By the way hubby & I noticed the American Psycho decors right away as we’re huge fans of the book & movie. We came in for a relaxed Valentine’s Day lunch and had an awesome experience. The food and drinks were fantastic. The butternut squash soup was rich and comforting, and the lobster bisque was smooth, flavorful, and felt like a little indulgent treat.

That said, as good as the food was, the service somehow still managed to be the best part of the meal. Attentive without being overbearing, warm, and genuinely welcoming... it made the whole experience feel special and unrushed. Exactly what you want when you’re out for a nice date.

“I haven’t been to DE in a while. Tonight I had a surprise night off so I asked my son if he’d like to have dinner. He recommended a new nice looking restaurant, Roost Kitchen & Pub. I checked out the reviews and was pleased. We had a party of 4 and Ashley was our waitress.

Her recommendations were A1. I ordered the cheesesteak bao bun snack and salmon with broccoli entree. My son and his friends ordered roost burgers with fries. He also got the sweet potato fries with a “marshmellow” dip (delicious). I ended up ordered an additional to go.

I ordered an herbal-sweet mocktail, very good. Clean bathrooms, industrial/city aesthetic black/brick with clean lines, and phenomenal service. We watched a few basketball games and enjoyed ourselves. We’ll definitely be back.

“This has quickly become my new favorite spot to eat. They offer unique breakfast specialties like gingerbread pancakes and pumpkin bread French toast, and the food always comes out fast. Prices are reasonable for brunch. One important thing to note is that they close around 3 p.m., so they’re not open all day—definitely plan to get there early. Also, there’s another nearby location called Nudy’s Cafe Glenn Mills, which can be easy to mix up when meeting someone, so make sure you’re headed to the right one.“

“Solid cheesesteak at a good price versus some newer places opening up. First time having their cheesesteaks today, tried Provolone on regular roll & seeded roll with cooper, both were solid.

Will definitely get cheesesteaks from here again, recommend if you are nearby and looking for a good quality cheesesteak“

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. “We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.“

Now it's packed and lively and one of the very few later night options in an area where kitchens close at 9:00 pm. “Truly a wonderful little diner. All the menu items you can expect from a typical diner. There are plenty of vegetarian options but would not recommend for vegan or gluten free customers.
The staff was so nice and friendly. The atmosphere was very welcoming. They have a lot of regulars and it is very cool to see all the interactions between the staff and the customers. Such a great atmosphere.
Food was good. The scrapple was really tasty! Eggs were cooked well and loaded with cheese. Grits were delicious. All of the serving are of heaping size. Coffee is fresh and tasty and unlimited refills.
Prices are unbeatable.
