“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. If you are in the Newark area and would like some tasty and quick diner food, go there & ask for Alicia <3 Thanks Alicia will be there again real soon !“

“My friend and I took a girls road trip today and ended up in New Castle. We decided to try Jessop's Tavern for lunch and absolutely loved it. Friendly warm atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious lunch! So glad we decided to stop in. We will definitely be back!“

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.“

“We had dinner at this location tonight. My selection was the Rib-Eye steak with a baked potato. I requested broccoli rather than the potato, and asked to have it cooked so it wasn’t crunchy, and have the steak cooked medium rare. The broccoli florets were tender but the stalks were very crunchy. I asked our server to return them and asked to have them cooked a bit more. When he returned, there wasn’t any difference, and they weren’t hot. The steak was overcooked, tough, and bland. Honestly the only good thing was the vanilla ice cream. This is no reflection on our server. He was pleasant and attentive.“

“We had our company Christmas party here and the event coordinator Morgan did a phenomenal job. She made it so easy and so simple that all we had to do was show up eat and have a good time. The food was extraordinary and all the kids had a wonderful time along with all the employees.“

“Enjoyed my birthday tonight with family and friends. Grew up in Newark and have never eaten here. It did not disappoint. Love the history and the ambience. Our waitress, Piper was phenomenal, .... friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. The food was perfectly portioned and all tasted great. The soft pretzel was wonderful. The Brussel Sprouts was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. The apple cider mule was a perfect drink to top it all off.“

“Many thanks to the staff at Churchman's Rd Newark DE Applebee's. I spoke to Garrett to make arrangements for a birthday celebration there. He was so wonderful and pleasant to speak to and so accommodating. Our waitress Crystal H was wonderful too. She gave such great service, even helping us to decorate the tables. I didn't expect her to do that but that was so nice of her. The food was great and prices reasonable. The staff there all seemed so friendly. Again many thanks. “The food here was sooo good!! I got the Eggsuberant, my daughter got the S’moores pancakes, & my fiancé got the Great Eggspectation. We all really enjoyed our food & there’s so many choices in the menu that I will need to come back to try as well!! The coffee was stronger than I care for, I used at least 6 Stevia in the raw packets & it still could’ve used more. This place was a bit noisy & little chilly inside. I’d definitely recommend!!“

“Im somewhat of a regular here and tonight I had the worst experience by far. The bartender was very slow and had trouble multitasking. There weren’t a lot of customers however and I had to wait 15 minutes for the bartender to take my order. When it was time to pay the check, the bartender charge someone else’s order on my credit card. Ooof. Glad I caught the mistake and informed the bartender. It wound up getting it fixed…. but still. Hopefully this won’t be a reoccurring thing.“

“Some friends and I went to Catch45 for lunch yesterday and we had great food and conversation. We were there for nearly four hours. The ambiance was nice and the food plentiful and delicious. We had beef patties, fried plantains two ways, jollof rice, red beans, attike and the yummy sauces. The staff was amazing in sharing their culture through exploring the menu with us, making recommendations, and ensuring we enjoyed everything. We were offered complimentary dishes to try and lots of attention was given. We can’t wait to go back again. Thanks for a great dining experience.“

“This was our first time dining at Turning Point. From the moment we walked through the doors, it was a wonderful experience. We were greeted with a smile from Anna. She took our name and said there would be a short wait. In no time, Anna seated us and recommended we try one of their French Press coffees. Our food arrived, we ordered the basic skillet and eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. Anna stopped back to check on us. She made our first trip, a memorable one. Definitely will be returning.“

“This is my first meal here at Chilly’s, without expectations. The waiters were very polite and service fast. We ordered the combo 3 for me : it was welcome surprise to have real chunk chicken on the enchilada soup ?, delicious (si eres mexicano sabe como sopita de frijol ?), and the smash burger… ? OMG! The bun was soft, meat really juicy and the dressing with the slice of ? ? made a really difference in the test. For something simple was a delicious meal and a really nice portion of soda. It was the perfect meal without overwhelming our belly with more food.“
