“The Back Burner has a gem in Patty. The food is always dependable, and the wine list is surprisingly reasonable for some good quality wines. I think all of these things contribute to the restaurant's staying power in Hockessin.“

“I would normally recommend Six Paulpers, HOWEVER, last night's service was terrible. Not sure what the problem was. We first waited for quite awhile for a waitress, so we just went to the bar to get our own drinks. The waitress shows up, we order our food, and it took quite awhile to get to us. My husband got the French dip and fries, I got the cheesesteak egg rolls. The FFs were cold, greasy and had no taste. My egg rolls were burnt. I sent the FF's back, and asked to see if the chef would like to look at the FF's! She goes OK, but the chef isn't in, just the sous chef! And that was it! 🤣We had to go to the bar for another drink. We finally saw our waitress again for us to ask for the bill! Hope this was just an off night!😬“

“2FG knocked it out of the park for our daughter's wedding! Jeff made the planning phase and menu selection easy, he took the time to make a visit required to the venue, and made sure all of our guests had a great dinner within our budget. There was something for everyone to enjoy. Our guests especially raved about the brisket! We will absolutely use them again for future events 🌟“

“This place has got to be 1 of the best jems of Wilmington. I had the cowboy burger with fries for lunch and the black forest cheesecake for dessert and when I say impressed I mean it. Service was great very friendly. Will be back DEFINITELY!“

“A wonderful place with a healthy variety of food so there's something for everyone. They're very accommodating with the options— not everything is vegan, but it feels like at least half of the menu is, and if it isn't then it can be made vegan. Menu items are conveniently and clearly labeled so you know what is vegan, gluten-free, or has nuts, among other things, and I can't stress enough how much I really wish every place did this. The seitan wings and loaded totchos are some of my favorites on the appetizer end- the "wings" in particular feel nice and juicy and have a great texture that I've been trying and failing to replicate at home. They have a really killer plant burger too known as the California Gardenator, which for me is always a big +10 points especially seeing how many places' "plant options" will just be an Impossible Patty; they also have delicious and flavorful tacos made with soy curls. The location unfortunately has the same "issue" as the other Main Street locations in Newark, which is that's there not a great way to quickly park and go even if you just want to pick something up (and all the parking spots on Main Street are metered because of course they need to capitalize off of the UD kids) but the actual building is a gorgeous establishment with great indoor/outdoor seating and friendly staff. Some may disagere but I found the prices pretty reasonable for the quality and it feels like the portions are plentiful— I've underestimated how much food they give you a few times.“

“Tonight was our first night trying Portabello’s. We had an excellent dinner! My wife had the chicken parmigiana and I had the stroganoff. We shared the chocolate decadence cake for dessert. Had an excellent server named Erica. We will be back.“

“Administrative details - While you usually must make a reservation a year in advance (which I did), there are a very few earlier spots available on their website. In addition, if you are on the email list, they send the occasional last-minute availability. Talula’s is BYOB. The price was $125 and with all the other things, taxes, gratuities, it came to $160. The Nook Table is available for 6-8 diners and the Farm Table is for larger parties. Website link is below. Everything is presented in “tasting” small portions. In addition to the menu, they provided a couple of additional offerings. I did not do a good job of capturing the delightful descriptions of the food provided by our server. (The next time I go, I will video the descriptions if they allow.) The group did a great job of bringing wine which was beautifully poured in appropriate glassware by our server. The server also paired the wine with the offerings for us! The service was exceptional without being pretentious. After each tasting, plates, utensils and glasses were cleared and refurbished so discreetly that you hardly noticed. The menu changes with the “farm to table” availability. My favorite was a squash tarte. [I was delighted to find that I did not like the foie gras. It is “made” in a most inhumane and horrible way. This is the only time I have eaten it and I will never eat it again.] I was sorry to find that by the Black Garlic Beef Ribeye (#6 on the list), I was getting to the point of “too much food.” The only downsides were “too much food” for most of us and the wines they suggested for the pairings were hard/impossible to find. I personally did not like the varieties of wines they suggested for pairings. The rest of the party enjoyed the comparable wines they were able to find and allowed the server to pair with the tastings. I will be making a reservation for next year very soon. I have already made a reservation for the “sister” Talula’s Garden in Philly for September.“

“I've been there four times, 2x Lunch, 2x Dinner. Food, Ambiance, Service, each somewhere between Very Good and Excellent.“

“Dinner was excellent. Ordered lots on the menu and each was outstanding. The skate melted in your mouth. Tasted like chicken. Lamb carpaccio, pork steak, rainbow trout, ravioli, funghetti. Well worth it.“

“Our favorite restaurant in Wilmington“

“First time here. Good food and service! Only 'ding' is alcoholic drinks were weak and, the vanilla gelato did not taste like it but more likely ice cream. Gelato is creamier than ice cream. And it was not a scoop but more like 2 tablespoons. For $3, would expect a little more 'gelato'. Overall, good experience and would try again.“

“I went with my group on a Thursday which was a very light evening which allowed my group to enjoy our whole dining experience. Our server had time to explain the menu and make recommendation to our group that included a 4 year old. Why is this relevant? Because, she gave her the same respectful service as she did the adults. Thank you. Now let's get to the food. I had the Chicken Picatta. I had to take the picture because at the first bite I new it was about to be destroyed. I left nothing on the plate. “Kelly’s Logan House is hands down one of the best spots in Wilmington. The food is great, especially the wings — they’re honestly incredible, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The rest of the menu is solid too, with plenty of good options beyond typical bar food.

What really makes it stand out is the late-night scene. Whether it’s live music, DJs, or just the energy of the crowd, it’s always a fun vibe without feeling overwhelming. It’s the perfect mix of lively and laid-back.

I also really appreciate that it feels safe. The staff do a good job of keeping things comfortable, and it’s the kind of place you can go with friends and just enjoy yourself without worry.

“While spending and afternoon shopping my husband and I decided to stop for a lunch break at Nordstrom Grille. Our crab bisque was phenomenal, the lunch plates were so flavorful and to top it off we shared a lemon ricotta cookie that was absolutely delicious. I would recommend others to stop in and dine. “Picked up ox tail and jerk chicken today. It was ready within a few minutes of me calling it in. Staff were super friendly, food was fantastic and price was very reasonable! I ordered larges and felt that the serving was very generous. Dropped off jerk chicken at my husband's job as a surprise treat for him, he loved it as well. “I work closeby to this restaurant and had been wanting to give them a try. I never had African food before and I was curious so after work was over on Thursday I stopped in to try a lamb shank with yellow rice. It was so good! The lamb fell off the bone smoothly and the yellow rice was flavorful. I was afraid the dish was going to be spicy but they put the spice in a small container on the side. Service was friendly and fast. The price came out $20, which was not bad at all. Next time I will try either the dibi or the peanut sauce dish. 10 out of 10 Kenedougou Grill, thank you for introducing me to African food. I recommended this restaurant to my family and anyone who is curious about African food. Give it a try, you won't regret it.“

“A great venue, not far from the UD campus right on the river. Good food at decent prices. Their upstairs venue space is awesome. We are there monthly for the Vanguard Event and they go out of their way with custom drinks and great service. 10/10 would recommend!“

“Bartending is top notch! Five stars for the bartenders Derek and Paul. They serve me at the bar everytime I go which is about two weekends a month. Farmstead and crab tots are amazing! . I will say though the service of the staff has declined in the last year or so as far as the food running goes..They seemed to be short staffed now, and it takes a lot longer to get my food or I have to go up to the counter to get my food, when I used to be served. I feel like there are a lot more cover charges than there used to be so it doesn’t make sense that there’s less staff. Music is good as far as dj and bands go, and I love the brand logo so much that I’ve always wanted and looked for merch for me to purchase because I love this bar. Some hoodies or tshirts for sale would be dope!“

“Celebrated my wife’s 73rd birthday here today. We’ve been meaning to try it for years. Today was that day and they did not disappoint. The entire visit was a pleasant surprise! And it was absolutely wonderful! Sorry we waited so long before trying it. The icing on the cake tho was our server, Aubrie. She was AMAZING! Her efficiency and warmth was overwhelming!
