“A friend and I enjoyed an absolutely phenomenal meal tonight - thank you so much!! The service from everyone was impeccable from the moment we walked in sans resy and you somehow conjured us a table on the patio; your food (from the bread and fritters to appetizers to mains) was absolutely top-notch, and the atmosphere was perfect. Our server, Bengi, took the time to answer our questions about “Just what is in that incredible dressing?!” (Cherry vinegar) and “what is this yellow strip of crunchy deliciousness I’m currently enjoying?” (pickled fennel). Also, I don’t know what you put in the glorious house-made chocolates, but I do know that I could eat them every day for the rest of my life. Thank you again!!“

“Flavors, textures, cooking technique better than a 5 Star restaurant. Everything on the menu is Amazing. Their homemade sauces are like nothing I have ever tasted before and I am quite the Foodie! My favorite is the Thai Chili Shrimp Taco, I can't order tacos from anywhere else. They truly have spoiled me. The owners are wonderful people and talented chefs! I purposely drive to Rehoboth to do my grocery shopping so I can order dinner once a week from First State!!! It is a must Go-To!!!“

Love this gem there are lots of good resorts restaurants but this is special it’s not themed cookie cutter like those !!! The food is exceptionally good great sauces and the decor is elegant!!! “Cute little dive bar. Good craft beer menu. Unique food menu, with some “healthier” offerings compared to the fried or greasy food you usually find down at the beach. Lots of fun menu options that you wouldn’t expect from a spot like this like jambalaya and sushi. We have been here a couple times and have always enjoyed ourselves. Staff is friendly and everything is reasonably priced.“

“Husband and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating our birthdays at Shorebreak Lodge Restaurant this weekend. The restaurant decor is sophisticated and the seating is super comfortable. The owners Ben and Diane go over and above to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Their craft cocktails are the best! Always wanted to try octopus and this dish did not disappoint. Everything from appetizers to dinner was so delicious. Everyone we have recommended the restaurant to has gone there for dinner and they always tell us how great their experience was. We believe this restaurant to be one of the best restaurants in Sussex County Delaware. We highly recommend.“

“Not a lot of thought went into the interior design. It's basically a dive. But friendly service and the sub shop inside is frickin bang for your buck.
The chicken cheese steak was overloaded with ingredients. I was not want for extra chicken mushrooms onions or peppers and opted not to have Lettuce and tomatoes on mine.
I think it was like $15 but literally 2 meals worth for a full sub. Fat something of a name with a popular food truck or 2.“
