“I went with my group on a Thursday which was a very light evening which allowed my group to enjoy our whole dining experience. Our server had time to explain the menu and make recommendation to our group that included a 4 year old. Why is this relevant? Because, she gave her the same respectful service as she did the adults. Thank you. Now let's get to the food. I had the Chicken Picatta. I had to take the picture because at the first bite I new it was about to be destroyed. I left nothing on the plate. The Impossible Sloppy for those who need a vegan option also got a thumbs up. The food comes out hot hot! No one complained! I will be back the next time I am in Delaware.“

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.“

“We had the pig intestine stir fried dry pot, it was authentic and delicious. But the BBQ was a bit misleading. As you can see that the skewers were cooked in the kitchen and brought out and put on the heated box. Those lamb, beef and chicken skewers were delicious.“

Overall you will get much more food for the same price buying this than you will buying sushi so in retrospect it is very well priced. “I happened upon this establishment a few weeks ago while waiting to take the long drive to EWR. I stopped in, perused the menu, and decided upon lamb chops with the non spicy house sauce, Mac n cheese, and candied yams. The food was one word…FANTASTIC! The service by the bartender (I decided to sit at the bar) was wonderful; the lady spoke to me as tho we’d known each other for years! She was very gracious. And the decor and music was so inviting, not to mention the clean bathrooms! My overall experience was amazing. And here it is, I’m back today, a Tuesday, where they’re closed😂. I pray that the staff is taking much needed time off from thier awesomeness. I’ll be back tomorrow ☺️❤️🫡“

“I found out about New Number One through a friend of mine who hosts community-building jam sessions in the restaurant, and they have become one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The food is not only prepared quickly, but tastes amazing. And to allow my friend to use their space to foster a tightly-knit community with the shared interests of good music and good food is nothing short of spectacular.“

“I’ve frequented this location due to the consistency of food quality, especially with the tenders. At the other surrounding locations, the tenders tend to be dry but at this one, no matter the time of day I’ve come they’ve always been juicy, full of meat and fresh-tasting. Please keep it up!“
