“Tantrums food truck was at Front Page Brewery in Bartow and we weren’t going to get anything we brought pizza but I kept smelling the food so we got the shrimp and grits. Best decision of my life! I love shrimp and grits but this is a different take on it. It was absolutely delicious! Like how did this come off a food truck! The crispy grits cakes the bacon peppers and onions the shrimp cooked perfectly! Can’t wait for them to come back!“

“Out-of-towner happy to have landed at Zest for a late, Sunday afternoon lunch on a day trip to tour Bartow's interesting Wonder House, with quick, unplanned visits to the L.B. Brown House Museum and the Bartow History Center. Located on a side street a couple of blocks from the old town square Zest has a quiet, unassuming appearance with off-street parking and an outside, covered dining patio. Inside seating includes booths, tables and the bar in a large, high-ceilinged, sort of dimly lit dining area with a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Our server Regan, (I think was her name) was efficient, and attentive and just right friendly. Our food - we both had fish and chips with cole slaw - was excellent - the slaw was good - chunky cut with vinegar-based dressing rather than mayo-based, medium cut fries and the fish were very good - tender and crisp (the fish lightly battered). Definitely would be a repeat customer if I was a local. Planning to return to Bartow for a scheduled tour of the L.B. Brown House and to explore more of the History Center and it will be hard to decide whether to try a different restaurant or to return here where we really enjoyed the service, the meal and the space.“

“I picked up a 2 pc chicken plate a couple hours ago. I just want to say it was the best fried chicken I have had in a long time. Fresh juicy on the inside awesome crust on the outside. The okra was perfect fries and roll fresh and great too. The young men that were working inside were very polite, friendly and gave great customer service and and a fresh product. “Riverside Seafood & Chicken has become one of my favorite local spots, and I've gone back multiple times because the food is consistently delicious and the staff always makes me feel welcome.

One of my absolute favorites is their family-size coleslaw. At only $8, the portion is huge and could easily feed a family of eight. It's always fresh, crisp, and has just the right balance of sweetness and tanginess.

I also can't say enough good things about their fried Cajun shrimp. Every time I order it, the shrimp comes out perfectly cooked, golden brown, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor. It's easily one of the best shrimp dishes I've had in the area.

What really keeps me coming back, though, is the friendly customer service. I often stop by with my dog, Buster, and the staff is always kind enough to bring him a bowl of ice water. Those small acts of kindness make a big difference and show how much they care about their customers.

If you're looking for great seafood, generous portions, fair prices, and genuinely friendly service, I highly recommend Riverside Seafood & Chicken. It's a place that has definitely earned my repeat business.“

“Ok, so I see some negative comments on here about Mannys. I have been going to the one on 27 for a little over 10 years. Usually at least twice a month. I have NOT had the experience these people have and wonder if their expectations were beyond attainable and no matter how good things were they would still have a complaint. My girlfriend and I love this place. I have never had a badly cooked steak and the prime rib my girlfriend gets is what she wants. I would not under any circumstances continue to patron a restaurant if it were not good. Having lived in west Texas for almost two decades, I know a good steak. If your expectations are that high, maybe stay home and cook one yourself. You are your own worst critic.“

“Here's a reminder that quality Chinese food restaurants exist. Had their Beef Lo Mein, Mongolian Beef, and Bourbon chicken all were deeelish. Their beef is cooked well which i like here and large portions. After seeing some positive reviews my eyes have opened again and will return here to try other things and you should too.“

The REECECLIFF Diner has been in Lakeland since 1934 and it is absolutely AMAZING & DELICIOUS!!!!!! Thanks to our Waitress - Ms. Gina, for making me feel so comfortable and confident in my meal choice (Saturday Special - 2 country fried pork chops, fried okra, side salad and coleslaw, with sweet cornbread and a sweet iced Tea 😎👍)! We have tried several different items to sample and all have been great. We were craving crab ragoon and noticed the only thing they had was fried cheese. AMAZING!! They were so good you didn't miss the crab. Food is always tender/ not dry or over cooked. Definitely our go to from now on.“
