“I picked up a 2 pc chicken plate a couple hours ago. I just want to say it was the best fried chicken I have had in a long time. Fresh juicy on the inside awesome crust on the outside. The okra was perfect fries and roll fresh and great too. The young men that were working inside were very polite, friendly and gave great customer service and and a fresh product. As a General Manager myself, I say great job guys!!!“

“Ok, so I see some negative comments on here about Mannys. I have been going to the one on 27 for a little over 10 years. Usually at least twice a month. I have NOT had the experience these people have and wonder if their expectations were beyond attainable and no matter how good things were they would still have a complaint. My girlfriend and I love this place. I have never had a badly cooked steak and the prime rib my girlfriend gets is what she wants. I would not under any circumstances continue to patron a restaurant if it were not good. Having lived in west Texas for almost two decades, I know a good steak. If your expectations are that high, maybe stay home and cook one yourself. You are your own worst critic.“

“Was in town watching dogs for someone, and saw that this place A) exists and B) has cheesesteaks. I will try a cheesesteak anywhere, even if gunfire is happening around me. Thankfully, this restaurant is in a no fire zone. But for this sandwich, it would be worth the risk and the added expense of kevlar. I kid you not, their “Awesome Philly Sub” is that and more. I can’t remember eating a better cheesesteak in 2 decades, and I’ve most certainly tried. Two thumbs up isn’t quite enough… I’ll have to borrow some extra thumbs from my enemies to add to the score. Highly recommended! And I’m a cheesesteak snob… they conquered my appetite and I’ll most definitely be back when I’m out this way again. If you live in Lakeland and love sandwiches and HAVEN’T TRIED THIS PLACE, you are missing out and are making a bald eagle cry. I can’t prove that second one, but it sounds legit.“

“Had the pleasure of experiencing The Peach House for my birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint!! Great well thought out smaller menu, but covered all bases!! Cocktails were exceptionally good, Appetizers were amazing, Main course was Delicious, Steak frites are the best in Lakeland by far, and Jambalaya was the perfect mixture to keep you wanting just one more bite. We shared the Brûlée Key Lime Pie with house made whipped cream and it was better than I’ve had in Key West!! 10 out of 10 on my list, atmosphere is pleasantly decorated for the holiday season, book you family gathering or work gathering in this incredible little spot before everyone knows!!“

“It is our favorite sushi place in town by far (and we have a lot of sushi places here)! Fish is always fresh, rolls are creative and delicious, the restaurant is clean, and the service is great. Honestly, this restaurant is in my top 5 Lakeland restaurants. I've had foodie friends from NYC visit and thoroughly enjoy their meals here. My 14-year-old daughter has been obsessed with this place since I introduced her to the Out of Control Roll (my go-to). I highly recommend it.“

“A nice little park with abundant wildlife. Hopefully the several new disc golf stations installed here don't ruin that. The massive bump that now serves as the crosswalk across the main road isn't particularly awesome either.

It’s not just clever plating — it’s a flavor bomb disguised as whimsy. Bright, herbaceous, pesto, rich, and somehow still light enough that you don’t hate yourself afterward. Pure culinary sorcery. Nutwood continues to be the cheeky, flavorful gem of Winterhaven. Bold plates, zero pretension, and enough personality to make you laugh out loud mid-bite. If you haven’t been, fix that immediately. Small town location but nicely decorated, convenient parking, and fabulous menu with big city on point offerings and lovely little fun twists on typical ho-hum breakfasts you will get anywhere else. One example was the biscuit with my husband’s order of the Country Boy Breakfast. (A+) It was sliced and had been lightly grilled. That biscuit was delicious. I ordered the Top Hat Flat which was a great new twist on what you would’ve called a veggie omelette in the past, and it was topped with a Monterrey Cheese sauce. Oh my!! The nice size portion of home fried potatoes garnished with onions was a surprise. This was Chicago worthy! The prices are extremely reasonable for the extra efforts being offered at the cafe.
