Little one got grilled cheese. We have zero complaints. The free donut, cinnamon and sugar, included with your meal was also delicious. Donut was fresh and made in front of you. “Yum, Yum, Yum! I was invited to lunch at Papa Diesel's Restaurant on my visit to Apopka, FL. From the moment I entered the restaurant, the entire experience was a treat. A friendly family atmosphere greeted me at the door, with the added touch of care that was immaculately given to every detail. The aroma from the kitchen activated my taste buds, as I stared mesmerized by the extensive menu. Finally, I decided to go for the “Diesel Sampler”. The brisket was so succulent that it melted in my mouth. The ribs fell from the bone with such flavor that no sauce was necessary—the pulled pork I used to sample the homemade sauces. As I was told, the sauces will soon be available in the local supermarkets (as I can attest to becoming a family staple). Needless to say, the sausage, chicken, and sides all met with the same flavorful standards. Ending my meal with a dessert, I enjoyed the peach cobbler and shared a nibble of key lime cake with my date. It was an enjoyable afternoon, sharing special time with loved ones in a loving environment, dining on food prepared by Papa Diesel, who loves to cook for folks, and making them feel at home!“

It's a food truck parked on the corner of a convenience store! And, it is only open on Saturday and Sunday! (12 Noon-10PM). You know it's good if I wait until the weekend to get my Mexican on! There is a bit of a language barrier as the owners speak mostly Spanish and understand some basic English. And with three quarters of college Spanish under my belt, I am barely able to utter, "Como esta Usted?". But, the menu has lots of pictures so pointing works. The best part is the food. Second best part: the prices. $2.50 tacos made fresh. By far the best quesadilla I've ever enjoyed. As a friend says, "They're legit" Great burittos! Huaraches. They have outdoor covered seating or you can get your Mexican to go.“
