“My friend and I took a girls road trip today and ended up in New Castle. We decided to try Jessop's Tavern for lunch and absolutely loved it. Friendly warm atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious lunch! So glad we decided to stop in. We will definitely be back!“

“We had dinner at this location tonight. My selection was the Rib-Eye steak with a baked potato. I requested broccoli rather than the potato, and asked to have it cooked so it wasn’t crunchy, and have the steak cooked medium rare. The broccoli florets were tender but the stalks were very crunchy. I asked our server to return them and asked to have them cooked a bit more. When he returned, there wasn’t any difference, and they weren’t hot. The steak was overcooked, tough, and bland. Honestly the only good thing was the vanilla ice cream. This is no reflection on our server. He was pleasant and attentive.“

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. “I had seen their 4.8 rating on google maps for several months. I was a little skeptical. I was happily surprised how good Appleby's was. Let's remember it is a gas station. I am pretty sure it was a husbadn and wife team working. Good taste and amount for price.“

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.“

Absolutely amazing experience, she pays so much attention to detail, asks all the right questions and if you're hungry don't worry that food is coming out fast. I have been to Applebee's and service is usually really good today with Ronia service was EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!“

“We actually ordered delivery last minute, and we were surprised by the level of care that went into the food. I’ve been casually grabbing food to go from Applebees for a long time (esp in my 20s) and this was by far the best tasting meal I’ve ever had from Applebees. You can tell the kitchen is putting effort into presentation and prep - the food was done perfectly, and all the sides and utensils etc. were in the bag. Really nice to see that extra customer care.“

He was so wonderful and pleasant to speak to and so accommodating. Our waitress Crystal H was wonderful too. She gave such great service, even helping us to decorate the tables. “We’re frequent customers at the Montvale, New Jersey, store, but this was our first visit to the Christiana (Delaware) First Watch. Spectacular food and spectacular hospitality from our server, Vanessa! I always get the ‘Traditional’ breakfast and a blueberry pancake. So yummy! My wife loved her ‘Farmhouse Skillet Scramble’! “A wonderful place with a healthy variety of food so there's something for everyone. They're very accommodating with the options— not everything is vegan, but it feels like at least half of the menu is, and if it isn't then it can be made vegan. Menu items are conveniently and clearly labeled so you know what is vegan, gluten-free, or has nuts, among other things, and I can't stress enough how much I really wish every place did this. The seitan wings and loaded totchos are some of my favorites on the appetizer end- the "wings" in particular feel nice and juicy and have a great texture that I've been trying and failing to replicate at home. They have a really killer plant burger too known as the California Gardenator, which for me is always a big +10 points especially seeing how many places' "plant options" will just be an Impossible Patty; they also have delicious and flavorful tacos made with soy curls. The location unfortunately has the same "issue" as the other Main Street locations in Newark, which is that's there not a great way to quickly park and go even if you just want to pick something up (and all the parking spots on Main Street are metered because of course they need to capitalize off of the UD kids) but the actual building is a gorgeous establishment with great indoor/outdoor seating and friendly staff. Some may disagere but I found the prices pretty reasonable for the quality and it feels like the portions are plentiful— I've underestimated how much food they give you a few times.“

“This is an awsome hot dog house, the food is simple , delicious, and decently priced. Its a staple of delaware where you get a dog any style, cheese steaks, fries soda. With a smile. The staff are very friendly .
The only issue is that it is a very quaint place, with bar style seating no booths.

“Some friends and I went to Catch45 for lunch yesterday and we had great food and conversation. We were there for nearly four hours. The ambiance was nice and the food plentiful and delicious. We had beef patties, fried plantains two ways, jollof rice, red beans, attike and the yummy sauces. The staff was amazing in sharing their culture through exploring the menu with us, making recommendations, and ensuring we enjoyed everything. “I always come to Sunset Deli but this particular day I ordered a Turkey sub and it was soooo good. Not that I was surprised but I called the next morning to give my hats off to the chef.
