“The Back Burner has a gem in Patty. The food is always dependable, and the wine list is surprisingly reasonable for some good quality wines. I think all of these things contribute to the restaurant's staying power in Hockessin.“

“I would normally recommend Six Paulpers, HOWEVER, last night's service was terrible. Not sure what the problem was. We first waited for quite awhile for a waitress, so we just went to the bar to get our own drinks. The waitress shows up, we order our food, and it took quite awhile to get to us. My husband got the French dip and fries, I got the cheesesteak egg rolls. The FFs were cold, greasy and had no taste. My egg rolls were burnt. I sent the FF's back, and asked to see if the chef would like to look at the FF's! She goes OK, but the chef isn't in, just the sous chef! And that was it! 🤣We had to go to the bar for another drink. We finally saw our waitress again for us to ask for the bill! Hope this was just an off night!😬“

Jeff made the planning phase and menu selection easy, he took the time to make a visit required to the venue, and made sure all of our guests had a great dinner within our budget. There was something for everyone to enjoy. Our guests especially raved about the brisket! We will absolutely use them again for future events 🌟“

“Had a lovely dinner with the family, early on a Sunday evening.
Our first time at Kid Shelleen's. It was much bigger than it appears at first. We had our two granddaughters with us, one is very vocal and not great at getting food into her mouth. We were conveniently tucked into the back corner where we didn't bother any other patrons, thanks to the wonderful staff. So thankful for their kindness and attention.“

“Great vegan/veggie joint. Pretty high prices but the food is all made in house and tastes great. This area is expensive for businesses to operate so it makes sense. Fresh produce is key to their flavor. Pretty decent service, although you can definitely feel it when they're busy--the staff tries their best and have great attitudes. Highly recommended local business. The ambiance is pretty neat but not too remarkable, a bit of modern and a bit hippie all at once. Larger parties any struggle to find seating unless they give a notice prior to the day they want to be served.“

“Administrative details - While you usually must make a reservation a year in advance (which I did), there are a very few earlier spots available on their website. In addition, if you are on the email list, they send the occasional last-minute availability. Talula’s is BYOB. The price was $125 and with all the other things, taxes, gratuities, it came to $160. The Nook Table is available for 6-8 diners and the Farm Table is for larger parties. Website link is below. Everything is presented in “tasting” small portions. In addition to the menu, they provided a couple of additional offerings. I did not do a good job of capturing the delightful descriptions of the food provided by our server. (The next time I go, I will video the descriptions if they allow.) The group did a great job of bringing wine which was beautifully poured in appropriate glassware by our server. The server also paired the wine with the offerings for us! The service was exceptional without being pretentious. After each tasting, plates, utensils and glasses were cleared and refurbished so discreetly that you hardly noticed. The menu changes with the “farm to table” availability. My favorite was a squash tarte. [I was delighted to find that I did not like the foie gras. It is “made” in a most inhumane and horrible way. This is the only time I have eaten it and I will never eat it again.] I was sorry to find that by the Black Garlic Beef Ribeye (#6 on the list), I was getting to the point of “too much food.” The only downsides were “too much food” for most of us and the wines they suggested for the pairings were hard/impossible to find. I personally did not like the varieties of wines they suggested for pairings. The rest of the party enjoyed the comparable wines they were able to find and allowed the server to pair with the tastings. I will be making a reservation for next year very soon. I have already made a reservation for the “sister” Talula’s Garden in Philly for September.“

“Dinner was excellent. Ordered lots on the menu and each was outstanding. The skate melted in your mouth. Tasted like chicken. Lamb carpaccio, pork steak, rainbow trout, ravioli, funghetti. Well worth it.“

“we love Cafe Americana. we are there at least 2 or 3 times a week. the food is fresh, portions are big and we can't say enough about the team there. they are like our family. I really feel like we are home when we come in every time.“

“I went with my group on a Thursday which was a very light evening which allowed my group to enjoy our whole dining experience. Our server had time to explain the menu and make recommendation to our group that included a 4 year old. Why is this relevant? Because, she gave her the same respectful service as she did the adults. Thank you. Now let's get to the food. I had the Chicken Picatta. I had to take the picture because at the first bite I new it was about to be destroyed. I left nothing on the plate. The Impossible Sloppy for those who need a vegan option also got a thumbs up. The food comes out hot hot! No one complained! I will be back the next time I am in Delaware.“

“First time I came here, I was a little nervous, but the regulars are super friendly and the bartender is great!! I went there to read, and while I did get a lot done, it was great talking to the regulars.“

“Kelly’s Logan House is hands down one of the best spots in Wilmington. The food is great, especially the wings — they’re honestly incredible, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The rest of the menu is solid too, with plenty of good options beyond typical bar food.

What really makes it stand out is the late-night scene. Whether it’s live music, DJs, or just the energy of the crowd, it’s always a fun vibe without feeling overwhelming. It’s the perfect mix of lively and laid-back.

I also really appreciate that it feels safe. The staff do a good job of keeping things comfortable, and it’s the kind of place you can go with friends and just enjoy yourself without worry.

“So far I only order for delivery but the it was prepared and delivered in a timely manager.It was cook just right and the vegetable toppings were fresh( lettuce,tomatoes,onions) After ordering once I feel as though this is the go to place in the area for me so far for as long as Im in the area.Menu's with the delivery order would be nice though.“

“Picked up ox tail and jerk chicken today. It was ready within a few minutes of me calling it in. Staff were super friendly, food was fantastic and price was very reasonable! “I work closeby to this restaurant and had been wanting to give them a try. I never had African food before and I was curious so after work was over on Thursday I stopped in to try a lamb shank with yellow rice. It was so good! The lamb fell off the bone smoothly and the yellow rice was flavorful. I was afraid the dish was going to be spicy but they put the spice in a small container on the side. Service was friendly and fast. The price came out $20, which was not bad at all. Next time I will try either the dibi or the peanut sauce dish. 10 out of 10 Kenedougou Grill, thank you for introducing me to African food. I recommended this restaurant to my family and anyone who is curious about African food. Give it a try, you won't regret it.“

“We attended a special event at Docklands and loved the entire experience. Inside is spacious, classy and well decorated. The outside area has a bar, tons of seating and a nice view on the river. At night, with all the string lights on, it's picturesque. All of our food (Crab tots, Cajun pasta, Shrimp tacos, Skillet Nachos and Wings) was excellent! We had Erin taking care of us at the bar... she was cool and made our visit even more fun.
Also got to see the owners, awesome people, interact with the patrons and even got on the dance floor for a few! Loved it and will definitely be back!!“

“Celebrated my wife’s 73rd birthday here today. We’ve been meaning to try it for years. Today was that day and they did not disappoint. The entire visit was a pleasant surprise! And it was absolutely wonderful! Sorry we waited so long before trying it. The icing on the cake tho was our server, Aubrie. She was AMAZING! Her efficiency and warmth was overwhelming!
