“I arrived on the day they changed their seasonal menu offerings-and after one look at the "Lucky Duck" March flavors, I felt like I was just that-a lucky duck-especially since this was my maiden voyage. All the green icing-the Lucky Charms cereal-the spring flavors... this duck knows how to make a great first impression! Duck Donuts started in Duck, North Carolina. They've fully leaned into the duck theme, with a cute mascot named Ollie and cheerful bright colors. There's table seating and a high counter by the front window plus a separate room, away from the ordering/decorating area. All of the donuts are the same base. It had a vanilla flavor and the texture is the perfect middle ground: not too dense or chewy-but not too light and airy, either. Same for the toppings-they're not cloyingly sweet... but full of flavor. Goldilocks would love this place-everything's "just right." So, I ordered a half dozen. I loved the bacon one-Mom was all about the cinnamon. We split the lemon with sprinkles and it was spring in a ring-so bright and sunshiny. We're only halfway through the six, but I'll update you as we taste more. I paid about $15 for the half dozen. You can watch them decorate each one (so fun! All those tubs of frosting/glaze!) and their boxes are adorable. The staff is so personable and warm. I felt so welcomed. What a bonus on a tasty Tuesday. I'd come back just to chat again with them! But I also can't wait to try the drinks, ice cream concoctions and donut sandwiches (!) This shop is conveniently located in the Bloomingdale Square plaza-which has a Publix, First Watch and Beall's, as well. It's on the north side, closest to Bloomingdale Ave-so you can *duck right in and right out.“
“Always perfectly made, and very friendly staff. I was a little intimidated at first having no clue what I was getting or how to "order" it. It's literally just choosing a flavor and sweetness level. I like really sweet so I always go with 75% sweetness. I recommend the blueberry with blueberry boba (the tapioca pearls). There's also a display at the counter that shows all of them true to size and look.“
“Super nice staff, yummy and good boba tea, huuuuuge variety of flavors and types of teas. The service was quick! What I like is that the sweetness level was perfect not overly sweet and not watered down. Boba tea done right. It was perfect!“
“Excellent, locally owned traditionParking: Parking can be challenging when they are really busy. In and out is limited due to excessively poor Hillsborough County traffic planning.Kid-friendliness: Minimal playground equipment for children but enough to keep them busy when they run out of ice cream!“
“Everytime I pass by Brandons raining berries I crave an acai bowl, the staff is so nice and they know me by name and remember my order since I go every other day! I like how I can build my own bowl since I have many allergies but everytime I walk in they change their gloves and clean the acai station. Thank you workers!“
“Mito is an amazing barista that always goes above and beyond to show great customer service and he makes DIVINE vanilla lattes! I highly recommend the store due to its exceptional coffee products and the people that run it! I am a Blind Tiger fan for life!!“
“Even though they were busy, they kept the lines moving. The beverages were exactly how I ordered them. The smiles flowed, as mroe customers entered thoughout my stay. I took time to catch up on reading for work and sipped my iced tea. The tables were clean and music was not blaring so I could focus on my studies at hand. For a well traveled SR 60, the staff appeared to communicate effectively and stayed calm even when lines were long. I definately will return to this location when I am in the area.Parking: The drive thru line did block some parking spots briefly. Then as the line moved, I was able to park easily.“
“We came in for a late coffee run and stayed for a little before heading to dinner. Inside was quiet only a few people which was nice.also this location was pretty clean inside. I ordered my regular iced oat latte and two hot cocoa specifically warm for my kids and when they were ready I could feel the cups were pretty hot. When I opened the lids I could feel the heat so I ended up asked for ice cubes to hopefully cool the drinks down but it didn't solve my solution unfortunately.Overall it wasn't terrible for me but for kids it's a different situation.“
“I can get here only once a week and it's just not enough! The coffee is first rate and the sausage/egg waffle is amazing--all the protein and no carbs! Lou and his staff work very hard to provide quality service, beverages, and food in a delightful atmosphere. Grab a mug, sit outside, and enjoy the view of the lake and watch the water fowl. Amazing way to start the day!Dietary restrictions: Keto-friendly options are great here!“
