“This is an awesome place and especially during the football season. I've met so many new friends and acquaintance at this location and have had fun and substantial conversations. The staff is friendly, and attentive, always finds the football games when you need to watch your team. The managers are hospitable and welcoming, i recommend this place and look forward to coming back to watch the Eagles rock the house.“

“I’ve been going to the Brunchery since I was a kid and now I take my own kids there if that tells you how good this place is. The potatoes are amazing but so is almost everything else on the menu. The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating. It’s my kids’ favorite place to eat so I take them every chance I get!“

“I had the pleasure of dining in the Valrico restaurant and tho my review is not all pleasant the results of my issue was pleasant...My mom and I came in for dinner after her Chemo Treatment...Our waitress Bianca was very nice...we ordered our food a Pancake breakfast and Pot Pie...as we waited some time we noticed that tables whom were seated after us were getting their food...well after the 3rd table was served I finally called our waitress over to ask how long would it be she politely responded I'm checking on it now...so I asked could I please speak with a manager...The reason being is that I felt I didn't need to address the waitress because she was going to continue serving us and I didn't want the tension between us...The manager came out can't remember her name I explained to her that we had been waiting quite a while for our food and in the meantime no one said anything to us of why it's taking so long...she apologized and offered us freebies to our satisfaction...We refused the freebies because we wanted what we ordered we didn't come to get anything free...To my surprise she was very professional listened to our problem with a pleasant attitude...Even tho we refused she brought dessert to the table..just wanted to say Thank you to not only her but also Bianca I will definitely be back again...The our dinner was amazing...“

I ventured away from my usual Thai Bowl and tried the Big Italy with crispy chicken and spaghetti squash. Dang…was it good! Portions were sufficient, well-prepared and proudly served. This selection might just become my favorite at Cali’s. Granted, the staff consists of young adults who are, in the least, committed to going to work to earn their pay. Their attitude is encouraging. Some of the comments posted may not be fair. One has to allow opportunity for on-the-spot redress of an actual or perceived wrong (the menu is self-explanatory or can be clarified by simply asking). “My friend and I, or alone, visit your restaurant in Brandon, FL several times a month since your opening and we always take good care of our server. We love the food! The fried chicken is the closest to the Amish's Broasted chicken that we've found! Amish cooking is the best overall but there are close seconds. Your restaurant is one of the few my friend and I patronize here in Brandon. We're loyal patrons of certain establishments. I am a senior, over 70, with hearing loss in my right ear, as a result, I talk a little louder in noisy settings, but it certainly isn't yelling. Unfortunately, in today's world if you speak above a whisper, you're accused of yelling. Sad people can't handle someone speaking above a whisper. I'm old school and in my life experience, people have the freedom to speak up when it's deserved. I visited your restaurant today, Sept 13, 2026, about 12:15pm(seated at 12:50pm) and put my name on the list, 20 minute wait. I told the young lady if a space came open at the counter, I'd take it. About 10 minutes into the 20 minute wait, I noticed an empty seat, told the hostess I was going to see if it was taken and walked over. The seat was taken so I walked back over to the hostess and ask her to keep my place. Several new walkins were seated while I was waiting. Excuse me, I asked the hostess, I have been waiting for over 20 minutes and not been seated and you're sitting others? The front line manager walked over and told me not to yell at the employee. I was not yelling and told her I couldn't hear with my right ear (and there was so much noise), I had been waiting for a table for over 20 minutes and others were seated while I was still waiting. (Trust me, if I was yelling the whole restaurant would have been privy to the conversation.) She walked away then returned and lead me to a seat with an attitude. I'm sorry, but there was no acknowledgement when I asked the hostess to keep my place after discovering the counter seat was taken. After the scene, I noticed I had received a text that my place in line had been cancelled. The hostess could have apologized and seated me because she cancelled my name but that wasn't what happened. I honestly do not feel the situation should have gone as far as it did. The staff took it out of context to the event instead of asking what the situation was instead of walking up with a hostile attitude, creating a scene. Again, we enjoy your food, the service and for the most part, glitches happen, the staff are doing their jobs with smiles, professional and efficient. I feel these young hostesses, because they have no life experience are extremely emotional for these positions. Thank you for your time and attention.“
