“I eat a lot of authentic Mexican food. This place is definitely very good. Haven’t had anything from here I didn’t enjoy. I order at least 3 times a week since I live up the road. My favorite being the Enchilada Cemita. I recommend El Gallo Dorado to everyone.“

“Food is great. Service needs to improve. My friends and I were there for dinner. It took almost 30 minutes to order and get a drink. Then I asked for our soup prior to the meal. Each of our meals came out separately, like we were three different orders, so we really did not eat together. The soups finally came out at the end and when I told the girl we did not want the soups, she said we couldn’t change it and we had to pay for it because we ordered it. Then when we brought this to the managers attention, they said well we’ll give you five dollars off the bill. The other thing I didn’t like was they added 15% tip in. I should decide how much a tip is going to be depending on how good the service and how fast things are. Places that add a tip to the Bill basically are telling you they don’t care how bad the service was you’re still going to give them a tip. I disagree with that.“

“we got two entrees and an app. the chips were forgotten and there was a wait but very understandable with being grand opening around dinner time hours. birria was phenomenal IMO. Queso was very smooth with a nice spice . the pineapple salsa was very tasty. a lot of promise with this company . would def order again“

“Pretty good tacos, I had steak and cheese and carnitas, my friends got ground beef and queso and my boyfriend got the longanizas taco combo. This steak and cheese one is very American flavor profile, carnitas is very traditional Mexican flavor profile and the longaniza was not that spicy. The chips are really good, super thin, crispy and a little bit greasy but really good. The salsas are good, the queso was good but not spicy at all. They have Mexican sodas, Coca-Cola and jaritos. The restaurant is really small, there were two other groups of two in there and we could all hear each other's conversations. It's very tiny, but the staff is nice and the tacos are good.

Vegetarian options: There's decent vegetarian options, and you can ask them to modify most things. We get things modified there all the time. Most of the time it's done correctly, but if you stress that you have an allergy or that you're vegetarian they will make an effort.

Dietary restrictions: My boyfriend has an onion allergy and we have ordered from there bunch of times, most of the time it's correct and when I have had to ask them to remake something because there was onion in his dish, it was not a problem.

Parking: There's a small handful of spots in a free parking lot, you can also park on the street, but it's a little ways down and you'd have to walk because the side street has a family dollar right next door so you have to park on the other side of that if there's no spots in that tiny lot.“

“Exceeded my expectations! I ordered through door dash and was so happy with the quality considering it was delivery. The salsa tasted so fresh and the chips are definitely homemade. They tasted like they'd just come out the fryer after 30 sec in the microwave. For my entree I got the Chicken Burrito which was amazing. It had so much flavor and was huge. Half of it is plenty to fill even the biggest appetite. I will definitely order from here again!“

“So we stopped there cause my friend was buying a car from someone and that's the parking lot they choose to meet. I've never even been to that part of CT before. I had the chicken quesadilla, OMG the chicken was seasoned and cooked amazingly. The tortilla was toasted perfectly (and it was huge) great overall meal. My friend had a couple different tacos which he said were amazing. Even our waiter was friendly, willing to give his preferences, he would check on us to make sure we were good. Haven't had good experiences for awhile now so this was a nice change. Hopefully I'll have a reason to visit that part of CT so I can stop there again. Definitely worth the time to check out.“
