“Tribus is such a fun place to go on weekends to meet up with friends. I have been several times now and find it delightful. Milford Point Brewing Brewery • $$
230 Woodmont Rd #29b, Milford

“Milford Point Brewing is a craft brewery that opened in Milford, Connecticut in April 2018. It was founded by friends Chris Willett and Jerry Candido. The two are both Milford residents and originally met when both of their daughters played on the same softball team. Willett had been a fan of craft beer for some time and eventually started homebrewing. Candido had originally only drank macro brewery offerings like Bud Light, but soon converted to craft beer after trying Willett's homebrew. Willett began entering his beer into homebrew competitions and eventually beat out 40 other contestants at a contest in Stamford. Eventually Willett and Candido decided to join forces and open their own brick and mortar brewery: the first one to open in Milford which now has a growing craft beer scene. It is their mission to produce great-tasting quality beer for local beer drinkers. Most of their offerings are named after points of interest in Milford. I first visited Milford Point Brewing in March 2019. I devoted that day to trying out some new breweries in the area that I hadn't visited yet. Milford Point was my last stop of the day. They have a cozy taproom in a business park and most of the clientele seemed to be locals. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight of four which consisted of "06460" (Citra Session IPA), "Silver Sands" (IPA), "West Shore" (Double IPA), and "Settlers Stout" (Milk Stout). The Silver Sands IPA was my favorite of the flight and I purchased a four-pack of cans to take home. Milford Point makes a nice addition to the city's craft beer scene.“

Dockside Brewery Brewery • $$
40 Bridgeport Ave, Milford

“We always enjoy eating/drinking at Dockside anytime of the day or year but we look forward to the corned beef and cabbage pizza!! Wednesday was very busy at 6:15. But we sat at a great table and our waitress, Nicole, was lovely. She was bright and personable and checked in with us several times. It's just that we waited a long while for our beers! But we were fine as we visited with our friends!“

New England Brewing Co Brewery • $$
175 Amity Rd, Woodbridge - 8.7 miles

“New England Brewing Company (NEBCO) has been around for many years now. Since the first time I’ve tried their beer almost a decade ago through now I have never been disappointed. They make great pale ales and IPAs. I love G Bot, fuzzy baby ducks, supernaut, double fuzzy baby ducks, sea hag and the list goes on and on. While you are in Woodbridge Connecticut, you must take the 15 minute drive to New Haven and scarf down either Sally’s, Frank Pepe’s or Modern Apizza. You will not be disappointed.“

Two Roads Brewing Company Brewery • $$
1700 Stratford Ave, Stratford - 5.11 miles

“@tworoadscampus is the largest brewery in Connecticut and a must visit! If you’re looking for a spot for weekly trivia, bingo, or simply somewhere to watch the games, then this is the place to be. There are two different taprooms (Area 2 even has rooftop seating) and their own food hall conveniently located right across the street (although you could order food to the taprooms as well). The nachos were loaded, pretzel with beer cheese was tasty, and the Buffalo wings were a hit.I was sure to order a flight to try some @tworoadsbrewing beer, specialty cocktails, and their recent collaboration with @guyfieri. And check out Bee’s Knees, a limited time cocktail, with fresh honey made right on campus!“

BADSONS Beer Co. Brewery • $$
251 Roosevelt Dr, Derby - 6.85 miles

“BADSONS is an awesome venue for a wedding! One of my couples booked me for their celebration at the brewery and it was a great time. The private event space is separate from the tap room (but still part of the same building and property), which is really nice.As a wedding photographer, one of my other favorite parts was getting outside. The brewery staff were very accommodating, helping us and guiding us around so that we were safe. You can also book a food truck to come and cater your event. Oh, and the beer is great, too.I highly recommend BADSONS if you're a beer lover and are looking for your wedding venue. Give it a look!“

Brewport Brewing Co Brewery • $$
225 South Frontage Road, Bridgeport - 7.82 miles

“I will start with the positive, before the confusion. The beers, pizza and brewery appearance were great. However, the massive number of kids screaming, running around & crying was an experience I was not expecting at a bar/brewery. The most baffling moment was the bar was out of flight glasses. I suggested to our server to just use a bigger glass & fill with the flight size pour. I don't need the fancy board. The poor girl could not understand & kept saying we can't do that? So, I ordered 4 4oz beers to make my DIY flight.“
