“There is a reason I've been a regular for a little over a year. When I first encountered this location, I was absolutely satisfied. The food and food presentation was exceptional; THE MATCHA BOWL WITH PEANUT DRIZZLE IS FIRE!!! “OMG! My favorite place for juice, smoothies, avocado toast and acai bowls now has SOUP! Just had their potato squash soup, and it was better than my homemade soup (which is also delicious). Will be visiting often this winter for soup, cappuccino and "stay away cold and flu" juices. Sooo happy to have healthy options close-by!“

It taste OK, but it’s more of a açai flavored soft serve not a pure açai. The gut friendly refresher was good, although pretty dang expensive.“

At the employee's suggestion, I tried one with strawberry, pineapple and other flavors. It was delicious. “Place is clean. I went to use restroom and was told no public restroom. I told her I was going to purchase something. I still was unable to use the restroom. So I went next door to McDonald’s restroom and purchase something there for someone else and me too. This Smoothie King on 14th street and U.“

“Stopped in for a quick and lite lunch around 1 p.m. and had next to no wait. I ordered the Fig & Prosciutto toast as well as the Tropi-Kale smoothie. The smoothie was excellent, and the large size is a great value over the medium - $9.99 for a smoothie, but that is in line with Tropical Smoothie and other places that offer similar products. The toast was fairly disappointing though, for $9.49 the piece of toast was much smaller than anticipated. I believe it was sourdough but the size of the toast was maybe 1/3 smaller than anticipated and for the price I would have opted for another menu item. As far as taste goes, the prosciutto was decent but the fig jam was disappointing. I will be back for the smoothie but I will avoid toast items in the future.“

“I almost don't want to review it for fear of this hidden gem being overtaken by hype and becoming packed. However, it would be a disservice to not support the good people at Amen Cafe, so I will. This quaint, lowkey spot, tucked in the corner of Georgia Avenue and easy to walk by, is a MUST visit. The hospitality is unlike most cafes. They're attentive, kind, and make you feel secure in a home away from home feel. The Ethiopian coffee is some of the richest and boldest in the city, and if you want a huge wake up, get the ginger coffee. The fresh juice is refreshing and revitalizing, and always hits the spot. The pastries and sandwiches are solid as well, but by far if you're going to visit, get the Ful or Ful special, its a beautiful, rich spread that is my personal go to. I didn't even know I liked ful and now I'm hooked. I tried other cafes, no one in the city makes better ful than here. So yeah, I love my cafe, I hope it never leaves. Ameseghnalew“

“I love Acai Bowls and have had them many places. Playa Bowls has one of the best. I love the Pura Vida ( I get a banana added on). The bowls are generous and full of fruit; when you dig into the acai, there's even more fruit and delicious granola buried underneath! Perfect for a refreshing and healthy summer meal or treat!!“
