“25 mins to get our waters and drinks after sitting down...and then our waiter didn't put in my husbands dinner, so when the food came, it was an appetizer and 1 meal. Awful service. The Mgr made up for it by comping our first round of drinks and my husband's dinner (that was never put in), but wow. I feel like I was getting punked tonight.“

“Went here with my dad—we’re both Puerto Rican, born and raised. Despite some bad reviews, we were pleasantly surprised.

Alcapurria and Queso Frito were excellent. The stuffed mofongo was one of the best I’ve had in Tampa, while the arroz con gandules tasted reheated. Prices felt a bit high for a casual Puerto Rican spot in Brandon.

Pros: Great appetizers, excellent mofongo, friendly service
Cons: Rice quality, slightly pricey

Overall, a solid meal. I wouldn’t go out of my way, but I’d return if I’m nearby. Grade: B+“

I ventured away from my usual Thai Bowl and tried the Big Italy with crispy chicken and spaghetti squash. Dang…was it good! Portions were sufficient, well-prepared and proudly served. This selection might just become my favorite at Cali’s. Granted, the staff consists of young adults who are, in the least, committed to going to work to earn their pay. Their attitude is encouraging. Some of the comments posted may not be fair. One has to allow opportunity for on-the-spot redress of an actual or perceived wrong (the menu is self-explanatory or can be clarified by simply asking). “It was my First time eating here and it was so good! The portion sizes overall were a great size for the price. Around $55 with Uber eats Texas delivery charges, and driver tip. I had the Birria quesadilla, the large portion of rice, Chips with queso, Tres leches cake, and the Horchata for my drink. I was hungry and I wanted to get the full experience of what the restaurant had to offer. Leftovers are always a bonus! For my first order, I ordered for delivery on Uber Eats. Despite being delivery, Everything was hot, fresh and well packaged. I will say the Birria quesadilla was a little soggy on the bottom, but it tasted fantastic! Some of the best Beria I’ve had. The queso tasted homemade, flavorful, fresh and delicious! The portion of the tortilla chips, took up an entire brown paper bag full! (in my opinion when I order Mexican food for delivery and I see a big brown paper bag stuffed completely full of seasoned tortilla chips, that’s how I know the rest of the food is going to taste amazing!) I love the small detail of the seasoned chips. It’s like putting sprinkles on a cupcake. It’s not needed, but it makes it better. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned. My Birria quesadilla came with small sides of guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Even though the food didn’t need it at all and was flavorful and delicious without it. A few small critique I can give is that Tres Leche cake piece that I got was extremely small unfortunately, which I wasn’t expecting. It was only three small bites if that, but it was really delicious! My second critique is, I wish they offered a bigger cup of Horchata like they have the larger option for the Rice. Horchata is one of my favorite drinks, but honestly I can’t complain too much because everything including the Horchata and Tres leches cake was so good! I guess my only complaint is that there wasn’t more Horchata and Tres Leches cake. The slightly soggy texture of the Birria quesadilla I contributed to the fact that it was delivered still hot in a Styrofoam container, & I don’t consider that the restaurants fault. if I was giving a rating I would still give it a 10 out of 10. 100 percent! I will be eating here again, these small critiques that I have would not even change my rating! And I have leftovers so there’s some bonus points!Delicious food with overall large portions for the price!You guys did a great job! “If you love snapper, this is definitely a place I would recommend checking out. For the price, the portion size of the snapper is absolutely perfect, and the flavor is amazing. Every time I’ve ordered it, the snapper has been the highlight of the meal.

The only area I think could use a little improvement is the sides. I normally order the black beans, beans, or lentils, and the portions can sometimes feel a little small. On a couple of occasions, it seemed like I received more broth or soup than actual beans.

That being said, overall this is still a very solid place to eat. They have several other good menu options, but the snapper is definitely my favorite. If you’re a snapper lover and want a great portion with excellent flavor at a reasonable price, this is a place I would absolutely recommend.“

“This is absolutely the best breakfast place in Brandon. I went in a busy day, Fathers day. Even though it was packed the wait was not long. The server was amazing. The food is so mouth watering. They have the best sweet tea, French toast and poached eggs. They have espresso infused syrup that makes the pancake even better, and thays saying a lot. They have both the best that suaces [i am a hot sauce person]. The price is right because this food and atmosphere so worth it.“

The new owners made planning flawless and everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived. She was so good with the kids and they had a blast.
