“El Taco Amigo is an unassuming little place in Deland in what used to be a gas station… you wouldn’t know it was there unless you had found it in Maps or you had been there before, and what a loss it would be to dismiss it!! The food is authentic and really flavorful. We had some chicharrones (pork cracklings) and it was homemade and amazing… the tacos are so so nice and if you get a burrito platter you’ll be able to share… all in all a place worth remembering to come visit whenever you find yourself in Deland!“
“Absolutely amazing experience from the chips & salsa to the Burrito Mexicano and everything in between!! And the prices are extremely reasonable!! Not many places I can go and eat for under $20 and be completely full when I walk out!!! 5 stars across the board!!!“
“Excellent service, great tacos, and chicharrones! Chicharrones, by far, my favorite. Crispy, meaty, and plenty available for purchase. Although I do not speak Spanish, the clerk was helpful and kind in helping me place my order. I am looking forward to returning.“
“This place is INSANELY good!!!! WOW! Had three tacos I wish I had gotten three more. From the tortilla, to the fixins, to the red sauce which SO FREAKIN GOOD and SPICY! I hope this place sets up shop and expands cause wow, best tacos I’ve had in deland no contest!“
“Had the quesadillas, they were fantastic Great value since they're big enough that one feeds two peopleThey do charge a 15% service fee, didn't know until we checked our receipt and it isn't advertised anywhere I could see it at least“
“We have tried many Mexican restaurants but this one is always the best. Peppers and onions are always cooked well and flavorful. Shrimp Delight is delightful. Appreciate that they always use the large shrimp ? in their entrees. Burrito Mexico is always fantastic too.Parking: Ample parkingWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is wheelchair accessible. They are always accommodating.“
“STOP REVIEWING THIS PLACE AS "CHEAP" OR INEXPENSIVE! Every time somebody says that this guy raises the price of a taco another quarter.Keeping his 5 star review tho because he (finaly) used some of that cash to upgrade his taco truck & (I know this sounds silly) condiment selection. The addition of guac & habanero ease the sting of raising his prices again but if people don't stop telling him how cheap things are, he'll be up to $3 a taco in no time. Cut it out. If you wanna pay more, tip the cooks & the girl taking your order. Stop wrecking my lunch budget lol“
“The food is nothing short of great. The service is not individually personable but nothing negative. The likely language barrier found with the authenticity tends to come off as unfriendly at times. A mom-and-pops/Food Truck vibe is here...and I'm here for it. My favorite is the Al Pastor tacos!“
