“Id have taken a picture. But being here for the 2nd time I just could NOT wait to dig in. before I knew it (10-20 seconds ish) later it was all gone. I cant believe how fresh and absolutely FANTASTIC this food is. Nothing so far in Delaware compares in price to plate ratio to food and drink quality. I almost dont want to post this because I dont want it to change. Just ridiculously delicious“

“Good , but recently I saw a team member bringing a fork to a customer , but n his way he dropped the fork ,pick it up and gave it to the customer.(cross contamination) A manager was behind him but i don’t think he was aware of it . Excellent service fast and nice people ,quiality is good 👍“

“The bartenders there serve people that are obviously visibly drunk and falling off their stools! When I brought it up to the bartender, she said I misread the situation and it was none of my business! So, I went to the manager and she repeated pretty much the same statement like it was scripted because it continuously happens! I wonder if the owners are aware of these actions because honestly the bartender and manager should be fired for those kind of attitudes as it's illegal to serve visibly impaired patrons at a bar! Sad! 🤔😔 I actually have to add, it's a shame that the staff isn't the best, because the concept is great, the events are fun and our group which usually numbers 10 to 15 people enjoy hanging out there for the events and the food which is reasonable and pretty good! 💝😎👍“

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. “This place is absolutely great. We arrived just 10 mins before closing, but the staff was helping us choose and place an order for eggfree and sugarless ice creams. (We were ordering for a baby, and we are vegetarians). The staff mentioned that their ice cream has no added sugar. Also, the egg free list had many options, too. We ordered the flavors :
1. Tender coconut,
2. peanut butter and jelly,
3. chocolate almond,
4. raspberry and chip

All the ice creams were absolutely delicious. Finally, I found some sugar-free ice cream that my baby could indulge in along with us.“

“Been coming to this place ever since they’ve opened up. They have the best banh mi I’ve had since I moved closer to Delaware. If you love some good cracking pork in your banh mi. You should look into the fire cracker banh mi cause it’s amazing. My experience with the staff has always been amazing since they’re all are so kind and friendly.“

“Newtown is a historic, colonial town, and is very quaint and charming. Within, the Mercury Cafe is a gym with delicious comfort food and great coffee. While it’s vegetarian, many of the dishes can be prepared vegan. The BBQ pulled oats sandwich, pastrami panini, grilled cheese and tomato soup were all so good and comforting. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!“

“This was my first time eating at Cava and the person who made my order Yoselin did an amazing job! She gave me exactly what i wanted and was so polite to me. Her service at Cava was 10/10! She even offered to help me choose something to get since it was my first time and her patience with me was nice of her as I didn’t know what to get at first. The food was also a 10/10, the chicken was really tasty and so were the fresh pita chips that i got. Cava is going to be now my first choice when it comes to eating out Thanks to Yoselin!“

“A wonderful place with a healthy variety of food so there's something for everyone. They're very accommodating with the options— not everything is vegan, but it feels like at least half of the menu is, and if it isn't then it can be made vegan. Menu items are conveniently and clearly labeled so you know what is vegan, gluten-free, or has nuts, among other things, and I can't stress enough how much I really wish every place did this. The seitan wings and loaded totchos are some of my favorites on the appetizer end- the "wings" in particular feel nice and juicy and have a great texture that I've been trying and failing to replicate at home. They have a really killer plant burger too known as the California Gardenator, which for me is always a big +10 points especially seeing how many places' "plant options" will just be an Impossible Patty; they also have delicious and flavorful tacos made with soy curls. The location unfortunately has the same "issue" as the other Main Street locations in Newark, which is that's there not a great way to quickly park and go even if you just want to pick something up (and all the parking spots on Main Street are metered because of course they need to capitalize off of the UD kids) but the actual building is a gorgeous establishment with great indoor/outdoor seating and friendly staff. Some may disagere but I found the prices pretty reasonable for the quality and it feels like the portions are plentiful— I've underestimated how much food they give you a few times.“

“We only get a chance to come here on the weekends there is normally a wait but it's never more than 20 min. The staff is always super friendly and nice, and very knowledgeable about the menu. It is a VAST menu so it might take a while to decide what you want but we have tried a bunch of things and nothing has been short of wonderful. Price is on par for what you get rolls are a good size at an average price with quality ingredients. Highly recommend the soup dumplings! We always try to get something new but keep getting those dumplings!

Parking: It's near the food court in the mall so parking can be challenging but it is free

Kid-friendliness: We have taken out 2 year old every time we have been here we just get her a side of rice and some popcorn chicken, staff is very accommodating to kids and they have kids cup and high chairs

Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor location and is technically on the outside of the mall so easy access from the street“

“Beautiful night sitting outside but several dirty tables. However, the food and service, were hands down, fantastic! First visit and will go back! Started with the traditional guacomole made table side accompanied by a delicious margarita. Loved this dish! Tried the Dip Sampler with the warm chips ~ another pleasant surprise with so many flavors. Carnitas tacos were made with fresh ingredients and selected the flour tortilla instead of the corn tortilla. So good!! Mexican corn was ok. I will go back; frankly, can't wait to go back!“

Our server had time to explain the menu and make recommendation to our group that included a 4 year old. Why is this relevant? Because, she gave her the same respectful service as she did the adults. Thank you. Now let's get to the food. I had the Chicken Picatta. I had to take the picture because at the first bite I new it was about to be destroyed. I left nothing on the plate. “We've now had Viva Vegan make at least half a dozen custom cakes for us over the last couple of years, and they've all been excellent! The head baker/owner Evangelina can handle any dietary constraints. One of our recent cakes had to be gluten free and also avoid a few other common ingredients, and the cake was still very fluffy and moist and delicious... a big hit among all of our guests! She uses organic and high quality ingredients as well, which no other bakery in town does that I know of.“

We love the wonton soup and fried rice as well, and everything we've tried from the non-sushi menu has always been a cut above. Everything tastes prepared fresh that day; the vegetables are crisp; it's never overloaded with salty, gooey sauce. So many places just cover up mushy vegetables and old rice with sugar-heavy sauce because it's what we Americans expect, but this restaurant seems to actually care about putting out quality.
