“My partner and I went to the Navy Yard location in Washington, DC a little over a week ago. on Saturday, August 1st. While the atmosphere and food was great, the service provided by the cashier didn't meet our expectations. We were anticipating a cordial greeting, a minimum level of rapport, and assistance with the menu in terms of making our choices. We were instead met with a stony glare, curt responses, creating an overall chilled interaction. All that being said, the items we selected came out good. We will be returning as the location is convenient. And we do expect improved service.“

“Today I had a great experience at this location on University Blvd. I have been to many Tropical Smoothies, but this was the fastest, nicest, most welcoming one I've ever experienced. I walked in to place my order, the cashier greeted me, there were around 12 other customers there, so I was expecting to wait a bit as I usually have to. When I tell you, not only did they make the other customers smoothies shortly after I sat down, my order was right behind theirs. I only waited maybe 3min, if that long.

I was impressed!! Great job guys. And my smoothie tasted consistently great.

The only reason I gave atmosphere a 4 is because the music wasn't on. It was a little awkward hearing everyone's conversation.“

“Ruff & Ready continues to be one of my go‑to spots for quality crabs. The seasoning is on point, the crabs are consistently fresh, and the staff is always friendly and quick to help. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the taste and the overall experience.The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the random limitations on how many crabs you can purchase at once. I came in hoping to grab a half bushel of large crabs, but they were only selling them by the dozen, which made it harder to get the quantity I needed. Not a deal‑breaker, but definitely something to be aware of if you’re planning for a bigger gathering.
Overall, still a great spot with excellent food — just wish the purchasing options were a bit more flexible.“

I was just coming off my #wintersolstice fast so I asked him what he suggested I eat, thus he suggested the lasagna (comprised of zucchini noodles, cashew cheese, almond hempburger, sundried tomato sauce w/ basil and olive toppings) creamy kale & creamy collards. Can’t forget the fresh green juice (arugula, cucumber, pear & lime)! Always enjoy his food as I feel energized eating it. “My man and I were looking for a nice hookah spot for date night. We came across this place and really enjoyed ourselves. The hookah and atmosphere were good. Customer service was a one.. You can also bring your own bottle & they have pool tables. This spot was very convenient.“

“I was in a pinch for lunch and this place was down the street. There aren't any pescaterian options but I saw that they had a grilled cheese sandwich and seasoned fries.

The sandwich was good for what it was. American cheese on grilled white bread. The cheese was nicely melted and the bread was perfectly toasted on the grill. It came wrapped nicely.

They gave me heaps of seasoned fries. The fries really made it worthwhile. And the seasoning seemed to be old bay. They were very crispy and good. You could tell they were real potatoes because the skins were on.

The convenience store and the Z burger are connected so if you wanted something sweet for after your meal you could get it at the convenience store.

This'll be an option for me if I ever forget my lunch again.“

“Super cute little coffee shop/cafe right by campus at UMD. The inside is pretty cute, lots of seating, very diner-esque. There's plenty of room to sit though which is really nice, and natural lighting from the big windows. I got a raspberry oat milk latte, which was super delicious, I highly recommend it. The staff is pretty nice, but they do rush you out when it's closing time. Overall it's great!!“
