“SOL is one of Florida’s hidden treasures. The food was all made from fresh ingredients, and exceptional.

My several dining companions ordered a wide range from across the menu, and everything was exceptional, fresh, and flavorful. Of special note were their incredible tamales, both Mexican filled with shredded pork and steamed in the traditional corn husks, and their Guatemalan tamale with pork on the bone and steamed in a banana leaf. Even the flavorful side of beans was special, with added chorizo. And for one of us, they were able to accommodate a gluten-free dietary restriction with nearly the entire menu available.

From excellent and friendly service, multiple outdoor patios for ample outdoor seating, colorful umbrellas, beautiful Mexican tile floors inside, to a festive garden feeling throughout (there are even live chickens and a happy rooster roaming behind the restaurant!), SOL shines with love.

Very, very highly recommend this hidden gem.“

“I go mountain biking at Alafia every saturday morning and I stop here and get food on my way home every single time. I was born and raised in california, and california doesn’t do a lot of things well but its widely agreed that mexican food there is the best in the country. This little taco truck compares to anything I ever ate back home. Food is delicious. The portions are huge. Flautas are phenomenal. Tacos are authentic. I eat at every spot around just to see whats good and this is by far the best mexican I have had within a hundred miles of here.“

They're menudo was fresh with excellent pigs feet and corn homemade corn tortillas cooked perfect.
Their tacos I we bought were chorizo Carnitas and barbacoa. They had grilled onions and cilantro with an avocado salsa and a red salsa that was homemade flavors were perfect.
Orchata was homemade delicious.
The little store was very clean excellent pan duence. Outside area was very clean the young girl that was serving us was very kind and the cook very soft spoken but very respectful. We absolutely enjoyed the live chicken we were able to feed him and heard him cockadoodle do a few times.

“VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. They deceive people. In the photo they put a combo and then when serving it they say that it doesn't work like that. That's scam. I complained to them and they said it wasn't going like that and that's it. The combo came with Chips and guacamole. I spoke to the manager and she said they were NOT going to give them to me. But I assure you that McDonald's is missing some fries and so they do complain. They made me look bad with an American friend I brought. I'll never go back again.“

Wimauma is located in the corner of Hillsborough County, it's a perfect spot to enjoy savory food alongside delicious baked pastries, including large cookies, donuts, and other delightful treats. During my visit for breakfast, I ordered a potato and Mexican sausage taco, as well as a bacon, egg, and beans taco. The homemade tortillas truly stood out; you can definitely taste the difference compared to store-bought ones. I was with four friends, and we were patiently served by the cashier, who ensured that our orders were accurate and that everyone was taken care of. We decided to dine in, and since Wimauma is such a small town, we even recognized some of the incoming customers, which added to the family-style atmosphere. After enjoying our breakfast, we spent some time chatting without being disturbed by the staff. It felt like they genuinely appreciated our presence. Overall, we had a wonderful time enjoying authentic food and connecting with the community.“

“I arrived to the store on September 6th to find that my order had been stolen. Okay, that's understanding. I used to do Uber eats as a driver so I understand. However, dealing with Uber each support is no good. But thanks to James for his very professional service and caring attitude. I really wish the best for James. “If you follow my reviews, you would know I have raved of my favorite taco spot elsewhere. I have since then moved down to Gibsonton and have embarked on a journey of taco truck hopping. If you frequent US Hwy 41 you would know what I mean. I have gone from Big Bend up to Symmes trying all the taco trucks along both sides of the road. One day I decided to go past Symmes. I found this truck, Marife, in a gas station. And I am so glad I did. Meat is always freshly made. Veggies are always fresh and crisp. Her sauces are made fresh with ingredients sold by a local neighbor of hers that has a market as his sole source of income. I know this because she didn't have salsa Verde for back to back visits and when I asked she explained she likes to support him and he is out of the ingredients she needs to make her sauce. Her humility and ability to make some top notch tacos, sopes, and gorditas have earned my money and respect. The prices are extremely cheap and realistic. She takes cash and zelle for forms of payment.“

“I ordered extra everything on my NACHOS BELLGRANDE through DoorDash and they HOOKED IT UP! I absolutely love this location! I typically go once or twice a week after getting off work around 2-2:30 AM and even at that time of night, the staff is always very friendly and my food is always on point. I will literally drive past the Taco Bell on 301 and Big Bend to come to this location because they never disappoint! You guys are awesome!“
