“Stopped by this Waffle House heading to a cruise and was immediately greeted by an amazing server named Kat/Cat. She was pleasant, friendly and extremely inviting. Her personality was everything. She constantly checked on us and was so charismatic. The food was actually perfect. Everything was right on time and this experience made our day. Perfect way to start a vacation. I frequent Waffle House in Dallas and this visit to #71 in Jacksonville Fl near the airport was by far the best, thanks to Kat/Cat! “I know this isn't a local joint, but it was late and local options were slim at the time. I wanted to send a shout out to Waffle House on Baymeadows Road in Jacksonville for an excellent experience last night. We walked in for a late dinner at 10 minute to 9. They were packed and short staffed. We grabbed the only open table and the shift leader (manager?), who was also cooking, brought our drinks and took our order, advising that it may be a wait. While we were there, 4 staff members that had been called in to help showed up and went right to work. They were a well oiled machine, continually checking on all of the tables, apologizing for the wait, and thanking everyone for their patience. We got our food and left within an hour. If we had gone to the IHOP 2 doors down, we would have still been waiting for our food (even in the best of times.) I know times are tough for the service industry right now, but these ladies and gentlemen handled it with grace and efficiency. I tipped 50% of the bill, and would have done much more if I could have.“

“These people work HARD. It's not fancy but it's friendly and consistent. They greet us by name and remember what we order. We go about 2-3 times a week.“

“This place was literally a 4 min walk from our hotel. We were greeted by the owner & she was as friendly and efficient as it gets.

Our food came quickly - hot & fresh. Prices were reasonable (especially these days) and portion size was 👍👍.

“I’m currently dining here and had to stop to write this because the experience has been amazing. Our server E for Ellie has been exceptional — her energy, kindness, and attention to detail made our meal feel truly special. The food is fantastic, full of flavor and great quality.

The environment is relaxing, the space is very open and spacious, and every staff member has been incredibly attentive, cost per meal within desired price not expensive at all. It’s rare to find a place where everything feels this good at the same time. Highly recommend!

“The new staff member that are the servers are wonderful. I went to Pier 151 when it was open prior to new management and going back was hard. However Michelle, Samara, and Miea are wonderful. They exceeded my expectations since I was nervous to go back to the restaurant without my original service animal. I have another one and she did amazing for her first time. “I love Waffle House they're consistent with everything that they fix. My only issue is they never butter the whole slice of bread when it's hot they'll put a dab in the center of the toast and not spread it. That's not even a thing for most, just my preference...lol the server was happy, sanitary and prompt. I always get the same thing, cheese and egg plate with raisin toast and hash browns scattered covered and smothered“

“This was one of the most pleasant experiences at Waffle House. I’m glad we stopped by this location when passing through town. The atmosphere was very fun, laughing going on all around between the staff and customers. Our waitress, Vion, was so nice. I’d come back to this location if I’m passing through town again.“

“This was our first time at a Maple Street Biscuit Company. The staff was absolutely amazing - answering our questions about the menu and even having their entire kitchen staff change their gloves due to a food allergy. It was a busy time of day but the staff still went out of their way to make sure that my family was taken care of - not pushing people through the line like many similar places do. The inside and outside of the building was extremely clean. The areas for drinks, utensils and condiments was stocked well and organized. The handmade biscuits were delightful. We look forward to coming back next time we are in town!“
