Busy weekend IN DC, I googled this place, walking distance from my daughter's condo on same street.Upon arrival I was undecided and then I saw " Fried Gizzards"....hooked.They were fresh and hot out the Grease.A dinner roll and some hot sauce and French fries it was a done deal.Excellent food choices, service and priced right.Wish I had found them 4 yra ago when daughter started HU
Sometimes, I order the ribs. A few times, they were great. The last two times, the ribs were too tough. I could not chew them. I had to throw them out. If they took the time to boil the ribs just soft enough to fall off the bone, people would flock just for the ribs. That's my only complaint.

I wasn't a fan of the Mac& Cheese or sweet potato pie but the greens, fried liver, and chicken wings were definitely good. You get your bang for your buck. Soul Kitchen is takeout only no dine-in. The prices are average. Parking not to bad. The location made it easy to find the restaurant because it was on the corner. Customer service was ok. Y'all, everything is hand made and fresh, not from cans. I seen one of the cooks cutting up some fresh green beans. I will be back because...read full review
