I can't remember what I had, but I ate it all and sampled her and my Son's entree as well. The food, the atmosphere and the hospitality of Evana will be my go to for my next experience. “Amazing evening out. Everyone was so friendly as you entered the restaurant. It started with one of the best pomegranate martinis I ever had. Our server Jessica was excellent and all the servers that came to the table paid attention to detail. The most impressive part of the evening was the impeccable style of chef Justin. We had the 6 courses chef’s adventure tasting menu and I cannot say enough about the cuisine. The harmony of flavors and the mastery of technique with the plating presentation was magnificent. The chef came to the table to explain each plate that was presented. He’s very knowledgeable regarding the dishes he prepares and you could see his personality come through in the way the dishes were plated and the flavors that came through with each plate. With the cuisine Justin is preparing this restaurant could be a Michelin star restaurant in notime. By the way I am gluten free so the chef had to make changes to my dishes only. I cannot say enough on how much we enjoyed the entire evening. We will definitely be visiting Matthew’s again.“

“Wow! I did not expect to love this place as much as I did! This is the best ramen I’ve had in Florida by a long shot. I got the Miso Ramen and Takoyaki as an App. The Miso broth had so much depth and complexity. The brisket on top was so delicious too. I wish the egg was more of a ramen egg, but the onsen tamago was cooked to perfection. I had no seen pickles in a ramen but they paired so well with the broth. The noodles were perfectly chewy as well.

The atmosphere was Izakaya like when sitting at the bar. The Japanese TV shows, anime figurines, and selection of Japanese beers all felt very on point!

Ramen is one of the food that is better left to the professionals and I’d say this restaurant knows what it is doing!“

“We visited River & Post last night for the first time for a birthday dinner after hearing so many good things, and I can honestly say the praise was very well deserved. Everything from the quality and timeliness of our meals to the friendly, informative and attentive servers were exceptional, which sadly is not a common trait in upscale restaurants. I had the Broiled Ocean Platter which consisted of broiled mahi, three sea scallops and four large shrimp served in a citrus herb beurre blanc sauce, whipped potatoes and beautiful crisp tender veggies. All of my entre ingredients were cooked perfectly, the buttery lemon sauce was such a nice compliment to this dish and let all the distinct flavors of each seafood component shine. Too often sauces can be overpowering and used to moisten overcooked and flavorless seafood. I’m glad I opted out of a predinner salad or appetizer as this entre is very substantial and I wanted to save some room for dessert. My husband also very much enjoyed his choice of the Seared Filet Mignon served a mustard demi-glace, confit potatoes and sauteed broccolini. The steak was perfectly prepared to his medium rare request and he raved about how flavorful it was. Both of our meals arrived hot, beautifully plated, and we devoured them completely. Then the decision came for dessert. Since we were sharing, we opted for the wonderfully decadent Chocolate Mousse Torte. This torte could easily be called “Death by Chocolate” due to its intense deep chocolate flavor which had a more silken fudge like consistency than a typical fluffy mousse, but still seemed surprisingly light as the chocolate just melted in our mouths. The torte was served with a chocolate drizzle, freshly whipped cream and plump blackberries. What a wonderful finish to this birthday dinner! Thank you, R&P, for this great dining experience. We’ll definitely be back, and we won’t be waiting for the next birthday to do so.“

Could have used a little more tzatziki but other then that the flavor was really good. Not an over the top place just a nice chill feel to it. Staff was nice. Make sure to get the pita bread warm! “We had 2 pm reservations on Thanksgiving Day and were surprised only a short wait to be seated. We spend every holiday here and have always loved every aspect of our dining experience. Things started off great but within fifteen minutes we were surrounded by a large party of 20 which seemed to take all the servers attention and the Gauchos never had any meats left by time they got into the back corner where we were. We finally flagged down our waiter (I believe his named was Marcus or Morgan) he was amazing he got meats to our table and apologized profusely-he was a gem. We are in the business so we made the best of the situation. Upon leaving we were walking to our car and I mentioned that next visit we would not choose a holiday but maybe a weeknight and a young manager heard me and immediately called us over and we explained. He knew exactly where we had been sandwiched in and he took the time to rectify the situation and I have to say he was amazing-problem solved and what a professional staff all around! Hats off to the manager-real professional!“

“I’m from out of town and stay in the Baymeadows area for 2 extended periods during the calendar year. Metro Diner Southside has been my go-to breakfast stop for the past 6 years. The staff is so much fun to deal with, and it’s flattering to know that they recognize me whenever I stop in. The usual fare for me is standard food (omelettes/fried egg, meat, hash browns, toast); however, today’s choice was the pork chop & eggs special. Thoughts? This needs to be placed on the regular menu. Wow! The pork chop was “over-the-top” delicious and was a perfect match with the other items on my plate (OE eggs/HBs/biscuit). I’m hoping (praying?) that this dish stays on the specials list through this weekend! Special shoutouts to my 3 favorite servers (Rachel, Jacklyn, & Monica-all in a tie for 1st place) and to today’s greeter (whose name I can’t recall and apologize for that). All of them are friendly, efficient, and lots of fun to chat with. Keep up the great work. See y’all over the weekend!“

“This is a small and quaint real Thai restaurant. It was run by the owner. She is working as the hostess, server, and cook. Be patient as she is doing it all. The food is real authentic Thai food. It's not Americanized. The food was amazing. I have crab rangoons, spring rolls and red curry with shrimp. The crab rangoons have seasoning added to the cream cheese making it yellow. Interesting twist. They tasted like it was mixed with curry so good. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I just had the best bacon egg and cheese sandwich! It comes on a croissant, and it is huge! And tasty! I had a choice of sides with it, would have preferred just the sandwich, but I chose the fruit. I will eat the fruit later, but it looks fresh and tasty. I actually ordered two, but the first sandwich was extremely filling, the second will be supper. The price is not bad for what you get, $8.99 for the sandwich and side. I had mine delivered and I didn't have to wait forever to get it. I highly recommend Metro Diner on Roosevelt Blvd.“

We have frequented CULHANES at the Beach since 2010, the fabulous Ruby Beach used to play there on Saturday nights. It was then we discovered the amazing Irish recipes that are mouthwatering! There are so many great dishes, all of the Irish dishes you would expect and then some, all with the. Culhane twist! There are also many fabulous offerings of American dishes, always with that little extra. Extra special drinks and beers, not to mention 5 Sisters Vodka they produce. This is a very special restaurant as they have recipes you will not find anywhere else. The daily specials and happy hour are worth coming in for!
The CULHANES sisters are amazing to work with. CULHANES Southside is a classy richly decorated venue with an incredible staff! Our open mic patrons are having a ball ! We play in the bar area and to the bar crowd and it is nice background for dining, not overbearing in the area. We want to Thank the Culhanes Sisters for the opportunity.
