enough great things to say about the place. The building and its grounds are amazing, the brewery its self is gorgeous. Attention to detail is above par in all aspects. The Brewery room and tap room one of the best i've seen. The upstairs in sophisticated and approachable. The husband and wife owners are wonderful and they way they attend to their guests and bar none. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed and their beer is AWESOME“

Black Hog Brewing Co Brewery • $$
115 Hurley Rd Building 9A, Oxford - 11.22 miles

“Beer is good but we are saddened that they will no longer have the card purchase for $50 for 11 beers. It was a good value. This may deter us from coming. If it is not working for black hog maybe raise price of card a little? We love the beer but beer is becoming expensive at all of the breweries. May stop coming out to the establishments unfortunately.“

“Love love love this place. I have spent so many hours hanging out here. In the morning it’s so fun to come sit on the couch and read a book — the coffee is delicious! And the coffee menu is really cool and fun. Any latte here is a win. And Hanna is the most incredible and friendliest barista!! It’s also a really fun vibe in the afternoon to come for a beer and hangs. They have vegetarian options for food usually and a great food truck outside. I am all about aesthetic and this place crosses all the t’s and dots all the i’s. My new go-to spot!!“

“CHANGE YOUR PACKAGING

Your beer is good, damn good. Y'know what isn't good? The can it comes in. I was asked by an employee if what I was buying was even beer because the stuff you wrap around your cans is seriously unappealing. I can't imagine it's cheap either. 99% of stickers look better than the wrap on your cans, really, just a sticker would be better.

The meat of this: a fully colored can doesn't make people think beer, it makes people think soda or hard seltzer, case and point the liquor store clerk who literally didn't know if it was beer when I checked out because the packaging is so weird. If the can gets even slightly bent in your hands, like even just a little spring from picking it up, you get this icky feeling of crunching plastic due to the wrap on the can. I'm sure a simple sticker would be cheaper than this considering brewers large and small use those instead. This packaging is terrible. This packaging is literally good for nothing, it lacks shelf appeal, it feels awful, and there's no way it's cheaper than a simple sticker. Even if you kept the same all-black design, it'd still be more recognizable as beer with a sticker instead allowing more of the metal to show near the top and bottom. This packaging is bad and beyond that I can't imagine it isn't an unnecessary expense considering how both large and small breweries label their beer. If you want something more fancy then invest in printing directly onto the cans like bigger breweries (or smaller ones with more successful beers), or if want something less expensive that actually looks and feels decent then switch to stickers, this plastic wrap looks pathetic and feels worse so right now you're kinda picking the worst of both worlds paying more for a worse product.

Why 5 stars? Great beer, I like supporting nearby businesses, and all things considered a gripe about labeling/packaging is minor especially in this case. Don't let it stop you from getting their beer or visiting this brewery, instead buy the beer and visit the brewery but also leave a backhanded 5 star review about how their packaging blows“

Skygazer Brewing Company Brewery • $$
341 State St, North Haven - 6.61 miles

“The brunchy colada is AMAZING. The bartender tonight recommended it to us, he had just ordered it. I only got 1 can to take home, I'm not a huge beer fan (we like ciders more) and I like radlers, and this is both of those combined in a sour, with juice. It's like a summer brunch in a can. Now i need to find where it's sold....“

“Never been to the brewery but if it is as good as the beer I just randomly bought from them, I can only assume it is amazing. Not sure how long they've been around but the beer has the taste of decades of experience. Keep up the good work and send more stuff to Michigan“

Milford Point Brewing Brewery • $$
230 Woodmont Rd #29b, Milford - 7.98 miles

“Might be a surprising suggestion but we just did our son's first birthday at Milford Point Brewing, and it was a huge success!!! Everywhere else wanted to charge a minimum for space and then a food and beverage minimum. They didn't charge us for the space, opened an hour early on a Saturday, let us put up all kinds of decor, and only charged us for fresh made pizzas, breads, and pretzels. We were allowed to bring in salads, soft drinks, and snacks/dessert, and we did a cash bar for beer/wine/seltzers. Since they don't get busy until the afternoon, we had the entire place to ourselves until 3pm. The staff is extremely nice, and Sal makes all the food on the premises. They'll even take the soft drinks you bought, put them behind the bar or keep them in the fridge, and serve them to guests. It was perfect for our family and friends who didn't drink, and those who did, and we got to enjoy the 1st birthday that we'll remember, but he won't. Highly suggest Milford Point Brewing; you will not be disappointed, and you won't break the bank. They also have an amazing selection of craft beers on tap; I'm not even an IPA fan, but I love all of theirs! Best part is that they have games of all kinds to entertain everyone, with darts, shuffleboard, etc. You can even bring dogs on a normal day there, and they do events. If you're looking for a nice down to earth vibe, genuine people, and a fun day/night in a group or with your loved one or with the family, this is where you should go!“
