By the time I got there it was pouring and I parked by the curb and the nicest young lady brought me my perfectly packaged and bagged meal. “My friend and I, or alone, visit your restaurant in Brandon, FL several times a month since your opening and we always take good care of our server. We love the food! The fried chicken is the closest to the Amish's Broasted chicken that we've found! Amish cooking is the best overall but there are close seconds. Your restaurant is one of the few my friend and I patronize here in Brandon. We're loyal patrons of certain establishments. I am a senior, over 70, with hearing loss in my right ear, as a result, I talk a little louder in noisy settings, but it certainly isn't yelling. Unfortunately, in today's world if you speak above a whisper, you're accused of yelling. Sad people can't handle someone speaking above a whisper. I'm old school and in my life experience, people have the freedom to speak up when it's deserved. I visited your restaurant today, Sept 13, 2026, about 12:15pm(seated at 12:50pm) and put my name on the list, 20 minute wait. I told the young lady if a space came open at the counter, I'd take it. About 10 minutes into the 20 minute wait, I noticed an empty seat, told the hostess I was going to see if it was taken and walked over. The seat was taken so I walked back over to the hostess and ask her to keep my place. Several new walkins were seated while I was waiting. Excuse me, I asked the hostess, I have been waiting for over 20 minutes and not been seated and you're sitting others? The front line manager walked over and told me not to yell at the employee. I was not yelling and told her I couldn't hear with my right ear (and there was so much noise), I had been waiting for a table for over 20 minutes and others were seated while I was still waiting. (Trust me, if I was yelling the whole restaurant would have been privy to the conversation.) She walked away then returned and lead me to a seat with an attitude. I'm sorry, but there was no acknowledgement when I asked the hostess to keep my place after discovering the counter seat was taken. After the scene, I noticed I had received a text that my place in line had been cancelled. The hostess could have apologized and seated me because she cancelled my name but that wasn't what happened. I honestly do not feel the situation should have gone as far as it did. The staff took it out of context to the event instead of asking what the situation was instead of walking up with a hostile attitude, creating a scene. Again, we enjoy your food, the service and for the most part, glitches happen, the staff are doing their jobs with smiles, professional and efficient. I feel these young hostesses, because they have no life experience are extremely emotional for these positions. Thank you for your time and attention.“

“Love the bread! We both had a great dinner for our anniversary. We were taken care of by Dani that provided great service even though she was slammed busy. We ordered salmon and a t-bone steak along with loaded baked potatoes. The broccoli with my salmon was cooked flawlessly. We also ordered the chicken wings, macaroni and cheese, and the chocolate cake for dessert. The bill came out to around 120 bucks including tip.“

“I've been a regular at Duke's Brewhouse every Thursday for quite a while, and Liv is hands down the best server I've ever had there. She's always friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes every visit enjoyable. She remembers the little details, checks in at the right times, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect.

To be completely honest, when Liv isn't my server, the experience just isn't the same. For me, the service drops to about a 2-star experience at best. That's not meant to put anyone down—it just highlights how exceptional Liv is. She sets the standard for what great customer service should look like.

Duke's Brewhouse is fortunate to have someone like Liv on the team. She's a big reason I keep coming back every Thursday, and she absolutely deserves recognition for the outstanding job she does.“

We returned on 5/2/26 and sat at the bar. Laila was our master-of-drinks and was a breath of fresh air. I wish all of the bartenders were as efficient as she was. Never had to get her attention for a refill because she kept an eye on things. Outstanding! They have a male bartender that is extremely slow and disconnected from the customer service role. He's better suited for handing out samples at Costco. If he's on the bar, we turn around and leave. Laila runs circles around him. Thanks for a great time Laila.“
