“This is a very casual welcome addition to the Tenleytown area.

Using the touch screens to order dinner was a new thing for my husband and me. It was very intuitive but a nice staff member came over to make sure we were able to complete all parts of the transaction.

You pick your food from the very easy-to-see menu touch screens at the front and pay for your meal. Then pick out what table you want. Our food was very well prepared and the servers were nice and attentive.

“I tend to go here multiple times out of the week afterwork to enjoy a unique and tasty cocktail or a savory meal. Everyone that has served me has been incredibly kind and always greeted with a smile! Food was very tasty of course, highly recommended the Sake Fried Chicken, or the spicy wontons for an appetizer. For cocktails I highly recommended the Boba Passion or the Lychee Martini! If you’re in Georgetown, this is the best place to be!“

“It’s tough to find a vegan restaurant that really elevates vegetables instead of just giving you reheated Gardein items but Planta does it. The ambience is very sleek and modern (great for a date night) the bar is well-stocked and there are a ton of different vegetable-centered food options that are done really well. My wife also has a gluten allergy and they went through the menu with her to discuss what options were safest for her. We’ll be back for sure.“

“I was so sad when Planta Queen Ft Lauderdale closed down. Imagine my glee when I found a Planta Queen around the corner from my hotel in Washington D.C.!!! I did not make a reservation but was pleasantly greeted and immediately seated by Haywood. He was extremely welcoming and made me feel like a regular, although it was my first visit.

I sat at the bar and Anabel & Facundo were
friendly, energetic, and very attentive. I enjoyed conversation and did not feel awkward at all being a solo diner. Anabel prepared my cocktail beautifully and made sure it was picture ready!

Food was delicious! I had the beef dumpling, the filet mignon, and cheesecake. Temperature was good, wait was not long, and presentation was beautiful.

“Moh Moh licious is a bit of hidden treasure. The Moh mohs (Nepalese dumplings) are ridiculously good. Every time I order i tell myself I'll try more things and then get the same delicious dumplings and I'm happy. The C Momo (if you want some heat), Kothey Momo (if you want to control the sauce options), and Jhol Momo are my go to orders. Order more than you want because they are fantastic as leftovers. If this restaurant was further south on Georgia Ave there would lines out of the door.“

“$2 Crazy Hour is absolutely insane! They have a great selection of sushi and various appetizers. The sushi is the same high quality as their dinner service ,the fish pieces are huge and incredibly fresh. The alcohol are 50% off, and the selection is massive,they're not stingy like other places that only offer one or two brands. Solid takeout sushi. I was desperately craving sushi on evening and, after perusing Uber Eats for a bit, settled on Toku after receiving a recommendation from a friend. I got their sushi combo, which came with ten assorted pieces of nigiri and a California roll, as well as my choice of miso soup or salad. The sushi was super fresh, and I appreciated the variety of fish chosen for the nigiri; I didn't care much for the California roll and would have loved the option to switch it out with a different roll, but it's perfectly reasonable for them to not allow those types of swaps. It was a solid meal and absolutely satisfied by sushi craving.“

It is upstairs on the east side of the mezzanine level offering a very wide variety of tasty Asian and Middle Eastern dishes in a quiet, courteous and uncrowded environment. I grew up nearby, and it was a staple for my best friend and me on our Sunday afternoons after having scoured the flea market for anything reasonably priced. The food is consistently rich and flavorful, the staff is always friendly, and the location itself is so cute. My favorite dish is the crispy beef. The portion size does suggest being split between two, but it's so good I usually just get greedy and have all of it myself. Perfectly crispy and the sauce is just sweet and savory enough, pairs perfectly with the side of rice. The classic lo mein options are also very good. With more of a mild flavor, I usually like to pair them with a protein. The fish dishes are also delicious, super fresh and rich, the spicy hot pot fish melts in your mouth. Overall my favorite place to hit up after a long day, especially in the winter 🫶“

“I regularly order sushi from this restaurant and usually go for either the Shrimp Tempura Roll or the Salmon Tempura Roll with added cream cheese inside the roll. However, today was a disappointing experience. I ordered two lunch specials (which should include a total of four rolls) through Uber Eats, requesting the Salmon Tempura Roll with cream cheese inside the roll.

Unfortunately, I only received one lunch special (just two rolls), which I reported through the Uber Eats app for a refund. On top of that, instead of adding the cream cheese inside the roll as requested, it was just placed on top—which really affects the flavor and overall experience. Anyone who enjoys sushi knows that how the roll is made impacts the taste.

While I’m disappointed with this order, I still enjoy their food and hope this was just a one-off mistake.“
