“My wife and I came to the Ellenton area on our honeymoon. Her local family reccomended we check out Woodys River Roo. It was our first stop and the only repeat stop during our week down here. We went to "The Roo" on three separate occasions and loved each one. The food was great, the view of the manatee river was very nice, but the friendly hardworking staff was the cherry on top. They all really seemed to love each other and worked together like a well oiled machine. They made us feel right at home and made sure everything was just right. Bar tender Johnny, who I belive said had been employed there for 15 years, reccomended a lot of other great places to drink and dine in the area. They also have a gift shop and live entertainment from, music to trivia 7 days a week! 10 out of 10 would reccomend. My wife and I hope to be back sooner than later!“

“Hubby had the cod, ff and coleslaw. The cod was perfectly breaded very lightly, the french fries yummy and we never got to the coleslaw (taking home leftovers). I had the shrimp scampi fettuccine, in butter sauce – Yum! The bread with the oil dip was wonderful. “we are having a 'staycation' of sorts to visit Anna Maria Island Beach, and I have to stay, after walking to 5(!) restaurants and being turned away, this amazing restaurant allowed me and my family of 5 to stay. Not only did they welcome us, Doug, our server, laughed with my kiddos, treated us like we were royalty and made our little staycation dinner- well...amazing. This is the kind of place that makes a city it resides in..PROUD. The food was nothing short of amazing, I am celiac and struggle on vacations, knowing where to eat. Thankful to God, that this chef is gluten intolerant - so I could eat just about everything on the menu. Do not be discouraged..they might not have a kids menu, but that did not stop Chateau 13 from editing any dish they were interested in to make them smile. I thought they were going to make me order another side of 'frites' to go!“

“On 08-03-2025 I ate at the Sonny's restaurant at 631 67th St Cir E in Bradenton, FL. This is a family-style BBQ restaurant with a very comfortable and welcoming ambiance. I arrived for dinner and was promptly seated. I had their Big Deal Turkey on a bun with fries, a side order of baked beans, and an unsweet tea. My food arrived in a timely manner and was cooked properly. It came exactly as I ordered it and was very tasty. A variety of sauces were available, and I selected the Sweet sauce. My server during my visit was Danielle. She was very efficient, kept my tea glass filled, and responded to any and all requests I had. I have had Danielle for a server several times before, and I consistently receive superior service from her. She is always friendly and courteous and takes a genuine interest in her customers, making sure that they have a positive dining experience. She is a credit and an asset to the business. I recommend this restaurant and will be returning there again to eat.“

“Took me & my kids out for lunch here, and the food was amazing, my girls had sushi, me & my son had thee hibachi dinner that comes with soup & salad. They serve you fresh good water with lemon with your meal. ( NO TAP WATER). Their smoothies are very good as well and you can add boba. We will be back to eat there. My kids favorite spot right now. “The food and service did not disappoint. My wife had the mahi tuna salad. It was excellent and crunchy as described on the menu I had scallops. They were perfectly cooked and very tender. Service was very good. Everything arrived timely hot, and the waiter did not hover have eaten at hundreds of restaurants and this is one of the better onesnot exceptionally expensive and in a mall but quite good food and service and I highly recommend.“

Therefore, no reservations showed when our party arrived. The host was icey, lacked empathy or understanding. He was extremely demeaning and haughty. Finally sat us at a table next to the kitchen which was appreciated. Our waiter was stellar and made everything feel friendly again. The food was outstanding......every course. Im a local for 48 years but the host made me feel like an idiot. Never smiled (not to anyone else arriving later). Maybe not the best first impression to offer your patrons.“

Its a fun environment. They have indoor & outdoor bar options. But too many love bugs to actually enjoy sitting outdoors. Bar service was top notch but it was also super slow on the day we were in.“

We ordered fried oysters, French fries, and cheese grits, and everything was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flavorful inside. The cheese grits were just the way I like them—nice and thick—and the fries were a great complement to the meal. Even better, our food arrived quickly and fresh. Our waitress, Lilly, was fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service. We also appreciated how the rest of the staff greeted us warmly as we walked through the restaurant. It’s little details like that that make a place feel extra welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, including the bathrooms, which is always a big plus. Anna Maria Oyster Bar now has four locations, and after this experience, I’d definitely visit again. Very busy and noisy for a Wednesday evening. We prefer a more intimate experience, as well as excellent food.“
