“If I could give them 10 stars I would! My son loves Marcos so Saturday night 10 mins before closing I saw they were open & gave them a call for cheesy bread. I fully expected & would have understand if they couldn't because it was closing time. Not only did they make the absolute banging cheesy bread the young man at the counter was so kind. Give that kid a raise!! Off this experience I would recommend 10/10. Thanks guys!“

“JL’s has been a staple to my Navy family since the early seventies. We moved from Guantánamo Bay Cuba to Jacksonville.. Dad 95 years old and I had another great dinner! Liz, took care of us tonight, she went over and beyond the call of duty! I told her I wanted to get a new t-shirt when we finished dinner. We place our order and next thing I know she brings out several T-shirts for me to choose from! That’s, that extra little touch that goes a long way!“

“As always, their food, vibe, professionalism, and service were top notch. Our first night out in a while, and as usual, JCF exceeded in delivering an amazing atmosphere. The cooks, servers, and staff were, as always, quick, thorough, and the food was delish. Ibelieve I've had nearly everything on their menu now and it never is less than excellent! Quite likely our top 3-5 favorite nationwide! Easily could be number 1 with great competition. If you want amazing local food, this place is the spot. Thanks as always, y'all!“

“We had a group of about 25 people o. Saturday, and the food and service were both top notch. Wiam and Raed jumped in with their crew, and took such good care of our huge group. The food was amazing, and most of us had never been there before, but all said we would be back. We can't thank them enough for hosting us!“

“If the bar stool pizza guy was here he would give this place at least a 9.. I will give them a 10. Based on the crust before I bid into it I could tell it was going to be good and folding the pizza and holding it up in the air without any support It did not flop and that's another awesome thing so I was already anticipating the flavor and it is perfectly seasoned and I did not need to add anything to it“

“We were in the area and decided to stop by, and we’re so glad we did. Allie was our server, and she did not disappoint. Her customer service and knowledge of the menu were outstanding. We started with the crab cake—wow! The flavors were incredible, and the portion size was perfect for an appetizer. The red wine was served perfectly chilled. For our main course, we had the bison short rib with fresh mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. You can truly taste the difference here—they specialize in fresh, made-to-order food with no freezers or microwaves, and it shows. This will definitely be our go-to spot from now on. Thank you for a superb dining experience and an amazing fresh meal!“

“I’m from out of town and stay in the Baymeadows area for 2 extended periods during the calendar year. Metro Diner Southside has been my go-to breakfast stop for the past 6 years. The staff is so much fun to deal with, and it’s flattering to know that they recognize me whenever I stop in. The usual fare for me is standard food (omelettes/fried egg, meat, hash browns, toast); however, today’s choice was the pork chop & eggs special. Thoughts? This needs to be placed on the regular menu. Wow! The pork chop was “over-the-top” delicious and was a perfect match with the other items on my plate (OE eggs/HBs/biscuit). I’m hoping (praying?) that this dish stays on the specials list through this weekend! Special shoutouts to my 3 favorite servers (Rachel, Jacklyn, & Monica-all in a tie for 1st place) and to today’s greeter (whose name I can’t recall and apologize for that). All of them are friendly, efficient, and lots of fun to chat with. Keep up the great work. See y’all over the weekend!“

“I am writing to share how much my husband and I enjoyed our recent visit. We rarely dine out, and when we do, we hope for a special experience. After several recent disappointments elsewhere with poor service and food, your restaurant truly restored our faith in eating out.
Everything from the atmosphere to the service was wonderful, and the food was exceptional. It is rare to feel like we have received such great value for our money, and we truly appreciated the high standards your team maintains.

“I was walking into hair salon, (around1130am) when i noticed a very young man get out of a grey nissian, he had a CiCi uniforn on, and bottle water in hand. There was trash on ground in front of store. He stopped, picked it up, walked it to trash can and proceeded into restaurant. You don't see this now a days with these younger generations or older folks. Your facility should be proud and thankful to have such a hard working young man, kid who goes way above and beyond. Too think he did this and hadn't even started his shift yet. (From what i gathered, looked like parent dropping him off) This boy should be noticed.“

“This was my first time eating at J. Alexander and I was so pleased with everything about this place. The atmosphere was very pleasant. It was a group of 10 of us celebrating the birthday of one in the group. Our server Misty was awesome, she was so helpful and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with everything we ordered. Now to the food, WOW!!! everyone enjoyed the steaks, crab cakes, salads, warm bread with butter, celantro shrimp and to top it off the warm carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Yum,Yum. Thank you Misty for making this occasion so special for all of us.“

“This was an overall five star experience. me and a few of my friends came in the other day to get some food and it was absolutely phenomenal. We got both salad and pizza and we were thoroughly impressed by it. The staff was also very helpful and friendly, especially the manager Colby. The atmosphere was also great casual dining. I highly recommend this restaurant!“
