“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. If you are in the Newark area and would like some tasty and quick diner food, go there & ask for Alicia <3 Thanks Alicia will be there again real soon !”

Mom to be absolutely loved her cake! The cannoli filing was perfect and not only was the cake beautifully decorated but it was absolutely delicious as well! Highly recommend doing delivery as it was one less thing we had to worry about and everything ran smoothly.”

“We stop in once a week. Sometimes we eat there and sometimes we call and pick up. The atmosphere is fabulous. If we ever do have to wait for our food, it’s totally worth it. If my husband and I are together we sit and have wine while we wait. They are all very friendly! If we get take out, we always get extra so we can have leftovers, which are always delicious. We reheat the pizza in the toaster oven, it’s amazing. We also love the desserts there! It’s just a great spot and we love it! I’ve never once been disappointed with any of their service or food.”

It’s hidden under an apartment complex, next to a generic looking liquor store, off the main road, next to a bus depot, like seriously, you have to know to know. So consider yourself told.

I had a lunch meeting scheduled for 12:00 p.m. for 15 people, but due to an internet issue at my location, I was unable to place my order online. When I arrived, Aryn immediately asked Hanaan and Joella to assist before the lunch rush began. Before I knew it, they had my entire order prepared, bagged, and ready to go in no time. Their teamwork, efficiency, and willingness to help made a potentially stressful situation completely seamless. “my friend and I had lunch here with our little ones today (2 and 5) i picked here because i knew they would be child friendly.because lets be honest you never know what's going to happen taking toddlers to a restaurant. they were well behaved but i want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing server Zuri. Hands down the best waitress ive ever had in a restaurant. She was polite, attentive, and had great positive vibes from her all around. “Had a great meal at ugly dumpling, greeted with great service right away! Service was personable and accommodating to my stroller and a high chair for toddler. The establishment is extremely clean and beautifully designed. Waitress was helpful in assisting with menu, family style small plates, 3-4 plates for a couple suggested. We loved the dumplings with spicy sauce on side and sesame noodles. So fun to see everyone working on hundreds of beautiful, delicate, and delicious dumplings! 🥟 thank you ugly dumpling team!”

“I’m not usually hanging out in the area, but I needed to get my car windshield replaced yesterday and had to run a long zoom meeting afterwards. So I needed somewhere to camp out afterwards since I wouldn’t make it back home to wilmington in time. I stumbled upon this place in my “coffee shops” map search. Everyone working was very kind, and the drink + bagel i had were both so good that I felt compelled to actually write this FB review. I have been mourning the loss of my favorite wilmington boba spot (it sounds dramatic but I am serious, the others just aren’t the same) so am so glad to have found a good one, even if it’s a little bit of a hike.”

We ordered three sandwiches to share and each bite was more delicious than the last. the Greek coffee was phenomenal and their iced chai latte is one of the best I've had. The atmosphere is amazing, with thoughtful touches paying homage to their Greek roots all over. The staff is friendly and attentive, and genuinely seem to enjoy working together.
