I went to eat here and never again. I was never greeted when I walked in. I ordered two plates of food for me and my son with two drinks. I was never asked if I wanted a bag yet they are quick to charge for everything but didn’t offer a bag. I had to ask and she seems surprised that I wanted a bag with all the things I had. I was asked to sit outside the cafe rather than inside. I’ll never go here again. If I can give zero stars I would!!!!!
Dangerous food handling practices, manager is unconcerned when violations are brought to his attention and makes no effort to correct them, like lukewarm entrees in the steam tables. Massive health risk leaving meat dishes out semi-warm for hours.

An extremely mediocre and overpriced Foggy Bottom breakfast and lunch spot, even by neighborhood/restaurant type standards. I recently went here to get lunch and a coffee. 1.3 pounds of food and the coffee cost me over $18, and the quality was subpar. Notably, An Uncommon Cafe uses margarine in many dishes, instead of butter or vegetable oil. I got the stuffing, turkey, stuffed fish, and fried plantains.
