GameOn Bar + Arcade is such a fun, welcoming space, and honestly, the happy hour alone deserves applause. Cheap draft beer in DC is already rare, but finding it in a space that is this easygoing, energetic, and group-friendly feels like a small miracle.

Oh, man, what a blast from the past! Cool setting, fun games, and decent food. And--best of all--it's not always insanely crowded. I tend to go on school nights, and there are certainly people there. But the main reason I don't go out to bistros more is that they can be like Grand Central when all the trains are leaving late. This one is actually fun to be in. Food is remarkably good for a joint of this type, too. Right next to U St. Metro. Check it out!
I have a meetup group that has started regularly hosting events at GameOn and the staff is so accommodating!!! They reserve a few out of the way tables for us and make sure we have everything we need. Plus, the food is good, the drinks are affordable, and the games are a lot of fun!
