When we came by a second time we were greeted & welcomed in by a lovely lady by the name of Christine. She’s really sweet & honestly brings so much light into the atmosphere. What stood out to me was not only her warm embrace, but her service like spirit. She brought our bowls directly to us while we were seated. “Stopped in for a quick and lite lunch around 1 p.m. and had next to no wait. I ordered the Fig & Prosciutto toast as well as the Tropi-Kale smoothie. The smoothie was excellent, and the large size is a great value over the medium - $9.99 for a smoothie, but that is in line with Tropical Smoothie and other places that offer similar products. The toast was fairly disappointing though, for $9.49 the piece of toast was much smaller than anticipated. I believe it was sourdough but the size of the toast was maybe 1/3 smaller than anticipated and for the price I would have opted for another menu item. As far as taste goes, the prosciutto was decent but the fig jam was disappointing. I will be back for the smoothie but I will avoid toast items in the future.“

The food and food presentation was exceptional; THE MATCHA BOWL WITH PEANUT DRIZZLE IS FIRE!!! “I went in yesterday around 12 honestly everything was great the smoothies the service and the food but one thing I couldn’t stand was the customers they were so rude. When I got there it was a bit busy but we were told multiple times the wait time and even when we got our smoothies we were given a bag of chips for the wait. One thing I will agree on is that there was a female staff member that was very rude and had a attitude but other then that the experience was great and I will be back.“

They're attentive, kind, and make you feel secure in a home away from home feel. The Ethiopian coffee is some of the richest and boldest in the city, and if you want a huge wake up, get the ginger coffee. The fresh juice is refreshing and revitalizing, and always hits the spot. The pastries and sandwiches are solid as well, but by far if you're going to visit, get the Ful or Ful special, its a beautiful, rich spread that is my personal go to. “I fell in love with Tropical Smoothie Café when I lived in Florida, and the Blimey Limey has been my go-to ever since. It is a bright, tangy blend of strawberries, pineapple, orange juice, and lime. Refreshing, balanced, and just the right amount of zing. It hits the spot every single time.

I recently stopped by the Brookland location after walking through the nearby farmers market and was pleasantly surprised. There were just a couple of people ahead of me, and the staff was fast, efficient, and genuinely friendly. The café itself was spotless, which immediately set a great tone.

One thoughtful detail that stood out was that they brought the drink directly out to me with a straw. It is a small gesture, but it made the experience feel more personal, especially for a franchise spot.

“I love Acai Bowls and have had them many places. Playa Bowls has one of the best. I love the Pura Vida ( I get a banana added on). The bowls are generous and full of fruit; when you dig into the acai, there's even more fruit and delicious granola buried underneath! Perfect for a refreshing and healthy summer meal or treat!!“
