“Me and my husband called in a take out pizza from here. By the time we got off the beach it was ready, about 15 minutes. We got pepperoni, green peppers, and onions. This pizza was SO GOOD. You could tell it was wood fired, the pepperonis were crispy, and the toppings fresh.“

“I have mixed feelings. The Burrito: It is definitely not “huge” - it is an average size (I have a small hand) and I was not full after eating it. The server was so stingy on the ingredients she put literally a SPRINKLE of cheese and half a scoop of chicken. It was mostly rice and beans. The BYO Quesadilla: It had BARELY any cheese… this should absolutely not be called a Quesadilla but rather just a pressed taco. The flavor wasn’t bad but this is by no means a real Quesadilla. The Taco: flavor was good, but there was hardly any protein in it. Overall, I didn’t dislike my meal - it was slightly above average in taste. But the items are misleading and the portions are small for the price. I won’t be returning but if you want some quick Mexican, I wouldn’t discourage you from coming here - it was alright.“

“was recently at The Sand Bar for a beautiful and intimate wedding on a postcard perfect Friday night. I was not involved in the planning of this wedding leading up to that wonderful night but the Bride and Groom had nothing but good things to say about the staff here that assisted them in all their preparations. I met Bailey the day of the wedding and she was about the nicest person I have ever met. Her professionalism and organization made any help from us unnecessary. Bailey, Rick the bartender, the entire event staff, the restaurant staff and the vendors were all amazing and made the whole evening a wonderful, seamless affair for family and friends who all came out to celebrate this wonderful couple. I don’t know how they made it look so effortless and even special ordered us a perfect sunset! If you are thinking of having your special event here , you will not be disappointed. “Our server took our drink and appetizer order. Then from then we had to wave down another server for more drinks and our sandwiches and cake. The food was delicious. The service was not so great. Hard to recommend it, when we have to beg for service. Our original server did bring our bill which we had asked for. She immediately asked for my card to pay. She did in the end thank us. But she was not was friendly. She did not ask us how our food was. I did not feel appreciated.“

Our waitress was excellent and let us know from the beginning that she was backed up but would be back to us as soon as she could check on the other tables. She was actually the only server on duty!! The food was also excellent and well worth the wait and the price was very reasonable. We also sat where we could watch the kitchen staff working their butts off handling table orders as well as a stream of take out orders. All 5 of us agreed our experience was worth every minute. While we were there I didn't hear any complaints at all, which is highly unusual when you have any kind of wait. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We even tipped the kitchen staff for their hard work.“

The chicken livers and onions I really wanted to love, tasted peppery. The shrimp escargot was not worth finishing. No flavor at all. The melted cheese on it and the bread served with it were the best part of the dish. Our server was a bit forgetful but very friendly. We will return for sure for the sandwich and will read the reviews of food items before ordering.“

“Recommended on a FB Anna Maria Island Life page….. they were sooo right! Walking in you can clearly see they truly have bait and clean fish there. Very casual and super quaint. The Grouper sandwich came highly recommended. We’ve been eating them all week at different restaurants and every year we come down on different parts of the Gulf. This one ranks at the top! Our waitress explained “he” catches, cleans, fillets and hand breads each fillet. There is a different type of breading for each type of fish according to the type. Gotta try if you want fresh grouper done right!“

It’s cozy, and the waitresses are all kind.You get your food very fast, but at the same time there’s no “rush” that you see at other breakfast places, as in no fast paced panic. In all honesty; I was having a horrible morning before I walked in with my family, and the atmosphere here just exudes happiness and kindness, for lack of better words. You really have to try it to experience the warm, home-like feeling. I will visit this place every time I am near Bradenton.“
